It hit a nerve and I started getting really angry and annoyed at every announcement. So that's when I decided to take a break. I don't want to be "that" person with my negative attitude, but I've become that. This week my husband's business partner let us know his wife is expecting their third and they "weren't even trying." The same day one of our store managers went around telling anyone and everyone she is 6 weeks pregnant. Well lucky you guys.
So I ovulated super early this cycle, pretty sure it was CD 11ish. I haven't been temping so can't say for sure...but anyway, I had planned on not buying any pregnancy tests until after Christmas.
Well...I'm cleaning out under our bathroom sink looking for another stick of deodorant and what do I find but a perfect, not expired, unopened frer.
The temptation is STRONG, guys. It's way too early to test now but I can't stop thinking about "cheating" on the plan I made for myself...like maybe I could just test at 10 dpo...or 8...
@honeybeebub About 6dpo, my best guess based on opk and symptoms, way too soon! I wanted to wait until after the holiday to avoid disappoinment/stress. Holidays are emotionally charged as it is. But now... we'll see if I can hold out
@lumosmaxima Ah we're around the same DPO. I'm either 5 or 6. Holding on testing until at least this weekend, which is still early. FX this is our month!
We hit a major deliverable at work today and someone said "'tis the season for miracles". I sure hope so, 'cause I could certainly use a miracle... And the BSC in me has arrived, thinking how if I had a BFP this month I could wrap it up as a gift for DH or say it was a gift that I forgot to give him if it was after Christmas. Gah, why do I do this to myself!?! I just set myself up for disappointment...

I’m with you ladies! Last month I tested thanksgiving morning at 11dpo thinking how wonderful it would be to get a positive. Now this month I’m thinking what a Christmas gift it would be....trying not to get my hopes up. 9dpo today. Will probably cave and test tomorrow. No symptoms but I have noticed some ewcm. Not sure what that means??
Gah, I hate this batch of OPKs, going back to my previous brand next month. I don't know why I trusted a positive OPK on CD11, especially since I have never ovulated that early. CD17 yesterday, with EWCM, cramping and a glowing positive OPK. So back to 1DPO. Glad we were BDing for fun after my fake O.
@Racso12 I have heard the EWCM post O go both ways, some say it is a predictor of BFP, some say AF. I'm hoping for you it is BFP!

@Racso12@honeybeebub I’ll be 11 DPO on Christmas morning. I usually cave and test at 11 DPO but it’s such an emotionally charged day to test I’m not sure I will.
Also DH very clearly has his hopes up this cycle and I don’t want to disappoint him- not that he would hold it against me or anything, I’m sure you ladies understand what I mean.

@vlagrl29@dpjennifer I don't trust my body anymore. I need to use something because I'm driven towards science and control. Although temping seems like a lot of work. I don't want to get up at 4:30a on the weekend to stay consistent with the week. If it were up to me I would already be doing monitored cycle (plus I'm interested to know how thick my lining is actually getting). So if Dec doesn't pan out I'll get my science cycle in Jan.

oh I understand ladies @honeybeebub@dpjennifer - my body is OCD like my mind so that's why I don't temp or OPK plus it makes me BSC. Looks like we will be together with science next month! Science yo! - breaking bad reference I'm looking forward to my RE appt in a few weeks. Get up in the UTE and find something for me or find nothing and I will have a peace of mind. Well my science cycle wouldn't be until Feb I'm guessing. But I am going to ask for an U/S from them.
@honeybeebub ugh opks are such a love/hate thing. I don’t temp because my sleep is so inconsistent. So I rely on opks. I’ve had wonky readings, too. Hopefully you can get some good timing in now with your real O. I was also reading the EWCM post O can go both ways, too. So basically it means nothing. Hahaha
@lin0442 oooh that is a tough one. I would probably have a hard time not testing. But if you keep yourself busy maybe you won’t think about it?
Possible TW - is anyone familiar with wondfo pregnancy tests? 10dpo today and took one this morning. Super, super, super faint line. Like it may just be an evap line. Do wonfos usually have those? I’m telling myself it’s an evap line to avoid disappointment.
@Racso12 Woo! A super faint line seems about right for 10DPO. Wondfos have been accurate for me (the 4 times I have been preg) so I'm gonna say congratulations! Do you have any FRERs to take?

@honeybeebub thank you! But I’m being very cautious. I’m crazy and I went and dig out yesterday’s test which I purposely shoved to the bottom of the garbage and it also had the same incredibly faint line. It’s making me think it’s just showing up after the test has been sitting out for awhile. My husband said just to wait until I miss my period to test. Clearly he doesn’t understand how our minds work.

My PCOS throws everything off so I can only guess when I ovulate. My last cycle was 37 days, so I plugged that into the First Response app and my fertile days were the 13-17. Now offically in TWW mode hoping and praying it was right! We almost at the year and a half mark of TTC.

Hi all, this TWW is a rough one with the holidays looming! I'm due for AF on Christmas Day, I'm anxious to test because that gives me some sense of control, but I'm trying to hold off knowing it's too early.

Are you thinking that you will try to test earlier or wait until after?
AFM I'm just sitting over here with the longest ThreeWW ever since messing up the O. At least we have lots planned after this week is over. It seems like it's Friday at work already... I think I'll probably test next Friday.

@honeybeebub - that's how I found out last year I was pg with our loss. 3 days in a row of pos opk. I had a period and was tracking O for 7dpo prog test. Talk about crazy!
im cd 20 today and maybe BD 1 more time tonight. I thought maybe I've already Od but I've had some discharge today. Not ewcm so not sure.
@honeybeebub I try to monitor it, temping is all over the place and OPKs don't work. I mostly try to look a CM. That seems to be the only real indication of fertility I have. I hate noy knowing... I have to admit I've POAS and of course it's a BFN. I still have like another 6 days before anything might show lol!

Update : TW - didn’t test yesterday because the line was so, so faint the day before. Tested today and got a marginally darker line and also tested with a FRER and got a second line. I am hopeful but cautious. It is a strange feeling. I will probably continue to linger here for a bit longer if you all don’t mind. While I didn’t post much this group was extremely helpful to me following my loss. So thank you for that.
@rasco12. Congrats!!! FWIW, don't read too much into the EWCM after O. It just means you had a bit of an estrogen surge. I get them all the time, even when no chance of being KU ;) Enjoy a h&h 9 months!!!!
@honeybeebub with temping, no need to get up as early as you normally do even on weekends. I always just set a soft temping alarm, or some girls use their fitbit to vibrate and then go back to sleep. Nbd
