GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition, and why?
Re: PGAL Check In - 12/4
Any appointments coming up? I have my normal OB appt on the 11th.
Questions? Not at the moment.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) Doing okay, just wish my diet was better. I just don't want the healthy food :-/
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition, and why? My favorite as a kid was we would go down to these two streets we called the "full streets" because every house would decorate with lights and they would have someone dressed as Santa and hand out candy canes. I don't currently have a favorite tradition.
I haven't been participating in this thread but I think I will start.
@sparklingdiamond I feel you on the healthy foods. I've been trying hard to eat good but throw a cookie in my face and I'll eat it.
How far along are you? 23 weeks!
Any appointments coming up? I have one after Christmas.
Questions? Nope
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I'm doing good but emotionally I could be doing better. I'm just afraid to do anything. I don't go on my walks anymore or workout. I was afraid to rake leaves this weekend because I keep thinking I'll do something that will cause something bad to happen. I know none of my losses where my fault but I just can't shake how I feel.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition, and why? As a kid I use to go to my grandmas for a day and make all the Christmas deserts. 5 different kinds of cookies, fudge, hard candy. You name it and we probably made it. Now I'm excited to start a baking tradition with my almost 3 year old. I think she will love decorating at least the sugar cookies this year!
@mispanda welcome to the thread! I understand your worries completely, as my exercise routine has been completely gutted by my loss fears too. I keep randomly bleeding, and that makes me take myself off of my usual routine for a week or so, and it's an endless miserable cycle. Hang in there, third tri is coming up on us fast!
Any appointments coming up?
A week from today is a general OB appt! I look forward to all of them.
Questions?
none that I can think of currently. I am sure eight questions will come to me when I am sound asleep at 2 am...

I am doing well. I am LOVING all of the kicks and movements. She seems to like when I eat, so I will definitely be keeping that going
I’m super stressed about something that happened today. My son and I took my husband to lunch. After dropping him off, we were driving on the expressway to go home, and I had a COMPLETE tire blowout. Complete with the works—horrific sound, burning rubber, sending black chunks everywhere, my entire car was smoking. And NOBODY WOULD LET ME PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.
I was absolutely terrified. And this is a tire I had replaced TWO WEEKS AGO. So that’s super stressful in itself. So the rest of my day has been an awful ordeal. I cried in my bathroom because I wanted to stay strong in front of my son.
Ok I am glad I got all of that out!
Favorite Christmas tradition:
My my favorite Christmas activity is the 25 Books of Christmas.
I bought 25 Children’s Christmas books (I switch some of them up each year). I wrap them up, and the kids take turns unwrapping one each night. We read them in our jammies while cuddling before bed. The kids LOVE it!
I really love your idea of wrapping 25 Xmas books and slowly opening them! I wish I could justify getting my kid more books, but then I would have to buy a house just for her books
@ngolimento I am a huuuuuge reader. We all are. We are always taking family trips to the library!
The quietest time ever recorded is the time between when we get in the car and whe when get home.
@sparklingdiamond Girl, I feel you on the diet. It seemed a lot easier to eat clean during my first pregnancy. With a toddler, I feel so scattered all the time and don't always stay on top of my food game. Don't feel bad! Just do what you can do.
Hey @mispanda! I'm sorry that you haven't been doing well emotionally. It's hard to fight that real fear with logic when it comes to worrying about doing something to cause another loss. I've definitely been there too. It's hard. Hang in there. Hugs.
@mikkimikey Aw, poor momma-- sorry you had to save the crying for the bathroom, but good that you could get it out. It's hard going through scary stuff and trying to stay strong in front of little eyes. What a bunch of jerks not letting you off the road! I hope today has been a better day.
Any appointments coming up? A/s tomorrow!
Questions? Nope
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
I'm just white knuckling it until our a/s tomorrow morning. I have had such a hard time accepting that everything is alright with this pregnancy- I can't tell if it's PGAL anxiety or intuition. I'm both terrified and excited for tomorrow. I'm hoping it goes well and I'll be happy to have that hurdle over with.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition, and why?
We are kind of bad about having fun traditions. DD will be 2 soon though, so I have a feeling that will change in the coming years. I guess making cookies every year is my favorite thing right now.
@kbamomma33 fx for a smooth a/s tomorrow!
22 weeks
Any appointments coming up?
Dec 8th!
Questions?
None

I am doing good! I still have anxiety being a FTM. Worried about possible issues that could happen! I am super excited to meet my son and enjoying all the movement he is doing
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition, and why?
Christmas is my favorite! I enjoy watching the children open gifts and be excited about Santa Clause and of course having Christmas breakfast!
