Ps: For anyone going to look for the aforementioned thread, be aware that it gets kind of nasty and there's some bigoted responses. I did not read that before or I wouldn't have brought it up here. I don't find the situation (real or imagined) funny, but was musing on whether it was a classic baby board troll due to the timing and content of the posts. I just wish I had read it again before even referencing here. Ugh.
Totally random, but from time to time I check in on the April group since I kinda started out straddling between here and there. They seem to be a much more active board. What gives? Are we boring? Do they just like each other more than we do (haha)?

Thanks everyone for the replies on toddler transition. While I’d love to keep her in the nursery room in the crib (she doesn’t climb out or anything) so many people have recommended we do the move before the baby comes. Otherwise come...say end of April she’d get the boot so baby can move to the crib and I’ve heard that’s a battle of feeling replaced. I guess to each their own! Either way it’s going to suck. Rather fight it while I have the energy now vs with a 2 month old! Haha

I don't even mind/care that we are a smaller group. I do want to move to FB at some point and I would rather do it with a smaller group of people that have gotten to know each other well in lieu of a larger group of random people with scant participation. But it does seem like our regular base of people is dwindling, and the people who are here aren't posting much. I know holidays and all, but really, crickets.

I was just telling DH I’m kind of sad our board is so quiet. I was more of a lurker in my last BMB until I moved to FB, so I want to make friends in advance this time! I do think the premature FB jump hurt our activity a bit. Which was brought up and was said would not happen. Bummer! I guess those of us left will be extra close once we move?

It's definitely making me think that when the time comes I'd be more than likely to say, "Newp, you can't sit here," to randos wanting to join. If you don't find us interesting now, you don't get a closer looksie into our even-more-private lives.

Holiday traditions? Gift ideas for your SO? MOTHERFOFFER, we haven't done a December siggie challenge, right?
I'm terrible at GTKY posts... I included one in the FTM check-in for favorite holiday tradition, but I have zero other ideas. Maybe gift ideas for SO so I can steal someone else's since I have zero ideas in that department too! I haven't seen anything about siggies, and tbh I just don't care enough to learn how to add one. I do like seeing other people's though!

FYI... there have been a lot of alerts sent out that the flu vaccine is not optimal this year, so make sure you are doing lots of hand washing! And if you haven't gotten the flu shot yet, get it! It could shorten the duration and severity of the symptoms if you do end up coming down with the flu!
Alright I just read through a thread from August 2017 on baby center about an Andy and a Randy and I’m pretty sure I lost brain cells. If this was not the aforementioned thread, someone please PM me a link I promise, I can handle the awfulness. My curiosity NEEDS ANSWERS.
@slr1229 I'm in the same toddler transition, LO is 2, will be 2y4m when baby comes. His big boy room is almost done, will be done Jan 1st (my goal) but I'm dreading the transition soooo much, but also feel like I want him in there for the same reason you mentioned, I don't want him to feel kicked out of the nursery and don't want to deal with a newborn and big transition for him. I also want to get rid if the binkys (only has them for nap and sleep) so it just feels like a lot to do in a few months! It's making me anxious!!!
@BrittnieMariee I think we are in the midst of 2 year molars. I'm bringing him back to the doc office tomorrow even though we were there last week and they said just a cold, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything but he's sooo grumpy, cries for mommy if he's at daycare ( I left work early twice last week to get him) red cheeks, runny nose, so fussy, up early, hands in and around his mouth, I could go on and on but it's so miserable!
@bravoandprosecco omggg these molars are killing me! They’ve finally broken through the gums but still have to come all the way through. He’s been grumpy, not sleeping well, hardly eating, and had a runny nose for weeks now. So ready to be done!

I've landed on waiting a bit on the crib because baby will be in our room for a while and only switching her if she begins climbing out. Appreciated reading the responses here ladies!

I agree - and I'm sure the facebook move has something to do with it. I know I'll be more active come late January when my overload ends. (4.5 school weeks left!) But like you, I'm okay with a smaller group of people for the PG/FB move.
AFM: DD went to daycare today as her fever was like 99.5 - but she got sent home around 3 when it got to 101 and now can't go tomorrow. So, my MIL is driving 2.5 hours down to watch her so DH can go to work after being off Monday with DD. (I'm hoarding my sick leave - also sub plans are the worst.) Thank goodness she is retired.

I fell in love with a name today for this baby. I've suggested it to DH in the past and he vetoed it. Today he seemed more open but still not sold. Then he asked if I'd checked the meaning of the name. Which admittedly I hadn't. So I did. And it's PERFECT!!!!!!!!! And now my heart is even MORE set on it. And DH still isn't sold. Ugh. He has 16 weeks to get on board!
I'm in the FB group, too, but I'm not super active here or the FB group. I really try, but it's really hard for me to get into conversations on the internet. I guess I can be pretty awkward at first. It took me forever to become really comfortable with my June16 group, but now we are really close. Don't give up on me guys!
@bravoandprosecco and @BrittnieMariee 1st year molars sucked, but now we are getting canines. And he is acting more like a toddler at the same time. And being pregnant while this is happening. Ugh...
