  • @mandurz Yay! Sounds like you've had a great response so far! GL adding in the Gonal F!

@krenee124 Glad to hear you've been doing a bit better. Sounds like your doctor is keeping on top of things. I hope you continue to improve. Gosh, your little bean must be a fighter!!!!

@ndz2018 Wohoo! So exciting! Your ER is just around the corner!

@bpietronicco Good luck with your beta tomorrow!  FX for great news for you!

Ugh, I am definitely getting uncomfortable. I was having really light cramping here and there over the last couple of days, but holy crap, it really picked up today. My ovaries are definitely feeling all the growing follicles.  Acupuncture went well today so hopefully that helped in the ovarian stimulation department!

    @tosh24 When’s your next monitoring ?

@bpietronicco FX for your beta tomorrow!!

Question : what did you or will you do with your leftover UNOPENED medication ? I have Two unopened boxes of Gonal and an unopened thing of pregnayl . I know how much people pay for these meds out of pocket. My insurance covered it and I paid $124 for everything so I would HATE for these to go to waste.  I wonder If the clinic has a donation program. Any suggestions welcome!
  • @ndz2018 last time I donated it to my clinic and they were over the moon.

  • @ndz2018 since I have a positive hcg the symptoms will last until the hcg stops being produced so could be 10-12 weeks at most! :open_mouth: I am praying it’s not that long but whatever it takes! I saved my unopened/unused meds and used them for next cycle but also had people donate them to me. I met a girl in my local ttc group who had a few left over items she shared! My office did not take donations.

I hope this baby/babies are fighting hard in there! I’m certainly doing my best to take care of them!

@bpietronicco good luck mama!!! The 28th is finally here! Fingers crossed!!!

@tosh24 I’m glad acupuncture is helping!! I never did do it but was going to give a try!
  • @ndz2018 It's Friday morning. I was going to say to donate it to your clinic as well. Not that I want to be pessimistic, but I'd wait until you know you won't be needing another round to get rid of it!

@tosh24 True but my insurance covers everything ,including medications,  for another 3 cycles after this, so if I did Do another ER it wouldn’t be till at least Feb and I’m sure all the meds will be covered like this round was. I still have my septum surgery scheduled for Jan 22nd...I’m sure IF this Cycle is a bust they wouldn’t do another ER till at least after the surgery and if I can Help someone else out in the meantime who is OOP with meds it would make me feel better about paying practically nothing when someone else is paying thousands for them.
So hoping this is our last and only ER that we’ll be doing! I can definitely feel it in my ovaries these last few days! Looking forward to Fri morning!
  • We are OOP and our clinic gives out medication that they received as donations from other patients.  It has helped me out a lot!
  • @bpietronicco AWESOME!! Good luck today!
  • Beta came back at 134.  Low progesterone so adding PIO.  So nervous.  TW for my CP my beta was much lower but lost at 4 Weeks 3 days. END TW
  • Congratulations @bpietronicco!!!! I've been anxiously awaiting your update! I can totally relate to the PGAL brain. One day at a time :) FX that your beta keeps going in the right direction and that you finally get your take home baby!

  • Thanks everyone!!! I have BW in the 2nd, 4th and US on the 9th.  Not looking forward to the PIO either but whatever it takes right????
  • Best of luck tomorrow @ndz2018!!! You are so kind to donate your meds because your insurance has med coverage! That’s amazing!
  • @ndz2018 I must have glossed over the part where you said you have insurance coverage for your meds. No harm in donating then!!! Good luck with your ER today. I hope everything goes smoothly!

@krenee124 How are you feeling today?

AFM, I had my CD10 monitoring today. I was hoping for a few more follies in the 1.5-1.6 range at this point, but it is what it is. I'm trying not to stress and worry because it's not like I'm not doing everything I can at this point with the supplements, acupuncture and the meds. On my right ovary I have a 1.3, a 1.2, and a 1.1. On my left ovary I have a 1.7, 1.6, 1.6, 1.5, 1.4, 1.4, 1.2, and a 1.0. My left ovary has always been the better producer. My lining is at a 1.2. I'm getting fairly uncomfortable, especially in my left ovary. It's hard to put on socks in the morning lol! And my pants are tight today (and they're yoga pants, so....). I have acupuncture tomorrow so FX that helps things along. The nurse will call to confirm when my blood work is back, but she's thinking that they'll see me again for monitoring on Sunday.

I had 2 12mm on the right and several smaller. The left was hiding today but still measured 2 12s and 1 11 and a few smaller. I was hoping for some a bit bigger but I am still happy with what we have. I imagine Dr might up my gonal f for tomorrow but we shall see.

I am getting better! Blood work came back in the normal range for electrolytes and all.. no more betas. First ultrasound on 1/5. I think I will feel and believe more when I see it!! I’m a nervous wreck after last time.
  • @krenee124 so glad to hear you are getting better!!

So so excited for you @tosh24 and @mandurz. Moving right along!!
  • @mandurz That sounds like a good start! I think I remember you saying you were slow to respond in the beginning but then your ovaries take off? Here's to hoping you've woken some more sleepyheads by your next appointment :)

@krenee124 So glad to hear that you're feeling better!!!!!!!! Count down to the ultrasound is on!

@bpietronicco Thank you! Looking forward to hearing your u/s results. I bet it feels like time is moving so unbearably slowly.

@ndz2018 I've also been stalking the thread today waiting to hear about your ER. Hope it all went well!

Got a call from my nurse. They're going to see me on Sunday morning for my next monitoring appointment. She thinks I'll trigger either Sunday or Monday night for retrieval on Tuesday or Wednesday, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what Sunday's numbers say. They measure estrogen in different units in Canada than in the US, so I don't know how my numbers measure up to other levels that people have posted, but my estrogen on Tuesday was about 2850 and my estrogen today was 9290 (the number in Canada works out to be much bigger than in the US...I'll have to ask for the units so I can convert them online).

  • Sorry guys I was in and out of sleep all day!
29 EGGS!!  TWENTY FREAKIN NINE!!! I get The call tomorrow to see how many fertilized we are using ICSI so im assuming a lot? We’ll see :):)
  • @ndz2018 excuse my language but holy sh*t! Are you doing a freeze all? Do they think you’re at risk for OHSS? It’s HORRIBLE FYI and with that many eggs oh my!!! Yay good luck with fertilization!!!
  • ndz2018ndz2018 member

It feels like there’s a giant air bubble in my uterus. I’m a little uncomfortable. I’ve been trying to stay super hydrated and eat salty foods. She did say that there is a slight chance of OHSS but it’s rare. However I feel kinda crappy this morning. I’ll most likely just lounge around today. Do you have higher risk of developing OHSS if they retrieve lots of eggs ?

I was just as shocked as you are when they told me 29 eggs!!! Like i said I havent been keep track or counting at the appointments so my jaw dropped when I heard that number!

Yes we will be freezing the ones that make it to day 5, they’ll be biopsied and PGS tested. I’m probably looking at a March/April transfer.
  • OK just got the call. 21 fertilized.... now we wait till Jan 4th
  • Awesome retrieval and fert numbers @ndz2018!!!! FX for a great freeze report!

Yes, the more eggs you have,  the higher your estrogen level probably is. And the higher your estrogen, the greater risk you have for developing OHSS. If you're not already, I'd be proactive and start drinking gatorade, smart water, and/or coconut water and eating salty snacks.

  • @ndz2018 typically the more eggs the higher your estrogen. If you trigger with Ovidrel you’re at higher risk than some of the other triggers. Hcg is what triggers OHSS typically in combination with your estrogen! Freeze all is good .. even if you did get hyper stimulated it won’t last AS long! Yes to Gatorade, Powerade, && a lot of protein. Eggs, meat, nuts, beef jerky lol congrats on 21 fertilizing! That’s awesome! Can’t wait to continue to follow your journey!
  • @tosh24 I’m armed with Gatorade! I’m going to tell H when he goes out to get me a few things at the store.
@krenee124 How did you feel the day after retrieval? I didn’t think I’d be feeling like this the following day. Crappy, bloated, feel like crap so I’m just gonna kinda rest and use this time to eat like crap

  • @ndz2018 21 fertilized wow that's great! Hope you don't get the ohss, can't wait to hear how many you will have on Jan 4th

@ndz2018 after my 1st retrieval I was like a million bucks! I went back to work and was great! This time around was a different story - I was sore, largely bloated, and felt cramps for about 4 days. I finally felt better 5 days after retrieval but was still bloated. & the. 5 days after transfer is when I developed ohss and bloat has never gone away
  • @krenee124 This morning is a tad better but I dont see myself doing much tonight. When did you do your egg retrievals?
  • @ndz2018 yes take it easy.. don’t move too quick! First was 2/14/17 and 2nd was 12/5/17
  • So, looks like I'm triggering tonight! Sh*t just got real! I'm kind of freaking out now. We anticipate about 12 mature follies by ER on Tuesday. My "goal" was 12-15 so hopefully I'm right on target. Follicles are between 1.6 and 2.3 cm today with about 6 more over 1.0. My lining is still at 1.2. Just waiting for bloodwork so they can let me know the timing for trigger and ER and if I'm triggering with HCG or Suprefact (I'm concerned about OHSS). Ahhhhh!

Thanks ladies!!! I'm triggering with Suprefact because my estrogen level is at 16, 400 and you start being at risk for OHSS at about 20,000 (Canadian units!!!!!). I go in for bloodwork tomorrow at 730 to make sure the trigger worked. ER at 8:15 Tuesday morning!

  • @tosh24 Totally agree! Thank goodness for this community!
  • @tosh24 that's awesome that you are triggering today! I know you will get a good number of eggs and glad you are right where your goal was.

AFM another few days. I am gonna nickname my overies creepers this time. Last time it's like they exploded but this time they are taking their sweet time. I have 8 that she measured between 10-13 with 4 on each side. I feel like there are a few more but she is only measuring the main ones which is perfectly fine. Between Wednesday and Friday my estrogen went down and Dr didn't increase my shot which is super suprising, his reason was the follicles we're still growing so wanted to let them be one more time before any changes. I am waiting to see what my levels are at today and what my shot dosage will be for tomorrow. Then back for a monitor Tuesday. I am still very glad we have around 8measurable follicles cuz that was the top end of our goal so I am still in high hopes that things are right on track (just taking a few extra days).
