How many are you having? Just 1 that I know of this weekend. This is our first kiddo

How many weeks will you be? 28+2. Wanted to get ahead of the holidays.
Any thing you're hoping for or adamantly against at your shower? The one game I vetoed immediately was that one where they take yarn and guess your circumference... I was big to begin with, dont want to feel worse lol.
What's the theme? Up up and away, so hot air balloon invite and decorations. Im actually decorating hot air balloon cookies now hehe.

Any thing you're hoping for or adamantly against at your shower? I'm just hoping it's not over the top with games & such. I said to please let it be coed so my husband can be involved since this is his 1st child. I'd much rather have just a casual get together.
What's the theme? Not sure. It's all going to be a surprise!

Any thing you're hoping for or adamantly against at your shower? I just told my sister no gross games (like candy bar in diaper style)
What's the theme? No real theme although my invites were classic Pooh and we talked about a very loose vintage storybook thing, and it's at this tea room which already has a vintage-y decor.
Who's hosting? A group of my close friends

What's the theme? No clue. They are surprising me with everything and I am strangely ok with it. Normally it would drive me crazy.

How many are you having? One shower, although I'm pretty sure my school and some of my local friends are planning little "sprinkles"/get togethers to celebrate baby girl

How many weeks will you be? 27 weeks 6 days - Pretty much all of our family (both mine and DH) lives in Pittsburgh, so the shower will be over Thanksgiving weekend when we're home
Anything you're hoping for or adamantly against? We aren't doing any shower games. I didn't have any at my bridal shower either.
What's the theme? I'm with @MrsJ2410 - There isn't going to be anything overly theme-y, but there is also going to be a vintage storybook vibe

This sounds crazy, but I think we're having 4. I had a small one with my girlfriends out of town, I'll have a small one for work, a small one with my mom's side of the family on thanksgiving (they all live out of state and my parents are divorced) and then a larger one for local friends/ dad's family. This is the first baby in my friend group and family so its kind of a thing.

The only baby shower we're having with a "theme" is the one my cousins are putting on. They've called it a "pregger kegger" - Its a couples shower/excuse for my huge local family/friends to get together and drink beer.

How many weeks will you be? Almost 31weeks. Wanted to have it before baby came but not too close to Christmas so we’re having it December 2.
Any thing you're hoping for or adamantly against at your shower? I hate games and don’t really like being the center of attention. Thankfully my mom knows this and it’s going to mainly just be a come and eat some food and hang out. We live far away from everyone so it’s basically an excuse for us to see everyone.
What's the theme? I don’t think there is a theme? Not sure. I know my mom said she’s probably going to put up some decor but I don’t know if it will just be ‘baby’ or a theme.
How many are you having? One 'big' one with family and friends (tomorrow!). I imagine that our schools may also do something small for us, as they usually do for new moms/dads, but the true 'shower' is tomorrow.
Who's hosting? My best friend from high school is hosting at her home, but my mom, sister, and MIL have been planning a lot of it, too, I think.
How many weeks will you be? 26.5. I'm glad others are also having showers as early as now, since some people have remarked that this seems early. I think it's tough with the holidays coming, and the very unpredictable weather in January, so to to me, this is perfect!
Any thing you're hoping for or adamantly against at your shower? I don't like tacky or "gross" games like mentioned above, but I really trust that my mom and sister are also of the same opinion, and wouldn't include those. Otherwise, not really? Hoping for yummy food!
What's the theme? I have no idea! The time/date/place is not a surprise, but the rest is. I can report back.

Who's hosting? My SIL and mom, and I am helping with stuff that I can. I don't want to be a control freak but I have trouble letting people do so much for me without helping too! For example I am a graphic designer so I'm making the invitations (although the RSVPs don't go to me of course), and any little signs or worksheet things they need for games.

Not me, but I don't want anyone to be disappointed. I vetoed the belly circumference thing and some chugging beer from a baby bottle thing. What is this? College?
What's the theme? Woodland theme. And it is coed. Our baby is a boy and we named him Wolfgang, nn Wolf so we thought woodsy would be cute.

My big shower is space themed. 'Twinkle twinkle little start' my mom says. I helped pick it, it matched the theme of the nursery. Other than that it's mostly a surprise.

Just one as far as I know. I think my work might do a little something, but I’m not expecting it at all.
Who's hosting?
My Mom, MIL, and DH’s Aunt. It’s at DH’s aunts house. This is the first girl on DH’s side of the family and they’re thrilled. I’m excited for them to work together. It will be hard for me to let go of some control because I want to mail out invites and DH’s Family wants to do an evite. I’m not really a fan of those, so this will be interesting on who is going to compromise.
How many weeks will you be?
It’ll be the first week in January, so I’ll be 34 weeks. I’m a little nervous about that, but I’ve been reassured that it will be okay. Being a FTM, I’m freaked out about everything... ha!

I am just hoping to see Family and friends I haven’t seen in a while. I am a fan of the games, so I’m really looking forward to that.

So cute story - DH came for the gift opening at ours. The set up of the room was 2 long tables, and when he walked up between them everyone high-fived him on the way to the gift table lol. Too funny.

I knew the date and location of the shower, but I didn't know any details! My MIL did most of the planning, and we had a great time. She did a book shower, which I loved! I have so many books to read my future babe, and I'm so excited to tell him stories of the people who gave him the book. For games and activities, there was a diaper decorating station, a "what's in mom's purse," and a what are "mom's preferences" games (will the baby have a fashionable or family name? cloth or disposable diapers? etc". I liked the fact that there weren't too many, and it was interactive. The best part was that MIL got a carrot cake which I devoured. Also devoured my husband's slice, too

What's the theme? Brunch, since it’s my second and just a sprinkle we are going to a local restaurant for brunch!

Hosts? My 3 SIL (we live on the opposite coast as my family and best friend). Luckily I'm fairly close to 2 of my SIL as I helped them out a lot after they had their babies.
When? 31 weeks
Hoped for everyone to have fun! I was also hoping my hosts would ask people to bring books in lieu of cards or fancy gift wrapping. Still really appreciate the work my SILs did for me! Did not want to open gifts in front of everyone.
Theme? Winter. Snowflakes and candy canes and the such.
That being said, I was nervous for mine too because I have 1 friend who behaved so badly at my bridal shower that my MIL (who's already kinda socially awkward) doesn't want to be around her... so I stealthily enlisted a couple of my charming and chatty besties to be a buffer between the 2 and it worked really well lol. I also had a couple coworkers there who don't like each other much, but they naturally gravitated to different groups of people and they all had a great time!
