@nessa1632 I wouldn't register for diapers and wipes. People MIGHT get you some, they might not, but IMO its a wasted registry item.
What I'd do instead is buy one brand of wipes and two different brands of newborn diapers. Use them/test them on the baby. Once you figure out which brand works well, set up a subscription delivery of the items (I use Amazon) and have shipments come every 1-2 months. Easy peasy and you never have to buy diapers lol.
@vintageandrea90 I wouldn't register for a pump. Like Julzy said you can probably get one for free from your insurance company. I'd start investigating that right away! However you can get one (free from insurance or purchasing/registering for one) I highly recommend you DO IT!!!
For moms that want to EBF I think you should register for a super comfy nursing pillow, nursing tank tops, nipple cream, and nipple gel cooling pads. I used the gel pads and nipple cream constantly in the first two weeks with my first. And I'm still wearing nursing tank tops and my first is 3 years old (in my defense I've been pregnant and/or BFing for nearly four years straight at this point...)

Do y’all think it’s worth registering for diapers and wipes? Or is that like clothes- we’ll probably get some anyway? I also have no sense of how many diapers and wipes to prep before the baby’s comes- only that it’ll take a little to figure out which brand work she best for us.
I am but only for for one pack in two different sizes via Amazon. There are over 100 diapers in one pack though so it's quite a few. We are not doing a diaper party or anything so I figured why not and a lot of people like Amazon especially if they have prime (saves on the shipping fee). So I figure is someone wants to send us $50 worth of diapers as a shower gift I would gladly accept it! I did the same thing for wipes... just put a pack from amazon on the registry.
@ladythrice that's why I'm so on the fence. LO will be right next to us for the first 5-6 months so I feel like maybe it's unnecessary, but also have that whole anxious FTM thing where I'm like what if one of the cats lays on his face while we are sleeping and kills him... Probably a little insane, I realize, but welcome to my brain lol.
NOT that insane actually... my best friend’s cat got into her son’s crib one night and scratched up his face! I’m surprised that cat lived to see another day but thankfully the baby was ok.
Ugh. Poor baby! Definitely time for some help from Jackson galaxy!! I’m fortunate that our senior kitty is pretty stand offish towards the Little’s. ( he’ll sleep in their beds during the day but when they’re home he disappears until bedtime). Our adolescent cat was convinced ds was her baby she groomed him constantly (and would glare at me like I wasn’t doing my job lol) and despite him loving on her now as a toddler has never once scratched him intentionally. (Once she was trying to jump over him and caught his leg with her back paw, but didn’t even draw blood). All cats are different around babies and you have to be diligent for sure.
@riversdoctor I don't worry too much about my older guy, he is a love bug, but we have a younger female who is always lovable, but she's also very stupid. She is the cat that gets into everything and eats everything. She will dig a poo out of the box she chase it like a toy.... She is just weird, so who knows what she will be like with baby.

These are great suggestions and YASSSSS to the bolded. Nipple gel cooling pads kept in the fridge FTW!
