R/R: It's Friday! And we are having our first holiday family gathering tomorrow which I'm looking forward to!
CS/Q: I finally turned an OPK yesterday!!! So here's hoping I see a temp rise tomorrow and it sticks!
GTKY: What does your holiday tradition look like? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you celebrate and how? We celebrate Christmas - we always open one gift on Christmas Eve and have a big party with our closest family friends when we go to my hometown for Christmas (which we do every other year). We put all our gifts out under the tree as they are wrapped, and then Santa brings any kids their one big gift from him and leaves it unwrapped for Christmas morning. He also fills everyone's stockings with wrapped gifts. We are allowed to open stockings as soon as we are awake and play with the gift from Santa but then have to wait for everyone else to wake up before doing any other presents. Christmas is my favourite holiday and I still wake up at like 5 am every Christmas morning so I can just sit and enjoy the magic.

GTKY: What does your holiday tradition look like? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you celebrate and how? Tradition depends on where we spend Christmas. We're going to the in-laws this year, so we'll be decorating the tree Christmas Eve (basically just FIL and I, no one else ever seems to help). Watch Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story the night before. Sleep late. Spend Christmas in our pajamas until about 3 pm, we put on real clothes (jeans!) for dinner. My MIL always wants to do stockings the next day! (i hate that) or at a bare minimum, at the end of the night instead of Christmas morning. We have to leave the day after Christmas, so there'll be no second-day stockings this year.
WAYDTGKU: Starting Clomid in 2 days (also bbt, pnv, opks, cm, and the basic hio)
R/R: I am so tired, I just want to go home and relax, but I've challenged my self to 5 workouts this week and I've only done 3, so I'm going to force myself to the gym after work. Rave: I only work a half day today, so at least I can get to the gym early.

Odd..... @elothair There is something about being awake and taking in everything on Christmas morning before it all starts that elicits all the feels (one way or the other). Yay for +opk
@elothair Yay for turning an opk! @catlady2015 Sorry for cd 1. *hugs* @Avrilmai Good for you for going to the gym! MH and I went last night, and it was tough to make ourselves go. It's one of the ones that tracks sleep, and I'm a bit appalled at how restless my sleep was last night! I apparently woke up 35 times during the night. Definitely going to bed earlier tonight!

GTKY: What does your holiday tradition look like? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you celebrate and how? We celebrate Christmas, but we're atheists, so there's no religious component to the celebration. This year it'll just be MH and I. Usually we open one small present each on Christmas eve, stockings first thing on Christmas morning, and then the rest of our presents. We're planning to cook a turkey on Christmas and eat tons of food.
@darkstar42 a friend gave me her fitbit last Saturday,(she stopped using it ages ago) it has been fascinating to watch the sleep and heart rate data and it definitely keeps me motivated. GTKY: We spend it with my family. Christmas eve is usually gingerbread house/cookie decorating. We each open one present that is an activity of some kind (games, puzzles, books). Then Christmas morning we open presents, taking a break halfway through for cinnamon rolls. H and I also wear matching PJs or outfits of some kind. Last year was Elf sweaters. This year it's green plaid onesies. We're cool like that. Then we spend Boxing Day at H's BFFs house. Their big group of friends all go over there for a potluck.
@elothair Yay for a positive OPK! Christmas is my favorite too. There's something magical about it.
@catlady2015 I like your breakfast style. Sorry for AF though.
@avrilmai Good for you for sticking to your challenge! That takes a lot of self-discipline.
@jrm_14@Avrilmai I got the alta hr! They had a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, so I splurged. It's been so long since I've worn a wristwatch that it's taking a bit to get used to! @jsnakehole Establishing new holiday traditions with a partner is lovely. I hope you two find some that you like!
@SkilledSailor My first night on letrozole was like that too! Hope your body adjusts quickly and you can sleep better tonight. I love that your Christmas eve gifts are activities! What a wonderful tradition. I'm happy to be fitbit friends! I've been awful about keeping up with myfitnesspal as well. I'll pm you my email address so you can add me on there.

@elothair Yay for turning an OPK! I also love getting up early
on Christmas and turning the tree on but leaving the rest of the lights off.
That’s my favorite.
@catlady2015 I was in a crappy mood this morning so I ate a

@avrilmai I’m impressed by your workout goal! I really need

@jrm_14 Ugh, what was with H’s yesterday? MH and I got into

roll for breakfast.
@CraftyG I love the idea of playing cards and just hanging
out on Christmas. That sounds fun and relaxing.
@darkstar42 I just started wearing my fitbit again this
week. I only have a basic one and I hate wearing it to sleep, but I love seeing
how many steps I get in. The Alta looks really cool and I want one, but can’t
justify it yet since I took a 6 month break from my regular one lol.
@jsnakehole New traditions are always fun. Hope the last few

do it the day after Thanksgiving, but we were out of town so I had to wait.
CS/Q: I just ordered OPKs off Amazon and they’re coming today. Probably a dumb
question, but do you prefer to pee on them directly or use a cup? And does it
matter?
GTKY: We usually go to DH’s grandparents in PA for Christmas Eve because they
have all the family over with a prime rib dinner and then gifts afterward. Then
on Christmas day we drive home (VA) and have Christmas dinner with my dad’s
side of the family. This year we’re not staying overnight in PA so we can spend
Christmas morning at our own house for the first time ever.
@melbel0824 Truthfully, it was me that escalated the argument with H. Yes, he was contributing and worsened it. I’m likely responsible for it, though, because my expectations weren’t met. @SkilledSailor yay for making money!!! He’s been relatively nice today. I’ve been cold. Activity gifts sound awesome! Great idea. @jsnakehole Do either of you have family traditions for the holidays you’ll honor? I am finding it difficult to make our own ANd balance former ones. I love the French Christmas!
@jrm_14 - My husband and I are in the same boat with needing to create our own new traditions. So far, the only one... we HAVEN'T decorated for Christmas the past 2 years. We just get too busy! I would like to bake cookies, and do stockings. That's a couple of things I did with my family when I was a kid.
@kimberbeep MH is so deeply rooted in his family traditions, he does not recognize the importance of starting our own. Drives me nuts (and hurts my feelings). Hopefully you will make time to decorate and/or do something else fun!
@avrilmai Don't be scared! It's annoying but not the worst side effects in the world. Plus, I tend to have trouble sleeping anyway so the littlest thing can effect that.
R/R: Next ultrasound tomorrow! FX for more follicles! Also these injections are starting to hurt. My stomach is so sensitive and tender from all the needle pokes.

@catlady2015 Boo for day 1. But hooray for breakfast of champions! @Avrilmai Good for you for setting a gym goal and sticking to it - I need to get my butt in gear again but it's so hard to find time! @jrm_14 Sorry about the fight - did you make up for it already? @CraftyG I hate having to use public transit for that very reason! I have places to be - stay on your schedule!! @darkstar42 I totally feel like the double digits for cycles is scary - I'll be there next month if it doesn't happen this cycle and something about it is definitely a mental block for me. I love love love my fitbit - and yes, I get the worst sleep ever and it just confirms that! @jsnakehole Woohoo for almost positive OPKs! Good timing with your weekend retreat with DH! @SkilledSailor I love that you guys wear matching christmas outfits, that's amazing!! I hope your sleep tonight is better!! @JTroyna Finding out the details of what your body is doing from cycle to cycle is so interesting (For me at least) - will definitely be useful when you start actively trying! @melbel0824 Yes, the tree lights are so calming and magical on Christmas morning! I have the cheapie OPKs from Amazon and I have to use a cup - peeing right on them wouldn't work. I think it depends what kind you get though - hopefully the instructions for them are clear and tell you what the best way to do it is! @kiwi2628 FX so hard for tomorrow! I'm sorry about the needles - hopefully they will be worth it this cycle!!
@kimberbeep Responding to your post in yesterday's thread - yes, birthdays near holidays I do think often get at least sort of lumped in with whatever holiday they align with. **TW - Kids: My DS's birthday is on Valentine's Day so I screwed both my kids over with holiday birthdays. I totally feel like once he has a SO it will suck because he'll be getting them a gift on his birthday! End TW**
R/R: Put in application to adopt a shelter puppy not sure if we`ll get it lots of people were applying fingers crossed.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What does your holiday tradition look like? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you celebrate and how? When we visit the in-laws we have a big dinner and celebrate but at home it`s just another day for us.
@elothair Woohoo for a positive OPK! @catlady2015 Boo for CD1. Love the cupcake for breakfast! @Avrilmai Good for you for hitting the gym! I plan to go tonight as well but my motivation always leaves once i get home @CraftyG An hour to wait in the cold is a terrible way to start your day.. I hope it got better! @darkstar42 I love my fitbit! Youll learn alot about your habits when you wear it everyday. I am also shocked at my sleep ugh @JTroyna Welcome! @kiwi2628 So sorry about your sensitive stomach, fx for tomorrow! @Stargazer1lily fx for your application for the pup! CS/Q: Do you see a temp spike/decrease if you havent slept well the night before? Our cat has been a jackass lately and wakes me up several times in the night and I got out of bed about an hour before I temped.
GTKY: What does your holiday tradition look like? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you celebrate and how? We do celebrate Christmas. Christmas eve is with my family, we wear matching PJs and eat and drink alot. Christmas day we go to DHs parents house for a large meal with about 25 people so it is more formal.

gtky: Lots of family gatherings during Christmas week. We usually go to a Christmas Eve service (candlelight one is my fave). We have a tradition of opening one small gift that Night. The next morning we have a family brunch—I usually make homemade cinnamon rolls a day or two before—then we open gifts all together.
@melbel0824 For most opks you should use a cup, but check
the directions for the ones you bought.
@Avrilmai I’m not sure what @SkilledSailor experienced, but
for my first night on letrozole I just had a few mild hot flashes. Nothing
terrible at all. In case it has the same effect this time around I’ll keep a
lighter weight comforter on my side of the bed to pull on if I need it. I’m a
pretty light sleeper as well, so my sleep gets easily disturbed!
@kiwi2628 Keeping my fx for your ultrasound tomorrow! I’ll
be checking to see your report.
@elothair Yeah, the double digits just feels like yet
another crappy milestone. Fx this is your month and you don’t have to worry
about that!
@Stargazer1lily Ooh, what kind of puppy? Fx that you get it!
@kobrien827 I definitely see a temp increase if I’ve slept
particularly poorly, and especially if I got out of bed within a few hours
before temping.
@dukestar5 Yay for a new dress! Pics when you’re not on
mobile?
AFM, I totally panicked because the FedEx tracking info for
my drugs said they had been left on the front porch, but they weren’t there.
Took me about 10 minutes to think to check the back porch, and there they were.
My baseline u/s went fine today, and I’m ready to start the letrozole tonight. For
whatever reason my antral follicle count today was nearly double what it was
last month, so that was odd but shouldn’t affect the IUI one way or the other.

R/R: Rant: MH and I got in a fight last night/this morning, but we seem to have worked it out now. Rave: I’m decorating for Christmas this weekend! Usually I do it the day after Thanksgiving, but we were out of town so I had to wait.
CS/Q: I just ordered OPKs off Amazon and they’re coming today. Probably a dumb question, but do you prefer to pee on them directly or use a cup? And does it matter?
GTKY: We usually go to DH’s grandparents in PA for Christmas Eve because they have all the family over with a prime rib dinner and then gifts afterward. Then on Christmas day we drive home (VA) and have Christmas dinner with my dad’s side of the family. This year we’re not staying overnight in PA so we can spend Christmas morning at our own house for the first time ever.

R/R: Next ultrasound tomorrow! FX for more follicles! Also these injections are starting to hurt. My stomach is so sensitive and tender from all the needle pokes.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What does your holiday tradition look like? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you celebrate and how?
Too much to get into at work today!

@catlady2015 Boo for CD1. Love the cupcake for breakfast!
@Avrilmai Good for you for hitting the gym! I plan to go tonight as well but my motivation always leaves once i get home
@CraftyG An hour to wait in the cold is a terrible way to start your day.. I hope it got better!
@darkstar42 I love my fitbit! Youll learn alot about your habits when you wear it everyday. I am also shocked at my sleep ugh
@JTroyna Welcome!
@kiwi2628 So sorry about your sensitive stomach, fx for tomorrow!
@Stargazer1lily fx for your application for the pup! We just adopted a dog and couldnt be happier.

R/R: Rave: Its Friday! Normally I work Saturdays but off tomorrow, yay! Sunday I am going to see the special screening of Titanic in the theater with my mom. Rant: DH works all weekend
Christmas day we go to DHs parents house for a large meal with about 25 people so it is more formal.

waydtgku: PNVs, drinking lots of water, also trying grapefruit juice, opks, sending inappropriate emojis to MH hoping we will hang out tonight
r/r: (rave): I never made it to yoga last night, but my sweet MIL took me shopping and I got a pretty holiday dress and some new make-up. I’m resolving to go to yoga next week for sure!
Cs/q: Has anyone ever done a fertility massage? What was it like?
gtky: Lots of family gatherings during Christmas week. We usually go to a Christmas Eve service (candlelight one is my fave). We have a tradition of opening one small gift that Night. The next morning we have a family brunch—I usually make homemade cinnamon rolls a day or two before—then we open gifts all together.
@JTroyna Welcome!
@melbel0824 For most opks you should use a cup, but check the directions for the ones you bought.
@Avrilmai I’m not sure what @SkilledSailor experienced, but for my first night on letrozole I just had a few mild hot flashes. Nothing terrible at all. In case it has the same effect this time around I’ll keep a lighter weight comforter on my side of the bed to pull on if I need it. I’m a pretty light sleeper as well, so my sleep gets easily disturbed!
@kiwi2628 Keeping my fx for your ultrasound tomorrow! I’ll be checking to see your report.
@elothair Yeah, the double digits just feels like yet another crappy milestone. Fx this is your month and you don’t have to worry about that!
@Stargazer1lily Ooh, what kind of puppy? Fx that you get it!
@kobrien827 I definitely see a temp increase if I’ve slept particularly poorly, and especially if I got out of bed within a few hours before temping.
@dukestar5 Yay for a new dress! Pics when you’re not on mobile?
AFM, I totally panicked because the FedEx tracking info for my drugs said they had been left on the front porch, but they weren’t there. Took me about 10 minutes to think to check the back porch, and there they were. My baseline u/s went fine today, and I’m ready to start the letrozole tonight. For whatever reason my antral follicle count today was nearly double what it was last month, so that was odd but shouldn’t affect the IUI one way or the other.
