My MIL insists on calling my son's underwear panties. DH and I absolutely hate it. I don't even like it for a girl. Also like a few people pointed out, I seriously thought you all just loved talking about lotion. I had read the first few posts but didn't have much to contribute. But dang!!! So much excitement! Also any FTMs, you never know how your body will react. You all can feel free to absolutely hate me, but I never had to have the uterus massage thing because mine was going down alright on it's own. I mean I guess they would check it but I didn't think it hurt at all. I usually just laughed because it would tickle more than anything. Also I didn't have hemorrhoids. But I did like the cooling feeling of the tucs pads on the stitches, especially when they started to itch. I did have to wear the mega pads for about a week or so but that's normal. I was just a very fortunate new momma that had no pain after labor. A little bit of a sting for a day or two when I would first sit down. But that was just a second or two. I never took so much as a Tylenol after birth. Just literally felt like birth was a physical reset for my body and felt great. I'm sure saying all of this means I will have an awful time after this baby. But I'd say be prepared for the worst because then you won't be so surprised if/when those symptoms happen. And definitely read about the things they don't tell you until afterwards! Like milk squirting everywhere...at least we both just laughed about it and had a towel handy!
Ok, I think everyone needs to take a deep breath here. Can we go back to if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything?
@laurentzfactor, I think you posed a valid question... You may have misread a post where they talked about the burts bees oil because they didnt specifically state "body oil", but just posted the name of the product.
Yes this is the internet, but if you're trying to be "funny" with snarky posts, just remember its hard to convey tone in a message board and you may be misunderstood as rude. Just think of all the companies that spend millions for advertising or send out tweets that get misconstrued - and they're paying money to have those created!
Getting back to the original question - I prefer coconut oil myself, but have heard about using vitamin e capsules for dry or irritated skin (my SIL swears by this for nipples when you're nursing as well - just poke a pin hole in the capsule and squeeze out the contents and massage it in). If you prefer, I'm assuming a cream or lotion with vitamin e would work as well or adding the capsule to a cream you already enjoy using!
I've had issue with the smell of some of the creams that are formulated for growing bellies - I think it may be the cocoa butter scent that bothers me the most... Even the fragrance free still have a smell!
Still experimenting myself, but I hope this helps!
@erin8marie did you literally just make an account to come in and judge us and tell us to be nicer, when you are the one reviving an argument that has been over for a week??
The absolute rudest thing that happens on this board is randos who revive zombie threads to tell everyone else they are rude. If any of these folks had lurked for even a second before posting they would have known their posts would have been greeted with nothing but snark. Lord I’m about to start saying some mean stuff just so the bump will kill this thread.
Probably if you put literally any unscented lotion or oil on your skin it will help with dryness and itchiness.
If your pal, whom you are so bravely standing up for, had a more specific question about the freaking Burt’s bees crap she should have been more specific.
Not like any randos will ever see this because they all ran off to baby center to dear diary about the rude b*tches on the bump.

OMG this thread. Suddenly seeing the appeal of adopting.
I seem to be alone in this board in not thinking the P word is that bad!

Also...wtf @erin8marie... the thread had well moved past the condescending tone you brought back. Thanks though
