MH is enjoying the ‘off season’, so he’s around to cook when I work, which means we are in the winter routine of lots of soups or fairly healthy meals that include salads.
I have always been an all day grazer, and it’s probably even more so with a stomach restricted by babies. Love apples, clementines, yogurt and animal crackers. But if I run out at work I will eat whatever candy is around
What am I not eating? Oh wait, there’s an answer to that one, and unfortunately it’s adequate amounts of fruits and vegetables. I cook dinner every night and always cook vegetables/with vegetables in my meal, but getting myself to choose fruit and veg as snacks during the day has been a real challenge. I continue to crave carbs like no one’s business, and yogurt/dairy sounds good to me, too.

My cravings have been so strong ever since about Thanksgiving, and what I'm craving changes every hour or so LOL! The most recent cravings include taco bell, tomato soup & grilled cheese, steak, and ALL the chocolate.
I've changed up my diet the past few months and started grazing, snacking, and eating smaller meals more often. I think I've been doing a decent job of eating healthy. My go-to's are yogurt, fiber one bars, granola bars, grapes and cheese, and oatmeal. We eat a lot of grilled chicken, brown rice, and ground turkey at home normally, and that hasn't changed much since I've been pregnant. Although I have been craving red meat quite often lately!
@lindsye I hear ya. I wasn't making either a priority here, i'm not a big fruit person to begin with. Apple season made wanting apples easy but they are starting to decrease in quality around here now so i'm trying to find substitutes.
I started making sure we had fresh veggies to steam/sautee around here more regularly. Its still a struggle some days for sure!
@ekendall09 Ugh, now I am feeling guilty lol....but motivated. I have a box of RX bars that were actually just delivered today. Do you make your salads or purchase them from somewhere?
No aversions or cravings for me, just hungry quite a bit. I try to eat about 5-6 small meals a day and need to start prepping more rather than just waiting til I'm hungry to decide what I want.
EVERYTHING. I have been 3rd tri hungry lately and it is an issue. Breakfast is usually oatmeal and fruit. Lunch is usually a sandwich or salad. Dinner really varies at our house. But thai food, fajitas, and what we call asian bowls are usually on the dinner docket. Yogurt and cheese for snacks.
@klburke88 I looooove t bell. But try to limit my visits, cause well its not great for you. But come Feb and March and that struggle will be real!!
@lindsye I'm glad I'm not the only one craving all the carbs and cheese! It's not as strong as the first tri but almost. I also am sweets fiend and eat some kind of peppermint chocolate or sweet after lunch and/or dinner every day. Sorry not sorry. At least I'm not totally averse to vegetables like I used to be. I try to eat veggies at least once a day and eat salads 4-5 / week. Hopefully the prenatal fills in the gaps?
@bchalm I've been resisting temptation pretty well so far, though I did have a beef quesoritto a couple of weeks ago. I pass it every day on my way home from work and say, "Not today!"
I think I’m either turning into a horse or a bunny but I’m craving raw carrots which I don’t usually eat when not pregnant. It’s weird! That and Thai food and bolognese sauce.
Ugh, I never get 'cravings' while pregnant. Plenty of them when I'm NOT pregnancy but my pregnancies are full of aversions. I hate it. Not that I don't eat... I eat plenty of crap I just don't crave any of it and it makes me feel like I'm missing out!

Chocolate. It's completely out of control, especially with all the holiday gifts our vendors are sending to the office. The office kitchen is a war zone. I thought it was so great being pregnant around the holidays and now I'm realizing it is absorbing too much of my brain space. And that space is limited guys. Great, and now I would like some oatmeal.
I'm really struggling with meat. Unless it is being shepherded by bread, in which case, more please. But a steak on a plate or a nice piece of salmon I usually would have loved, no thank you.
I have been craving salmon like crazy lately. I've also been wanting sweets, and it's so hard to ignore! I at least make myself feel better about it with the knowledge that I've been having really healthy lunches with lots of fresh fruits and veggies.
Doritos! Lately I have just wanted them, I'm trying not to indulge to much but it is so hard. Also sometimes just some super greasy fries with salt or any seasoning on them. Again limiting intake of those too. Also add salads it seems like every where we got I need a salad.
The only aversion I have is maybe chicken. The sleep makes me gag a little not all the time but most of the time.
Eggs! Over easy on toast or poached on pasta. Lately this sandwich H makes has been tasting delicious. Usually it sounds gross because when left to fend for himself he eats like a stoned college kid. It's usually salami, bologna, and/or ham with banana peppers, pickles, American cheese, spinach, and stadium mustard, on toasted bread. Wtf? It's amazing. There's spinach, so it's healthy I am also forcing fruits and vegetables. It's so hard when all I want to do is smash a bagel and cream cheese. No aversion to anything anymore.
@scuba_chic sometimes I make them and sometimes I just go through the salad bar at work (which is amazing!!) My go tos at home include lentils and annie's goddess dressing topped with morning star veggie burgs! so good!
No current aversions. I was on a serious scrambled eggs + broccoli + goat cheese kick first tri that got old. I was craving spicy food (still am) but heart burn. Been rocking the avocado toast with TJ everything but the bagel seasoning. Trying to avoid sugar but it's a craving.
Wow. So many of you are still eating so...healthy. Unfortunately I'm still choking down veggies so i guess that is my aversion. I'm totally craving ice cream. I have it every night. It replaces the wine.
You guys are certainly making me feel like a horrible eater! I'm starving all the time and have the biggest sweet tooth! I'm proud if I get in any veggies! I do a protein shake daily because I am suddenly not wanting meat (which is weird)!
No aversion, but I am craving the heck out of carbs and sugar. Like I'd shank someone for something sugary.
I try to be good, so breakfast is a granola cereal, first snack (second breakfast?) is usually nuts. Lunch is leftovers or a low cal frozen dinner, then second snack is an orange or grapes. Dinner is a crapshoot, but doesn't have near enough vegetables. I don't like non-fresh veggies on a good day, so with all the carb cravings, they just don't happen.
Not really experiencing any cravings or aversions. I don't have much of an appetite anymore so I try to graze on relatively healthy foods throughout the day.
I have my good days and my days where I just give in and say F you all, I’m pregnant and I’m EATING IT. The beginning of this thread was making me feel kinda guilty, haha. Bowl of cereal every morning for breakfast, then I’ll try to do fruit for snack but if there are bagels in the office I’m having one. Lunch is usually relatively healthy, either leftovers or a sandwich or salad. Trying to do fruit or veg for snacks but honestly in the office in December there are freaking cookies everywhere. I’m in purchasing so I get tons of vendor gifts at the holidays sent to my attention and I’m not gorging myself but also not saying no, lol. Small desserts have also happened pretty frequently after dinner lately. I’m hungry all the time but I realize halfway through a meal that I can’t eat as much as I used to.
Note to self, you can no longer fit an entire Chipotle burrito bowl into your body in one sitting. HOLY UNCOMFORTABLE BLOAT BATMAN.
omg @frenchiekinplusone the holiday office snacks are unreal. I missed our holiday bake off last week and i'm sure my body is thanking me but i SOOOO wanted to eat everything!!!! (minus everyone said they felt like poop after trying everything)
Yeah - healthy eating isn’t going so well over here. Anything sweet or greasy is gold. I’ve been living off BLT sandwiches. No adversions though

So when I was pregnant with DS I had a STRONG aversion to all meat. With both DDs I enjoy meat, specifically red meat... specifically beef in the form of steak or roasts. We're having prime rib for Christmas dinner and I'm about ready to buy an extra one and cook it early

@ladythrice I always assumed people over the age of 25 without kids (eg. Me) had no cereal or only a box or two, but I've ALWAYS loved it. It's just worse now that I'm KU lol
Yes to cereal cravings! Non pregnant I never ate any, but now its so good. At least I feel like its pretty healthy! Dairy and fiber, right? Also constantly want baked potatoes and anything with chocolate. It's been a struggle to get in the fruits and veggies.
I haven’t had any aversions since first tri, when pretty much everything except bread, cereal, fruit, and tomato soup (?) made me want to gag. Tomato soup was a really random first tri craving for me.
Now I can eat all the things I normally would (just hungrier than usual). The only craving I have had lately is Chipotle - I feel like I could eat that everyday, but I’ve been sticking to about once/week.
To everyone loving cereal, OMG me too. I normally eat cereal for breakfast but eat it out of a coffee mug to try to help portion control (and then semi-respectably drink the milk afterwards ) But lately my body has been like um, yeah, I’m going to need a whole, big bowl.

Re: What my pregnant self is eating these days....
but really, my go to items almost daily:
Breakfast: ezekial toast and egg
Snacks: apple every day, RX bars, berries and silk yogurt
Lunch: usually a salad, but a real big one!
No real cravings or aversions around here,

Craving mostly sweets, sometimes taco bell. Aversions to anything very acidic and all kinds of cheese.
