Is anyone else's baby a little terrorist you have to negotiate with on a daily basis? It's like my organs are in a poor hostage situation and if I don't give baby G what she wants NOW.. it's the end of it.
Told my DH we are going to have our hands full with her. He said, "No we'll be fine. We have 4 hands."
I coughed so much and so hard I bruised my ribs and pulled muscles last weekend. It still is super painful. Baby had also decided it's a good place to tuck to make matters worse. DS has been a big help taking laundry to the basement and vacuuming since it hurts so much. Last night wasn't the first night I slept in my bed instead of on the couch sitting up.
oh no, I'm so sorry. I've been coughing for over a week and I'm sore, but not like that! The only things that remotely help are cough drops and honey in my tea, both of which I'm getting sick of. Have you seen a dr/where they able to help you?
@fatstagnation I got it from my nephew and he had went to the dr and they said there wasn't much they could do it just needed to run its course. I was living on cough drops and tea last week. I usually use honey or pineapple juice to stop coughing but with GD I can't.
@crossfitbabybump I liked the organic cotton ones, I hated any with that weird plastic feeling layer on top (not sure hoe else to describe it) it irritated the heck out of me!
@crossfitbabybump I used the overnights of what I knew I liked before pregnancy when the ones from the hospital ran out. They are the Always flex foam with cotton I think.
Watching Elf for the third time this season and drinking some hot cocoa. Life is good!
So my MIL stayed to watch DD today, even though DD was cleared to go to daycare (after being sick). But she totally told my FIL that we needed her again. DD still has a lingering cough and runny nose - so MIL offered to stay tomorrow too. I think she'd move in if we wanted...
Also, two weeks until winter break!

This is totally random and not pregnancy related: I told you about my cat last week and luckily we didn't have to make any major decisions about her yet but I need to think about pain management (13 y/o house cat with joint issues). I've started Cosequin for her joints but she will need more, I have the option of opioid based meds or testing a cannabis medication. They don't have much research with cannabis and cats so we would just be playing by ear. Has anyone used either of these for you pets? I don't think I want her all jacked up on opioids, I feel like there's no point because she wouldn't be the same cat anyway. Ugh, this would be so much easier if she could just talk to me!
Thanks for the sleep reassurance everyone! I really want nap time to stay a thing till the babies are born. Having twins, I feel like naptime will become (even more) sacred soooo I guess I won’t get too worried if he continues napping into 2018.
I can never for the life of me remember how to say gyro - I always end up questioning whether I’m right. Apparently jimmy Fallon and Luke Bryan made a skit about it - I laughed but was super cheesy.
Ok, so I need advice! My parents have generously offered to buy us a glider for our Christmas present this year. They apparently have a credit at Pottery Barn, so my stepmom told me to pick one and just let her know. I'm stuck between these two!
The wingback style (second link) reclines and glides but doesn't swivel, and the "comfort" one (first link) does all three. I sat in both today at PB Kids and they're both really comfortable. I'm slightly more inclined to the wingback one just from a style perspective, but I can't decide if I'd miss the swivel! Pregnant women should not have to make decisions lol
@bettyvonsomethingstein it seems like things really slowed down here after some people headed to Facebook and even when they came back, we just never picked up momentum? I also catch myself wondering where some people went...
I was just telling someone about how slow this board was and how it bummed me out. I remember the talk about the FB group but I thought we decided to wait a little while on that... guess not. Explains what's going though.
Also the formatting of this on my phone is sucking right now. Wtf !
@syssa-o I just want to say I'm super jealous of your kid's sleep schedule! Both my girls stopped napping around age 2.... I say let him nap as long as he wants a nap!
Right there with you. My now just turned 5 year old stopped napping around 2.5/3. I have friends who have 5 yr old that srill nap. That's insane to me!
@ksmwalters We have a glider that swivels (no recliner though - jealous!) and I don't think I'd miss it. I can't tell from the picture, but the wingback one seems like it has a higher back which could be more comfortable if you or your SO is taller.
@crossfitbabybump I'll add in a 3rd option. I ended up liking the Kotex brand that had a kind of cotton-y soft lining vs others I used that felt plastic-y. Once my stitches healed I didn't care as much though.

Ok I think y'all convinced me on the wingback. And I totally hadn't thought about DH @becausescience - he's 6'2" so I think he'd appreciate the additional height. Thank you!!!
@ksmwalters I have the first one and I love it. The swivel feature is nice for us because I use the glider in the family room where the tv is. So I use it to rotate between what I need to be focused on. I wanted a rocket/glider that could fit in with my regular furniture.
Happy Friday ladies! Man, y'all know how to turn a lull into a full-on party!! I couldn't Bump yesterday bc work was crazy and I lay down to catch up before bed and I couldn't even make it through all the posts!! I love this group - we may be small but we are mighty!! Hope everyone has a great day and can't wait to see everyone's FFFCs!!
BRB - going to check in on the Feb drive-by since I'm all caught up here!!
Sooooo somehow having a friend and her 2 kids over has turned into having 5 adults and 6 kids over. Looks like I have to put on real pants and go get some groceries.

I laughed in his face.
I have a question for STM but couldn't find the thread:
Best pads to buy to wear home from the hospital??
