AFM- was super dizzy all day and exhausted. Not a fun day. Maybe did too much the past couple days with shopping, cleaning and cooking.

@Holls214 ur a rockstar, keeping food down is my big accomplishment for the day! TMI I can't even tell u how my constipation killed me last night!! Didn't get to seep till 6am. I was going to ask if anyone did any good shopping, u actually went out!! I'm lucky if I found anything online! I looked for some maternity jeans.

@Hopeful_mom I actually bought my maternity jeans at Old Navy. I think if I just have one pair that will last me. Since I need more work appropriate attire Mon-Thurs! I can wear the same pair of jeans every Friday then.

I know some of you are talking about nausea, I didn't scroll through this entire post so maybe someone already mentioned this. I was super sick in my first trimester and still have those days even at 18 weeks. I got prescribed diclegis and it has been a life saver. Also taking ranitidine for acid as I think a lot of my problems with nausea was due to reflex. I would as your doctor about these and see if it's an option as it's really helped me!!

@meredithj123 thank you! I’m actually at the nurse station now to get an IV of fluids since I threw up over 30 times yesterday... I’ll be discussing it with them. Can’t take it anymore.
@BusinessWife thinking about you. Hoping the number keeps progressing.

@BusinessWife keeping everything crossed for you. I actually saw a ted talk on YouTube from a lady whose first beta was 12 and ended up having a healthy baby boy! Miracles do happen but either way don’t be too hard on yourself! We are rooting for you.

@Holls214 that sounds terrible. Have you asked the doctor about Zofran (Ondansetron)? I’m a pharmacist and that drug is safe and does work.

@hopefulmom how are you doing? Have you had anymore OB visits yet?

AFM: I have mild nausea - usually in the AM and if I let myself get too hungry but it’s the exhaustion that’s kicking my butt! Can barely stay up till 8 to do my PIO. Also I am literally eating non-stop. Next RE visit on Fri - not sure if they’re releasing me this week or keeping me for one more week. Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving!

@rainbows2018 so thrilled you don't have nausea too badly. I agree about the exhaustion. It is a struggle. Then some nights even though you are exhausted insomnia kicks in, which sucks. They will probably release you, I would assume. I actually never went back to my RE as we were all out of pocket and had already spent $20k+ this year. I wanted my insurance to start covering everything....

@Holls214 Oh yeah, I was so ready for insurance to cover some medical expenses for once!

AFM (I posed this in the 2nd tri thread) I got a call from the OB clinic today about my NIPT results. Short refresher, I had my 16 week AFP screen come positive for downs (1:225, supposed to be 1:500ish). So they called me back in for a blood draw for the NIPT. The NIPT was negative, so I'm in the clear!! (celebrates) Aaaaand, it's a boy!

@helloworld9 woooohooooo that's the best news!!! So they didn't do these tests at your 12w check up?? All these different tests are very confusing! It's funny being a newbie at a part in the process. Yay on ur Lil prince! I'm so happy for u!!

@Hopeful_mom My OB said she thought I was "low risk" so didn't do any tests at 12 weeks. I'm like hmm okay. But then at my 16 week appointment she was like if you wanted to do AFP or not, and I was like oh sure (not thinking much of it). I feel like the NIPT is not considered a "must do" test if she didn't recommend it to me sooner. She only brought it up if I wanted to know the sex early. I forget, do you know the sex of your little peanut?

Yes the meds are working wonderful so far. No more nausea and vomiting. Fingers crossed! I agree all these test are confusing and everyone gets things done at different times. Need to do more research.

@Holls214 I know, what a relief! I kind of secretly wanted a boy, since we have four blasts frozen and one is a boy, so in my mind I was like, we only have one shot at a boy. But now this miraculous free baby came along and here I am!

AFM, I've been so busy at work, don't have a moment to even open this board. Glad I did, though! So nice to see everyone's updates. I had my u/s today - 3 weeks after stopping PIO and estrogen. It was tough not knowing and worrying if the babe had enough from placenta. I stopped everything at 10weeks, which seemed early (but my butt thanked me). Little guy is doing great! Heartbeat 158bpm, and measures a few days ahead of schedule! it took a while to convince the baby to roll a bit to get the profile shot, but he was very active otherwise - so weird to see this independent life being inside me! I'm so relieved

My husband went ahead and told a few of his students at work, and I shared with a couple of co-workers. I also told parents they can go ahead and tell grandma (she's old and emotional, so I wanted to wait till this appointment to share with her). We're now planning some nice Christmas-themed reveal picture to share with the rest of the friends/distant relatives over the holidays

I bet you are so happy to be done with progesterone. I only have a couple more days! Yay! That happened to me at my last ultrasound too. Crazy how much they move around. Share your pictures. Can’t wait to see holiday themed ones. We got ours done and are just about to send them out to extended family. Is this your first?

Hello, newbie here! Everyone seems very positive and supportive here.

1. How far along are you? 7w6d
What is your EDD? July 15
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?

Breast tenderness since 3.5/4weeks. I had an anxiety attack in the middle of the night last night because I woke up and they didn't hurt anymore, then I finally calmed down after I realized as long as there's no bleeding, we'll be okay.

MS started on Thanksgiving but it went away after a week, mostly dry heaving

Constipation/bloating

3. When is your next appointment?
Ob nurse appt next Wednesday. My first ultrasound was last Tuesday to hear the heartbeat!
4. Anything else you'd like to share?

I have PCOS, this was our 6th IUI, and this is my very 1st pregnancy. DH and I are both 35+. Sometimes this still doesn't feel real and I wish I could hear the heartbeat every day.

@jr102217 welcome and congrats how exciting especially that An iui worked that's awesome. I have to say I was nervous in the beginning when my boobs werent sore anymore and many women told me that it comes and goes and not to worry so I shall say the same to you! You're lucky if the nausea hasn't somebody kicked in because then you really forget about your boobs!!

The nurses and drs were just too unsure

WTH how much easier can I take it

Yay me. Obviously praying it's not just hoping I'm far enough along and it won't effect my nugget!!!

AFM, does 13.5w count at second trimester? i don't know what's the official number. I'm still waiting for the bump to pop out - I can feel it, but it's not obviously visible yet. I started getting restless legs (possible because I'm so damn exhausted and don't really exercise anymore). I sleep 10-11 hours each night, and still turn into pumpkin early afternoon. Boobs are getting even more sore, but the nausea is definitely reducing - yay! The appetite isn't here yet, still - i'm about 5lb below my pre-pregnancy weight. Very picky about my food right now - more aversions than cravings.
I'm getting used to the idea of only seeing my doctor once every 3-4 weeks, and apparently next appointment I don't even get the u/s, just a heartbeat. I guess stopping PIO was the scariest part, and now that it was confirmed that all was good 3 weeks later, I feel more at peace, and starting to believe in my body and in the process.
Also, this is the first year hubby and I are having a real Christmas tree (we want to start doing more family traditions), and I got this awesome ornament:

@FuzzyDust I think 13 and a third is the start of the second trimester? It seems odd to me that the second trimester is considered 14-28. That's longer than the first or third trimesters by a week! It's like 13 weeks, then 14 weeks, then 13 weeks. It would be 13 1/3, then 26 2/3. Anyway... very cute ornament! And I understand how frustrating it is to not have an ultrasound at week 16. They just did a doppler for me. Boo.

Nausea is still outta control for

Dr thought shingles but wanted the dermatologist to confirm. Well Dermatologist says it's shingles , he sent the test out but he said even if the test is negative he still says it's shingles. They're not blisters yet so there wasn't much puss to get. It's very early stages and a mild case hopefully. Just nervous for the next steps.

Dr gave me antibiotics and he and OB say it's ok to take it as it's on the list B for meds that are ok but of course I'm worried.

Called the high risk dr to discuss next with her. I'm so angry that this has happened!! Just praying this won't hurt the baby!!

it would've been better if I was farther along like 20 weeks, I'm 13weeks 6days so just have to pray things will be ok!!

@FuzzyDust love the ornament very cute!! Onthis board 2nd trimester is 14w which I am tomorrow woohoo!!! Since I'm a mess I have a feeling I'll be getting more ultrasounds than not. And at week16 are there more tests that have to be done where they see the baby ?

Cutest ornament ever! Where did you find that?! I need one... I’m 13 weeks tomorrow. We are all so close. Appetite has been way more since the nausea meds have been working. I can see a little bump which is crazy maybe more of a food fat bump.
Sorry to hear about the shingles argh. Hoping your doing okay and that the meds will help. Any big Christmas plans ladies?!

So the good news is all my dr say it should be fine for baby and just sux for me, which it does. It's first going to get worse before gets better, so now at night I have this keeping me up as I can't get comfortable and it hurts along with the nausea!! I know I should try the new meds for the nausea but now that I'm taking this also I think I've still will just try and wait it out and hope it will subside soon.
no big holiday plans for me especially since Im really homeward bound at this point.
