"Dear Lord, I would have loved to have held my babies on my lap & tell them about you, but since I didn't get the chance, would you please hold them on your lap & tell them about me?" All are welcome!
I had a stupid moment today. Someone posted that 2018 is the year of the dog and I thought to myself, I wonder what year my baby will be born in? Umm turns out year of the dog..

Anyone else have anything that they can't eat at all? If I eat anything tomato based, I throw it up right away. Made the best spaghetti bake for dinner, so delicious, and forgot I can't eat it. A minute after dinner I was praying to the porcelain gods.... ugh
@May14th2011 I've been having a really strong aversion to most meat, but chicken in particular. Anything with chicken breast makes me gag. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't eat pasta sauce though. I feel like it makes up so much of my diet.

@may14th2011 I can't do tomato based. Spaghetti, pizza, even ketchup can only be a tiny dab. I did have a sliver of lasagna last wk. light sauce and followed it was chicken though. It doesn't make me sick. But aversion is strong and always gives me bad after tastes. It was the same with DS' pregnancy. I miss my big bowls of spaghetti

@sabby2 idk what that girls deal was. Someone mentioned in that middle name thread she might be the OP back with a new name. Seems plausible because literally nothing else happened.
@May14th2011 and @catlady1215 I cannot deal with tomatoes or ketchup at all. I was sitting outside waiting for an US appointment and a man sat down next to me with Nathan’s fries covered in ketchup. I could not handle the smell. I had to run away from him. Lol!
@sabby2 she WK'ed in the Boy Middle Name thread (possibly the OP reincarnated) and then posted a check-in on the week 3 check-in from like three weeks ago. So I just kindly (read: passive aggressively) linked the current week 3 check-in and she did not like that so she went off on the current one.
This is just my own judge-y self but she also said in her intro that she and her husband fell pregnant and I just think that is the weirdest thing to say. It sounds like it wasn't intentional but she was doing IVF so...

@catlady1215 I miss spaghetti sauce so much lol. Hopefully once baby comes I'll be able to eat it again. @LaceyBee522 that's rough! I've had a few of those episodes myself
@laceybee522 yes! one of ds' few meals he'll eat is chicken nuggets/fries. we're classy, and he eats at his little folding table in the living room lol. I make him take his plate into the kitchen immediately cause just the smell of the ketchup gets gross.
@may14th2011 you will! it took me a couple weeks, but I was back to eating all the sauce. It just took me alittle longer to like the kind of sauce we always bought, so we switched for a few months.
I will say. I was glad to have that aversion last time cause I had GD and if I had cravings for pizza and spaghetti while having GD, I would have cried every single day lol.

Happy New Years ladies! I have tried to log in and catch up now and then, but admittedly I am way behind.
We had a rough week + here. The Friday before Christmas my grandmother was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital. The following day she was put on comfort measures only and a few days later moved to hospice. She passed yesterday afternoon. In the middle of all of this one of my uncles was admitted to the hospital with heart issues. I have so many emotions right now. I am so happy for my grandmother because she has wanted this for years and she was ready, but I am sad for those of us left behind because she was such a huge part of our lives and we already miss her so much. I am grateful I was able to spend most days this week with her and I was with her when she passed. My DS went back to school today and I feel like I missed his whole vacation and I don’t feel like we had Christmas.
@Miz_Liz I'm so sorry to hear this! I lost my grandma recently in a similar way. It really is such a mix of emotions from relief for her and saddness for you. Hugs and I hope you have a relaxing January to catch your breath.

@Miz_Liz so sorry about grandma. It's such mixed emotions to know that they are at peace, yet we are still here trying to find it ourselves.
It makes the holidays such a struggle when going through difficult times. I, too, feel like I missed a lot of it this year too. My uncle is in the hospital due to severe pain that they couldn't figure out and they finally found a tumor. We have no answers as of now, but him not being around for the festivities just made everything feel off. My dad also has his first follow up scope for his removed bladder cancer tomorrow. We are walking on egg shells, pretty much.
Happy for you that you got to spend time with your grandma and hope your uncle is doing better.
