@4deep wow! I didn't know that existed. Do you take your own blood??
Yeah, you prick your finger and fill a small vile. Bada bing bada boom. Craziness right?
  • Loading the player...

  • I was put on light bedrest today. I don't really have a babysitter so I re-downloaded YouTube kids and she hasn't moved in 2 hours. No regrets! I overdid it this past week and don't want to risk anything
Bed rest? I've been off since this morning, did you explain in another thread? Is everything ok?
  • I wish my DH were more organized. We don't have any kids (except for the one that I'm gestating at the moment, LOL), and I'm always the one who remembers all of our appointments, social obligations, etc. I don't want to be the one stuck doing every single doctor's appointment, etc., when the baby comes around, so I think that he and I will have a talk in the weeks ahead....
  • @sm05-2 I found an app thats called Cozi, it syncs your calendars. It also gives you a weekly agenda on Sundays. Put reminders, share grocery lists, to-do lists...you can even add others on it and they will get reminders if you need them to. It's free :) it's all through your email.
  • Oooh, I will check it out, @Duckie678!
  • @Crystal321 no shame! How long do you have to be on light rest? Hope not too long. I was on bedrest all first tri with DS hated it
  • So yeah, I clearly did not wait for the fries...ate healthy for the past few days and I've been working on invoices all morning so I thought WTH!

@hillbillywife I'm the same way.. Even with my mom.. She is a super clean/organized person so when she comes over I sometimes stress if the house isn't as clean as it could be! I think sometimes we are probably a lot harder on ourselves about stuff like that then what other people are though!
Omg this is so me too. My mom keeps her house immaculate. I suck at housekeeping. No matter how hard I try she usually finds something to comment on. My parents are coming tomorrow to stay with our little guy while we go away for the night and I need to clean and I’m sitting here on the couch watching 90 fiancé with zero energy.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @4deep i had red bleeding monday and today. They did an US both days but confirmed today that I have subchorionic hemorrhaging. It should work itself out, but they are having me stay on bed rest until then. Currently I take daily lovenox shots (blood thinner) and baby aspirin, so that might be escalating it some

Sounds like my DH! I carry the mental load of the family 100%, I don't mind it because he's got a horrible memory. I had to remind him to tell his father happy birthday this year! Good luck with that conversation!

I know exactly what you mean about the zero energy.. There has been so many days here lately where I come in and think "I really need to clean today".. Put a load of clothes on& then go take a nap! Lol... My mom isn't really one to comment to my face, but she was a stay at home mom who homeschooled me and my sister& like your mom had/has an immaculate house so I always feel like I'm not quit measuring up to that standard!
  • @mrsj1215 I think you’re right- they probably won’t  even think twice about being in my car. Lol.

@julesf817 I hear yah on the lack of motivation. I wanted to scrub all the carpets in my car cuz they’re nasty but DD wanted to help and I decided it was good enough lol
  • I think I've said this before but I still clean my cat box. Technically it's one that you don't have to touch the poop- but we've got two cats and one box, DH doing it once (maybe) a day doesn't cut it!
Be very careful and maybe invest in gloves. I know someone who was born with defects due to toxoplasmosis. She’s blind, has skin issues and has had a pain problem her whole life. Don’t mess around with those litter boxes. I also have two cats and an automatic litter box.... perhaps switching food or feeding a bit less would cause you not have to change it more than your husband doing it once a day? Don’t mean to be preachy but that’s one thing I don’t mess with!
  • @Crystal321 hope the rest calms down your bleeding! I’m sure that’s super scary!
  • @hillbillywife I'm sure they won't at all!
  • @celainev gloves and a mask! Also FYI it takes 24 hours for the litter to become infectious w/ toxo so it should be done at least once a day.
  • @sopranoali my H also coaches football- had been high school- this was his first year doing college. I joke that I am a single parent during football season.

BTW: are you on the M14 FB and I’m just not connecting names between the bump and here
  • Thanks, @acunamatada, I’ll need luck. No, but he’s a sweetie, and I’m sure he’ll try.

Ha, @sopranoali! My husband is really into fantasy football, and that’s when he gets most absent-minded. Football is fun, but there is life outside of it.
  • I am so glad other people here suck at housework!

  • Omg, I’m still learning the conversations on this group.  Should have saved my UO Depends purchase for today, much more of a confession.

I’m fully aware. That’s why I was curious as to why your DH doing it once a day isn’t enough?

My husband only has ever gone to our sons doc appointment if I couldn’t get off work. He doesn’t get PTO like I do. I prefer making the plans and handling our sons appointments, DH bless his heart, just never asks the right questions. I however tell him to make such and such a mental note so I can be reminded later, my memory sucks. Everything gets wrote down.

We have two sleeping beauties in heaven.

  • @ashbub714 I do the same thing.. i would never say "darling husband" or "darling daughter" unless I was oozing sarcasm, so I can't bring myself to type the abbreviations lol.
  • @acunamatada lol! Now reading your posts all I’ll see is “damn husband” when I read “DH”  :p:D

@acunamatada yeah it's also "dick head" for me to at times haha
    Mine is usually "douchebag husband".

  • @zombiehoohaa that’s what I think! It definitely won’t kill her.

@blair_krank ooh I’m sooo hungry for a sub. I haven’t had the opportunity to get one yet, but when I do I totally will.

    I have another confession.

Tomorrow I’m going to a craft show with my bff her mom, sister, gram, and her mom’s friend. They asked me to drive because I have the biggest car. I totally don’t mind driving but I’ve been cleaning my car out hardcore because I’m really worried that they’ll be judgey about it. It’s super old (‘01), ugly and used and it looks like it. And I have two little kids and we’re in the car a lot so it just doesn’t look very nice. I know realistically that they’re all nice people and wouldn’t say anything, but I struggle anyways.
@hillbillywife This is totally me with my house.  The amount of cleaning I do before guests is directly related to how judgemental they are!  Your folks may be different but I definitely have those people in my life that would judge hardcore if they saw our house on an average day.  Thing is....I could have a spotless house if I wanted to.  But I choose to relax after a long day, have random 30 min dance parties with the kiddo, etc.  I’m way happier than most people I know with spotless homes and lives.  #priorities
