R/R:
One week down, one week to go! MH is overly
hopeful for this cycle, so this is a challenging TWW! I have a busy day of
meetings today and classes tomorrow, so I'm hoping I can still get some grading
done and be able to just relax all weekend. Looking forward to the food and
going to see Justice League with MH. I might be coming down with a cold, but
I'm hoping to fight it off.
CS/Q: It's a chart! Nothing exciting happening.
GTKY: What's your ideal hairstyle? (Pic or GIF if possible) Robin Wright's hairstyle from House of Cards (except brunette). I'm working on it! I have short hair and I'm growing out my bangs.
R/R: This is my last day of the work week as well! I can't wait to start making pies for Thanksgiving. I really want to make peach cobbler but I have never made one with canned peaches. Will it still taste yummy?
CS/Q: None
GTKY: What's your ideal hairstyle? (Pic or GIF if possible) I've been slowing going blonder every hair appointment but I feel like I will never get to the ash blonde I lust after.

@darkstar42 I'm optimistic with your H. FX this is your last TWW!
@princesslockness Yay for no more work for the week! Are you traveling for the holiday?
@eleven_ Mm peach cobbler. I've never made one with canned peaches either but I'd assume it'd still be good. I mean, I've never had a bad peach cobbler.
@eleven_ I honestly found this on Pinterest. Who is it? I love good IG feeds. No, I couldn’t get this color on my own. I have an amazing hair stylist who does it every 5-6 weeks.
@SkilledSailor Her IG is emilyrosehannon. All of her braids and outfits are so dreamy. I wish I could have her hair. I cannot get the brassy tones out of mine and it's really frustrating and expensive!

@eleven_ Totally just stalked her page. It seems like she tags a hair extension brand in most of her amazing braid posts so I feel better about myself, haha. Are the purple shampoos and conditioners not helping with the brassiness?
@catlady2015 Haha why are the days so hard to remember?!
@eleven_ Absolutely! That's the only thing I'm "allowed" to wash my hair in currently (it's dyed silver). If it's the only thing you use, it'll help. I can't say how much though. My hair likes really dark purple conditioner and it sits for 5-10 minutes but others get away with a lighter version.
@SkilledSailor I don't think I've been leaving it on long enough. I usually just rinse it right out. Now I'm dying to leave work and go wash my hair! Thank you

@blackhottamales Good call on having a thread for the week instead of daily since it's been quiet. I imagine it'll be pretty quiet with Thanksgiving coming up, too! @darkstar42 Glad to find someone else with short hair! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one! Mine isn't as short as yours though. R/R: Terrrrrrrible day at work today, but eating chocolate to help me feel better. Going to bed soon because of jet lag! Yeesh! Rave: I didn't start my period yet which means my LP this cycle was at least 10 days!!! My last 4 or so cycles it's been 9 days, so glad to see it getting a teensy bit longer.
GTKY: I have an A-line cut kind of like this one. My hair is naturally wavy, so sometimes I can let it air dry and it looks nice like in the pictures, but other times I have to straighten it. The only picture I could find that I liked is huge and I can't resize it in the code like usual, so it's in a spoiler. Sometimes I try a new hairstyle for something different, but I always come back to this style because it just works with my face shape and I love it!
@offtoneverland Love the haircut! I always find that when my hair is long I just put it up in a ponytail and don't style it, but I'm forced to do a bit more when it's short. I'm desperately in need of a cut right now (going next week), so it's a bit shaggy and weird at the moment.
started this thread yesterday and the work got crazy and had to get ready to fly for the holidays. But now I’m at the airport after 3 lovely hours of sleep. Also I’m mobile bumping so sorry every thing is in bold.
@catlady2015@blackhottamales Does your hair curl/wave well? I love those styles but it ends up being so much work for me to get my hair to look good when it's short.
@SkilledSailor - i do actually have some natural wave to my hair, which helps a lot. I can get them to turn out easily IF I put product in to keep the curls (which if i'm lucky, stay for 12 hours), blow dry AND spray. If I don't, it disintegrates by afternoon to a few crazy waves and the rest of my hair's pretty straight. Just enough curl to look like I started with a curling iron and forgot to finish. My hairdresser put a TON of layers in my hair which helps the natural wave look presentable. is your hair super straight and doesn't like to curl?
@catlady2015 Yes I'll never forget spending 1.5 hours getting my hair curled for prom and by the time I got there it just had a slight flip at the ends. It's naturally super straight. I can get some minor waves if I braid it wet and let it dry like that for nearly 24 hours, haha.
@SkilledSailor My hair is the same! The hair stylist tried to curl it for my best friend's wedding, and within an hour there was just a slight flip at the ends. Sigh. I've given up on ever curling it at this point.
@darkstar42 That must be hard for YH to be super optimistic. I am dealing with the opposite, I was excited about our timing this cycle and DH was like "well its still only an 18% chance..." FX for you that YH is on to something!
@eleven_ I never feel as blonde as I want to be either. I go back and forth on being more pushy with my colorist about it, but I usually don't force it because I trust her and I am not sure the platinum blonde I would like would go over so well at my law firm. But I can dream!
@kiwi2628 Sorry the estrogen is making you nauseous, I hope that subsides soon and you are able to enjoy food again.
@catlady2015 I love Ashley Benson. I am/was a closet PLL fan despite feeling wayyyy too old to watch.
@SkilledSailor I want to see the new barstools! I love the gray blonde. I also strictly use purple shampoo and conditioner even though DH hates that it gets all over our bathtub unless I am super diligent about wiping it up every time I shower.
@offtoneverland Yay for the longer LP, I hope the chocolate did the trick after the bad work day. AFM, I am jumping in even though I won't get my CH until tomorrow, temps up yesterday and today so 95% sure Monday was O day.

GTKY: What's your ideal hairstyle? (Pic or GIF if possible) one that requires very little time/energy for up keep. The most effort I put in is a flat iron if absolutely necessary. If I'm in a hurry I'll blow dry, but that doesn't happy very often. I have naturally wavy hair, so doing nothing is usually the best thing.
@legallykate so O+2 isn't in the FW, actually the +1 timing is not really going to get you KU either, it is more for safety sake, in case your O day is off or your CH move. @offtoneverland sounds like we have the same kind of hair, hope you're able to get some rest @SkilledSailor I pretty much have to pull out the FF everyday to see the cd/dpo. Glad to hear your bar stools came in that's exciting. @darkstar42 were you able to get the work done? I'm hoping you get to enjoy your holiday! @eleven_ what kind of pies, other than the peach, are you making? I considered making a pie for our work party today, but then realized I don't know how to make a pie, so I just bought 2 instead.

@legallykate I just looked it up. 50 dollars each seems a little pricey! Does it leave your hair feeling dry? I bought the cheap Clairol purple shampoo/conditioner and I hate using it because my hair feels so much softer with my regular shampoo/conditioner.

@Avrilmai If I O'd yesterday the O+2 will be a throwaway, but since FF hasn't confirmed O yet and still thinks I am fertile I figure I should play it safe despite the two high temps. I am the same with low hair maintenance, I use my blow dryer maybe 4 times a year.
@eleven_ They are pricey but last me 6+ months (I only wash/condition 3x a week). I haven't noticed that my hair feels any drier.

@legallykate. Not to be whatever about it, but that's why we consider ourselves in WTO until +3 / FF assigns crosshairs. The three elevated temps are what constitute the temp <i>SHIFT</i>, and hence, *transition* over to TWW.

@eleven_ I use shimmer lights purple shampoo on my blonde and it works miracles. If you have a Sally's by you, they have it there. My sister is a hair dresser and she always tells me I can slather it on my dry hair if I wanted to. I don't usually though. Instead I wash my face first thing in the shower and how ever wet my hair is, I throw it on and after I shave my legs rinse it out. My hair never looks brassy or dry. I swear by this shampoo. As far as Conditioner goes I use a basic loreal for color treated hair conditioner. For a detangler after shower- you can put a Couple drops of conditioner in a spray bottle with water and spray that through your hair. I personally have a stock of Johnson and Johnson detangler. My sister hates on me all the time for using it but I have zero patience for hair maintenence. I just need it to be effective and quick.
@galactickates Thank you for the info! I dont think I've been leaving the purple shampoo on long enough. I usually just rinse it right out. That is genius about the conditioner in the spray bottle. I'm definitely going to try this!

R/R: Last work day of the week and getting my hair colored at 5 today so leaving early. The office is sooo empty. DH is slow cooking chili today so dinner will be ready when I get home from my hair appt. No rants!
CS/Q: Not pretty due to eye infection earlier in the month and some wine-y nights but functional.
GTKY: What's your ideal hairstyle? (Pic or GIF if possible) My hair is super long right now (extensions) but I constantly want to chop it off and do this:

GTKY: What's your ideal hairstyle? (Pic or GIF if possible) one that requires very little time/energy for up keep. The most effort I put in is a flat iron if absolutely necessary. If I'm in a hurry I'll blow dry, but that doesn't happy very often. I have naturally wavy hair, so doing nothing is usually the best thing.
@legallykate so O+2 isn't in the FW, actually the +1 timing is not really going to get you KU either, it is more for safety sake, in case your O day is off or your CH move.
@offtoneverland sounds like we have the same kind of hair, hope you're able to get some rest
@SkilledSailor I pretty much have to pull out the FF everyday to see the cd/dpo.

@eleven_ They are pricey but last me 6+ months (I only wash/condition 3x a week). I haven't noticed that my hair feels any drier.

@avrilmai Hope you're enjoying your time off today!
@SkilledSailor Love the barstools. You definitely have the stamp of approval from your cat
