Any thoughts about this cycle? I hate this limbo time in the TWW. Waiting to test, but there isn't anything you can do . . . ugh its such a mindf*ck.

Any questions? Would everyone be ok if we instituted a BFP area for those who were TFAS, on this thread? I know we had several that just ghosted and moved to their BMB because they were only 1/1 or 2/2 or had just started to post regularly.

GTKY: What would you sing a Karaoke Night? Dixie Chicks. I love their traveling soldier song, and most of their 90's music.

Any thoughts about this cycle? FX I ovulate tomorrow. That’s when I ovulated pre-pregnancy. I’m still kind of nervous BFing may make me annovulatory or shorten my LP, but I know I shouldn’t borrow trouble. I was afraid my cycle would never return, but it did.

Any questions? Is there a special trick for anchoring furniture? We have a million different types of anchors from IKEA and I want to make sure I do it right. I’ll Google, but if anyone knows any resources or tricks I’d be happy to hear them. Really I’d rather DH just do it, but he’s suffering from a man cold....

GTKY: What would you sing a Karaoke Night? I usually sing Pat Benatar. Hit Me With Your Best Shot is my go-to Karaoke song.

Hi, I just posted in WTO for the first time. Should I only be replying here or there? Or is it okay if I do both?

Ages of other child(ren)? I have a 2 and 3 year old.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I had my Mirena IUD removed in July and we've been trying since then. Last month was my first 28 day cycle so I'm hoping that means something? Probably not.

Any questions? Not yet. I am going to start doing the whole temp thing/charting if I don't have a positive this time around. I might have questions then!

GTKY: What would you sing a Karaoke Night? My god, this is my nightmare. If I had a gun to my head I would probably sing something by Fleetwood Mac.

@lalala2004 We've used both the straps and the L shaped anchor and I like the straps. I like that the furniture still moves a little so you can clean under it easier. We just put it on middle part of the furniture and attach it to the wall.

@princesslockness - I would definitely be ok with a BFP area. I stalk the BMB but it's nice to get to say a proper goodbye even if people are only here a month or two!

@lalala2004 I agree about the L shaped bracket but make sure you use drywall anchors if it's not into a stud.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just hoping this is the one (As always!) And also debating at what point I should either talk with my doctor about a referral to an RE or just accept it's not meant to be and be happy with the 2 we have (which is DH's thought if it doesn't happen naturally).

GTKY: What would you sing a Karaoke Night? Either 'I will survive' or 'I will always love you' - or perhaps both depending how much I've had to drink. If I've had lots to drink then it might switch to 'Strokin' by Clarence Carter.

@elothair I know you've been trying longer than me but does anyone ever say that you just need to be patient? And since you already have kids, there is absolutely no reason to worry? I just hate hearing that all the time. Yes, I have 2 kids but this doesn't mean I'm 100% in the clear to get pregnant again.

@princesslockness. I would be ok with it...I just don’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

@eleven_ It’s up to you! I say post in both places if you have the time/energy to do so. I post mostly in the dailies, but it is nice to post here too because we can relate to what others are experiencing trying to add to our families.
@elothair. We are in a similar situation. My ob/gyn gave me a referral to an RE if we wanted to move in that direction, but MH says we will not do something more intensive/costly and if it is meant to be, it will happen. My ob/gyn is open to doing a monitored, medicated cycle (without anything else) so that’s what we are considering.

I just did CD3 blood work today, so hopefully that will shed light on any issues. All of our other pregnancies happened very quickly, so this is all new territory for me. I’m guessing AMA is playing a big role.

Questions?
Has anyone here done a medicated cycle? Any noticeable side effects of the medications?

@eleven_ I try to post both places. Yes people will always have some sort of advice. Not many people know about IF, and the number that know about secondary IF is even smaller, so I just take it all with a grain of salt. They probably just feel like they have to say something.

@eleven_ We haven’t told many people we are even TTC because everyone assumes we are done because we have one boy and one girl. The only people that know are my mom and best friend. They both definitely say to be patient but they do it in a way that makes me feel like they understand (and I know they do because of their own histories with pregnancy/loss) so I don’t mind it. And with my other two I did get pregnant right away so this has definitely been eye opening for me that it isn’t a guarantee and not something to take for granted.

@dukestar5 It never really even occurred to me until the last few months that it may not happen on its own and we might have to explore other options but as I approach the 12 months of trying mark with no success it’s definitely on my mind. DH definitely isn’t on board with the invasive/expensive options yet but may be open to a monitored cycle. I’m going to give it a few more months and then will be more seriously looking into options.

@princesslockness @elothair I guess I need to be more patient with them. I am just worried since it is taking so much longer. I also got pregnant very quickly with my first two and went into this thinking it would be the same.

@eleven_ I post in both and keep the kid related talk here. I have people bring up TFAS a lot. Even random strangers. I mean, yeah, I’m working on it, but I’d rather people stay out of my uterus business. It’s like people think once you have one baby that when you decide to have another one *BOOM* pregnant. It’s not always that easy. And then the added complication that I’m still nursing which has delayed our timeline will probably just make me think I’m weird for nursing so “long”. It’s just not black and white to me at this point. I also got KU very quickly with DS, so this is new territory for me.

@princesslockness I like that idea! If and when I get a BFP, I'd like to be able to share it somewhere! I'm still new so I definitely would not feel comfortable sharing it on the regular grad thread for a while.

Any thoughts about this cycle? This seems to be taking forever. I did not pay attention this closely with our first, so all this waiting is killing me. Also, on the advice of like everyone in my January BMB, I bought a pack of wondfos, but MAN these are confusing and hard to use. I'm a digital girl. I hate squinting at these things to figure out if I see a line or not.

Any questions? Not really. Posted a question in the WTO thread about temps, but based on the responses I got there, I think I'm all set now. Just really hoping that some patterns start to emerge with my chart!

GTKY: What would you sing a Karaoke Night? Haha I'm a car singer but would likely not ever do karaoke. If I did, it would be some crazy thing that no one should ever sing (Sam Smith, Adele, etc.).

I hope I'm not the only party pooper, but I don't think it's a good idea to allow BFP posts on this thread. If some people were opposed to it but moved on to their BMBs, we can't really say that everyone on this thread will be on board with it, or that we won't get new people who are not okay with it. I also think it would be really hard to see BFP posts from people who participated here for 2 weeks on their first cycle TFAS. We also can't forget about the people with secondary IF. I'm not sure if many post here, but I thin it's important for everyone to have a safe space.

@lalala2004 Sorry for your crazy cycle! That's no fun at all. FX you O soon. It's normal to worry about your cycle so don't feel bad about that! About anchoring furniture, we just always used whatever came with the furniture...Ikea usually includes them in the package, so we just used what they gave us. I think in DD's bedroom we used those L shaped brackets.

Welcome! I had my Mirena removed in June. That's great that your cycle is getting back to normal! I agree with what everyone else said. Feel free to post on the dailies and here. It's best to save the kid talk for this thread, since not everyone here has kids, and those TFAS can relate better.
@elothair That's a tough decision to make about talking to an RE vs just accepting it might not happen. I hope you guys can come to a decision that you feel happy with.
@dukestar5 Please let us know when you get your blood work results! I'm glad you were able to get that done.
@juliebird6 Do you mean you bought Wondfo OPKs? It definitely is hard to keep looking at the line to determine if it's as dark as the control line, but you'll learn it quickly! I usually have one or two that are close, then the next one is really dark. It's easy to see when you get a positive that it's a legit positive (IMO, at least). So if you're questioning it, it probably means that it's still negative.

I could go either way when it comes to posting BFP's in this thread. Sure it would be fun, but I also could see how it could be hard on those that have been here for a while. I think I'm leaning more towards it not being a good idea, actually.

I agree with this. We have a weekly BFP check in thread. I personally want to avoid seeing BFPs right now and can’t do that on FB but I can here and would like it to stay that way.

@Spylon don’t worry! You’re not the only one who has done that...I’m pretty sure two cycles I POAS at 6dpo because I read a forum online where a girl swore she got a positive at 5/6dpo.

@spylon he has just started climbing more. He is rarely unsupervised, I just want to play it safe if he’s in a big boy bed if he wakes up and is fooling around without us realizing it. I’ve heard too many horror stories.

It's been a few weeks since I've been here, sorry ladies. I've just been feeling a but harried and such so I cut a couple of things out until I could get ahold of myself.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I started teeming and I've been pretty good about it. I'm liking the information.

Any questions? Do you remember when your kids went through the 9m growth spurt? DS has always tended to hit them precisely on time to a week early. But he was teething about that time and he's grown based on clotting fit. So I figured he'd hit it. But yesterday and today he's eaten a ton more. Like 3 more nursing sessions plus the same food. We got 2 days of good sleep after teething and then motn wakeups again and demanding to be fed - which is new. Could he have 2 growth spurts? Or maybe grow and then replace instead of chunk then grow? Any insight appreciated.

@Mylitta we missed you!! I’m glad you are feeling less hectic. I don’t remember either kid hitting a 9m growth spurt, but both kids eat like a race horse. For fun one day I plugged L’s calories in to my app and he had over 1200.

Hello ladies! I introed a few weeks (months?) back, but haven’t been checking in much since I had yet to get a post partum period, so I felt like I was wasting my time and got frustrated. I was beginning to think I’d have to wean completely and wasn’t sure I was ready to do that. But lo and behold AF arrived yesterday! Pretty sure this is the first and last time I’ll ever be so excited to get AF.

GTKY: Not a singer. At all. Ever. Unless DD needs it to get to sleep (happened for all of 2 months and I’m so glad it’s over now).

Hope everyone is enjoying getting ready for their holiday! I’m stuck at work despite every other school in the region being off today. Not much work actually happening on my end today....good thing I’m not a classroom teacher! I just couldn’t do it.

@Spylon we are only doing it because we bed share and he’s never slept in the crib. If he did, no way I’d be giving it up! We are going to cuddle (or nurse) him to sleep and then sneak out.

@catwoman8731 I know those feelings all too well! This is my first cycle since July 2015, too! So crazy to go so long without a period. I was totally cool with it until ready to TTC. Thankfully I didn’t have to wean for it to return. As far as how wacky my cycle is.... We shall see. I always had long cycles, and that hasn’t changed considering I’m on CD 27 and haven’t confirmed O yet.

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to growth spurts, unfortunately. When DD was little, someone told me about "wonder weeks," these developmental type spurts that babies go through at certain stages. It can make them sleep less, eat more, act crazy, etc etc. Sounds very likely that he's having a growth spurt or he's in a big developmental stage. I know it's so hard and drives you completely crazy, but try not to worry about it too much. It just means he's growing and thriving and getting stronger! When DD was that age, I kept trying to "fix" it, but it helped me feel so much better when I finally just accepted it for what it was.

@mrs_drc_rn Don't do it!!! We have had ours for four years and I hate him!!! My kids both love it but it’s so much work for me and DH. I do love how it brings magic into the home though and the kids really do listen to the threat of the elf telling santa they’re being naughty!
