Re: LNCI Anyone?

  • @curiousfool1 I tried that yesterday and it worked well!

    @NYTino24 that’s a good idea! Thanks!

  • @cwalker042 there is a dockatot and there are basinets that attach to your bed
  • I can't tell if LO has reflux or a cold. When i Lay him down he coughs and seems to choke and he's sneezing. He gave me a scare all night. I had to clear his nose and ended up having him sleep on my chest. Still only get 2 hours at a time. I need to catch a break with him.
  • @MaximumEffort I was looking at the dockatot. It’s so expensive though. I may have to break down and fork over the money for my sanities sake.

    They have something like it at Target,  or there are those travel bassinets, or try a swap site
  • The cluster feeding hell is real. Even with pumped feeds. Just when you think they possibly couldn’t still be hungry since you can measure how much they are eating....they take a few more ounces

    and even more fun when he has been up the entire time since my last pump doing this and finally falls asleep when it’s tome to pump again.......

  • @MaximumEffort That is what my reflux is like... especially the coughing when laying down part. Can you put a wedge under his crib mattress? I lay at a 45 degree angle, propped up by pillows.

    @DungeonTrollMel Yeah, we did the whole cluster feeding thing two nights ago into yesterday. I had to pump and dump into his bottle frequently because nursing just wasn't doing the trick fast enough and my nipples were killing me! DH almost threw in the towel and slept in the guest bedroom last night, but I cried and he stayed with us. Luckily last night was a good sleep. Two suggestions: listen to Darius Rucker "It Won't Be Like This for Long" and download the Wonder Weeks App.

  • @NYTino24 I think I've decided it's a cold, at least for now. He has a runny nose which I suction and he hates. Last two nights he has slept on his belly on my chest with me at an incline. He seems a little better today, he's been asleep almost 2.5 hours in his carseat (my 6 week check up and errands). I had him in his rock and play which didn't help, he's not spitting up either.
  • My little guy cluster feeds just about every evening (meaning he eats every hour). I think it helps go 3 hour stretches overnight. Last night I fed him around 8:30, pumped around 10 and went to bed. Not sure what time DH gave the bottle but he slept til 3:30!!!! Which means I got about 5 hrs sleep. Most I've gotten in a loooong time.

    @NYTino24 thanks for the reminder on Wonder Weeks. I followed that with my first. I found it to be helpful. You can really appreciate what they are doing through. And OMG cue all the ugly cries for that song!!!
  • @mymulligan that's awesome you got 5 hours of sleep.  I'm so jealous.  I'm currently wide awake and miserable with a sore throat.  Little one is sleeping although she will be up shortly.  I have been so worried about my baby getting sick  that I hadn't even thought about me getting sick....
