I thought filling in for our guidance counselor on the college visit open house today was going to suck, but all the kids are in sessions, and this community college is smaller than my high school so they can't get lost, and I found a comfy sectional lounge to relax in. It doesn't get much better.
@nanifrog I would too, it's awful. How about the siding on the wall that's inside. We just took a stroll on the treadmill for a couple hours. It's quite relaxing.
Hey now! Not all lil boys are gross. mine wasn't. The worse he did was pick his nose and eat it, gross but I think all kids do... my dog is way grosser, he used to destroy the diaper genie to eat poopy diapers . This kiddo will probably be the opposite lol I doubt I can get lucky twice!
Hahaha I had to go search the June 2018 board. Do you think they realise how often ppls lurk their group for a laugh? Now i have to Google purple panties
Old Navy and Gap are 40% off of your entire purchase right now. I finally ordered a few maternity clothes. I'm getting desperate and all of my stuff from DD is for warmer weather.
Finally caught up on the last few pages on this thread! Purple underwear!!! also @suchaglencoco I had to take DS to my appointment yesterday. He also felt he needed to be weighed, blood pressure and Doppler. Luckily he was being cute about it all and would just shout "my turn" after I had each thing and everyone thought it was cute and not annoying!
@theletlers, that is super cute. Yesterday I went to use my doppler in our living room and DD was upstairs with DH. She heard it and came running around out of our room, slid down her belly for the whole flight of stairs, and came to stand next to me to watch. She's become fascinated. I am kind of sad we won't have a lot of u/s this go because I'd love for her to see one. And I'm anti boutique places for myself so that option is out.
Me too. I think I might push for him to come to the AS in January. Also I booked my anatomy scan yesterday!! So excited!! DH thinks it'll be a pain but I feel like it's such a cool thing for him to see.
@theletlers we took DS to our ultrasound last weekend and he was fascinated. He kept talking and waving to the baby and had a ton of questions.
The only thing you might want to check is the age requirement. At the practice we go to for the NT scan and AS,they don’t usually let children under a certain age in.
Went to the ILs’ house for dinner tonight. MIL comes out with a gift bag and says, “Here. This is from my friend Billie. But I already opened it to see what it was.” Sure enough, it was rewrapped and she had opened the card. That’s weird, right?

@mileswithmyles yes that's weird. Thanks too. They already told us that if the kid is under 10 they only require another adult (like a SO or parent or friend) to help keep an eye on the kid. I think DS will love it!!
I can't get over how weird it is to open someone else's gift and then re wrap it like it didn't happen!! It would have been less awkward if she had even joked and said "I opened it before Billie told me it was for you, sorry!"

I think it's weird that she opened it. I prefer that she owned it though.
@mileswithmyles my MIL told me about when her and FIL got married, they were 20 with a 2 year old, the spent the night at his grandfather's house instead of going back to his mother's house where the 2 year old was, along with FIL's 5 other siblings the youngest being 8. She said when they returned the following morning, his mother had opened all the gifts and cards from the wedding and claimed she was just too excited to wait to find out what they're was. As I learn more and more about that grandmother from her it makes me appreciate my MIL she may be super clingy, but at least she's not crazy.
I woke DH up this morning by telling him to go to Babies r us to pick up the convertible car seat I bought baby today. He was not amused. But 40% off a Chicco?!? I’m a sucker for a good sale!
@heelsidehero or daylight savings?! We’re still off schedule.
@mileswithmyles Your MIL wins a lot of prizes, and none of them good. Your stories about her reallllly make me feel bad for about talking shit about mine. I don't know how you've dealt with her all this time, you need to take your halo in for a good shining. If she admitted to opening it, why did she even go through with the trouble of re-wrapping it???

@sandbar517 don't feel bad! It's all relative. Sometimes I feel bad about all the shit I talk because sometimes she is really nice and fun, like when we go see plays and musicals together, but when it comes to DS and this baby, she makes me crazy. I am at least glad that DH doesn't have her on a pedestal.
@mileswithmyles so I would never open someone's present ever, but I can understand being curious about what the gift is (I still would never actually open a wrapped present to snoop). But I just wonder why she read the card? That is the weirdest part to me.
I'm glad she is nice and fun other times though! At least there is some balance.
Re: Randoms Week of 11/13
When people didn't post on the knot or the voice it was fine. On the bump I get so worried.
