H: I wish I felt good enough to play in the snow with them Me: I know I should say "me too" but we both know that I hate snow and that would never be true
I love having all 4 seasons again and winter makes be appreciate the others but seriously, screw snow
@Mass-girl-at-heart Yes. I had to remind my kids the other day that Mom doesn’t love playing in the snow. I will go out for a very short time and get pictures, etc., but then I just go into party pooper mode so it’s better for all that I stay in. Ha!

Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I hate snow yet live in New England. I will go out for a short time but head in before I get too annoyed. I love the first snowfall but then I'm over it.
I HATE snow. I mean, I love it because it's beautiful. But any time someone suggest skating, skiing, sledding, snowball fights, building a snowman, etc. I'm like "OR...we could watch a movie and have hot chocolate?!"
DH fortunately loves outdoor activities, so he is 100% in charge of all outdoor related activities with DS. And I am 100% the mom inside taking pictures through the window. If I'm in a really good mood, I'll come outside to take the picture (or if my window is too dirty that day).
Thanks for the well wishes.. @DDRRT1982, @cford08, @justkeeptrying, @stlbuckeye132, @amylonghorn and @kalawa. It actually feels pretty decent today. I did just wake up so I haven’t been on it much. Minimal swelling, bruising has definitely spread but the pain isn’t as bad. It still hurts to put all my weight on it, but it’s tolerable. So I’m thinking it’s not broken just really bruised. I’ll put picture in spoiler.. it’s pretty gnarly looking.
@kalawa A 45 lb plate fell on it. I was at the gym about to do the leg press machine. I was transferring the plate from peg to peg on leg press.. I always pull it to the edge then grab the handle cut outs on it to take it off. I pulled it to bring to edge and was looking to the side and it just came off. I didn’t even have any type of reaction to move out of the way because I didn’t see it coming at all. In all my years of working out, I’ve never done anything like that. I’m just upset and hoping it doesn’t interfere with my workout routines for too long. I can’t imagine putting a tennis shoe on right now. Last night I couldn’t even stand the weight of the ice pack on top of it too long.
@npkat! Ouch!! That looks/sounds so painful. Did anyone at your gym come over to help after it happened? I’ve bruised my knee and my pinky toe really bad before-where I thought they were broken and it took awhile to heal. I hope you have no broken bones and you feel better quickly!

I posted an article from CTV news to my mom's facebook. The article stated how cold Florida is right now, and some places had snow. My parent's are in Florida, missing Christmas. I don't feel bad about the post.
@dani103 I’m in WNC and we got over a foot of snow!! It’s been a few days now and we still have a bit out there, plus most of it is ice now. This is my front yard! The snow wasn’t even done falling when I took this lol
The roads look terrible. I have chiropractor today otherwise I wouldn't leave my house. But I am so happy to see some more snow. It was creeping me out that I could still see grass in December.
We got about 3 inches in Atlanta! Now it's melting and I'm soooo sad. On a related note, if getting snow in early December is indicative of how our winter is going to go, I think I'm going to need to buy a maternity coat. My stepmom loaned me a jacket that's a swing style that will work, but it's not waterproof. I might wait a bit but it was frustrating realizing that none of my snow coats fit on Friday.
