@ffw0617 I'm right there with you. MH packs my lunch everyday (#humblehusbandbrag) and I've had to tell him that I need more food!
@lisa2589 totally been there! TMI warning, usually I like to HIO with a full bladder because for some reason that makes things a bit extra but I tried that a couple weeks ago and it was not comfortable.

DH and I tried to DTD the other day while my mom was at the grocery store. We're both lazy so we tried for spoons. Our dachshund just very happily climbed right on top of us, like, laying across both of us. We were dying laughing. We tried to shoo her away, but she just kept climbing right back. She's never done that before! Like, even when we're going to sleep, she doesn't climb on top of us. I told DH perhaps this is what trying to have sex with kids is like.
@lisa2589 when she was a puppy, DH was home with her and the only trick he trained her to do was when someone made kissy noises or said "kisses" she'd come give them a kiss. This backfired because anytime she'd hear us kissing, she'd POUNCE like I must be part of these family kisses! So that was a problem. lol
@krashke I def think she knows I'm pregnant. She follows me around and wants to snuggle or sit in my lap constantly. It's really cute. She's always been a snuggler, but this is next level.
and I'm gonna join in that my one cat really gets 'in the way' often. She snuggles into my side/hip every night as soon as I lay down. And she hardly ever gets the hint that she needs to move.

@doxiemoxie212, I'm pretty sure our dog has also caught on. She's not very cuddly in general, but within the first week of me being pregnant, she's asking to get put up on the couch with me to snuggle all the time (she's got problems with her back legs so she can't jump up herself). Before she only did this selfishly to get some couch sitting time and would move to the end of the couch and sleep against the armrest, but now she leans all her body weight into me and rests her chin on my boob when we're spooning.

Animals can definitely sense something. My first cat (we lost him in September ) laid on and sniffed my belly every day when I was pregnant with DD. My dogs are more clingy. This kitten (8 months) tries to spoon with my belly when I sleep.
Awww, I could listen to pet stories and look at pet pics all day!
We have two cats, and one of them has some sort of insane radar for when H and I are about to hit it. He will literally race all the way upstairs from the basement, meowing all the way. He is very into sniffing our butts.

@ffw0617 my appetite has also started to really ramp up this week.
Regarding the pets, TMI and after dark talk: my cat likes to show up RIGHT after, which I guess I appreciate the privacy. Afterwards though he walks in and gives the look and checks stuff out. No idea how he knows it's over.
We also had sex for the second time only this past weekend. The first time, last month, I bled and then was having some issues, so this time still wasn't very thrilling. My mind was only half into it and half into "am I gonna bleed again?" Then the minute we were done we both got up to check immediately. Good news...all good, no bleeding. Bad news...I couldn't get in the zone. Hoping next time I can relax and enjoy it now.
Anyone else feel like the pathway to orgasm feels totally different now? Like the buildup? I don’t orgasm that easily (and I’m also highly impatient), but you know, over the years I’ve figured it out and can usually get it done fairly quickly, but it’s like the same things feel different now? Like the amount of pressure I like, etc? Anyone relate?
@doxiemoxie212 I'm not sure that my path to orgasm feels different, per se, but sex overall definitely feels different to me during pregnancy, especially during the second trimester. Some stuff feels extra good and makes me orgasm more easily, and other stuff just doesn't feel like it used to. I think that's pretty normal!

The bomb cyclone thing hit New York this morning. Schools and offices closed. I am definitely not complaining about a work from home today. Feel bad for the folks who do have to go out today. So nasty and the trains/buses are totally screwed up.
@doxiemoxie212 definitely! Non-pregnant, I don't always orgasm but I enjoy myself the whole time. I'm finding that while pregnant I will be fully enjoying myself one second and the next it's completely gone, I could be done right then and there with no finish. Then I struggle to get back into it and I feel like I have to force myself to orgasm. Which usually involves getting out the toys and pretty much ignoring MH. I feel bad but he always gets his so he shouldn't have anything to complain about.

@doxiemoxie212 this could not be the case at all for you, but just throwing this out as a possibility: sometimes pressure directly above the clitoris helps you reach orgasm quicker. Its one of the reasons way orgasms with a toy feel different from orgasm with a man (you don't have that pressure at the top). Now that you're pg there is more space between the 2 of you and less (or no) pressure right above the clitoris to helps you reach that quicker orgasm.
I realize it's no longer after dark, but @doxiemoxie212 I definitely agree that orgasms are different. DH seems pretty okay with the switch though because foreplay does nothing for me these days. Like I just want to skip to the main event every time and that gets me there so much faster than it ever did before. Like sometimes pretty much instant orgasm depending on position.
And I can't remember the last time we DTD without the dogs on the bed... luckily we have a king and they usually just lay at the foot. It's like if we're in bed, then they have to be too.

@Amphibious22 That's totally one way sex is different for me during pregnancy--penetration gets me off in a way it doesn't usually. Maybe because of all the extra blood flow down there?
Me: 34 Husband: 35 Married: June 2007
Son Max born 1/10/17 BFP #2: 10/5/17; EDD: 6/11/18
@MoonOverGoldsboro@Amphibious22 yes I think it’s down to increased blood flow and the shifting of the pelvic organs that makes everything feel totally different!
The main thing for me is that it used to be that at first, during foreplay or whatever, I need really light pressure on my clit or it's painful, but once we start penetration, that isn't an issue anymore. But it seems like I need very light pressure now throughout. Even more than that, though, is sort of what @krashke mentioned, like, it used to be very easy for me to be like okay, we're on the right track, if we keep going this way it's going to happen, but now it's like oh okay, we lost that completely, let's go start from the beginning again lol. Also I'm 18+5 and I have zerrrrooooo of this second trimester libido increase. Alas. Good thing DH is too stressed from work to GAF. lol
Kind of embarrassing to admit but prior to BFP, I had very low libido....DTD almost as a chore 1x weekly for years now. I even talked to my PCP and she brushed it off as normal. I do recall my libido stronger in early 20s and while I was on birth control so I always suspected a hormone imbalance as I've been off BC maybe 7 years when I noticed drive go down. Anyways, these days I can't get enough and DH sure is excited. Sure helps prove the case for hormones and likely the increased blood flow as sensitivity is higher. I'm hoping it lasts for a while and I don't revert back to my old ways of obligatory sex.
Has anyone seen the video of MRI of baby floating around social media? Maybe this should be in UO because I find it super creepy. All I see is Jack Skelton from Nightmare before Christmas when baby stretches! Obviously, the movement is vital to growth and development but something's I guess are left as blissful ignorance you me
I told DH over Christmas that sex does not count as a gift and he was genuinely surprised. Now he's spending his time looking up gifts I might like, of his own accord, because he apparently legitimately thought sex was a gift... what the... I love him but wow. Just wow.
I finally gave in to my ramen noodle craving. When I was fixing them, however, I noticed that one packet of ramen is considered TWO SERVINGS. Shut the front door! Who are you trying to kid, Top Ramen?!?!?! I have trouble believing that there are substantial numbers of ramen eaters who say "Oh, this whole big bowl of noodles is just toooooo much for lil ole me."
@May14th2011 - That doesn't count if it's a gift for them, though, right? I've totally given H a BJ and/or sex as a gift...
@kfren - Have you ever eaten Ramen while still dry? Like, you break up the noodles (I do it while still in the package because mess) so they're smaller chunks, and then pour the flavouring over the dry noodles, mix it together so they're coated good, and then enjoy the crunchy-noodles! My brother and I did that all the time as kids, and I had a craving for Ramen last month and ended up eating two packages of dry crunchy noodles by myself... It was glorious. I definitely suggest trying it!
@doxiemoxie212 - I saw that and I want it so bad!! I hate having to scrape things in to bowls when I'm done chopping one thing and need to chop another. That chopping board is my dream come true. H bought me a new one that has a ridge around the edge to catch any blood for raw meat that you cut, but I don't think he realized I never cut raw bloody meat. I kind of use it to hold the food I'm done chopping, but it's just not the same.
@izza2 What?!?!?! I do love crunchy noodles, but it never occurred to me to try them dry. I'll have to try that. It sounds pretty tasty! Thanks for sharing
@kfren - No problem. My husband isn't a fan of Ramen (but of course, when I was eating them, he wanted me to cook some for him so he could have sympathy-Ramen... okay..), and scoffed when I told him about the dry noodles. He doesn't understand Ramen love.
Hey, we have the new ultrasound thread that the regulars/people who actually pay attention to the board will see/use. Should we ask BGs to unpin the old ultrasound thread? I've no doubt it'll still end up bumped.
@sunshineandwhiskey - I was thinking of that, as well. I kind of figure if people who haven't announced yet (like me!) wanted to share their announcements, they could either bump the thread or just do it on randoms...
I also am having an OCD moment right now and went through the spreadsheet for the first time in over a month and deleted half of the people on there because they haven't participated since October or their only post was for the spreadsheet back in November... Or they just haven't participated period but added themselves to the spreadsheet (which is weird to me, but okay).
And I'm having a moment where I feel like we're already a really small group of people who have weeded out the people who aren't interested in being a part of the community, and it makes me want to suggest starting a private group on TB, but I'm wondering if that's too much.
Don't mind me. I'm having one of "those" days today.
Also, July's sex thread is a cluster, so if you're also having a bad OCD day or don't want to have anxiety, I don't suggest looking at it. 136 posts don't mean everyone knows the sex of their baby, or something interesting went down. Trust me.
@izza2 I was thinking about the same thing the other day! (When the board was dead for over a week haha) We would def set a record of a private group this quick but I agree that it already feels like such a small group already. July’s ultrasound thread gave me a headache too. How hard is a love tit???

@doxiemoxie212 I like the idea of that workstation but in general I don't like wood cutting boards. I'm not usually a germaphobe but I just never feel like they're clean. My dad is a big cook and his wood cutting board looks disgusting. We get cheap plastic ones from Ikea and replace them probably once a year.
@izza2 we used to do that with our ramen as kids too. Also I appreciate the board clean up. I feel like we have a pretty small group now that I wouldn't be opposed to a private group as well but I would want the BMB to say somewhat active because I feel like we have some people that only pop in once a week or so and we're still early enough for newbies to join and I wouldn't want them to come to a dead BMB.

Ugh @izza2 yeah I went there one day thinking how can over 100 people in July already know the sex? We don’t even have that many yet! Then I thought maybe there would be some drama... Nope, just a bunch of cluttered up gender reveal things, yada yada. But anyways, thanks for cleaning up the spreadsheet for us. I’ve noticed things narrowing down here quite a bit as well.
