@molly1108-2 that is totally my MIL. This was her "last chance." We are excited to have one of each, but we would have been equally excited to have two boys. I think she would have been really disappointed since BIL is done and this is going to be it for us.
It really drove me nuts with my first @mileswithmyles. Then with my second, we found out the sex but didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to hear her complaining the rest of my pregnancy. She found out the sex of our niece right around when our second was born so she got over him being a boy quickly. (I think she may have known before he was born or else she would've made dumb comments)
I think both families are hoping for a boy. Everyone thought DD was a boy. We did a gender reveal and the U/S tech wrote it down on a card. When DH and I pulled out the card it was typed "boy" and then "girl". The "girl" was checked off, but listed second. We started to say "its a b........oh girl". Very anti-climactic and we both sounded super disappointed. I still feel really bad about it. I can't imagine life without DD and she is definitely DH's little girl. I would love one of each though. Either way we are two and through.
I *think* I’ve posted this before but for my SIL second pregnancy she recorded everyone opening confetti poppers at the same time. It was a girl, everyone cheered, my FIL (hers as well) threw his down and stopped off saying “oh shit” or “god damn it” something completely inappropriate. Once the dust settled he said he was okay with them having a girl since “we already have a boy” (meaning my son... and NO, He’s MINE, sorry)
*TW*MC mentioned she miscarried that baby at 14 weeks and when they got pregnant again and did another gender reveal he said he learned his lesson and kept his mouth shut. End *TW*
For our pregnancy this time, we’re team green and my FIL, must have forgotten we knew ahead for my son when he asked last time, “are you going to tell us this time or are we going to have to wait to see the baby until after he’s born” um... versus seeing him BEFORE he’s born? He said he hopes for another boy this time, so he can take him hunting (so much no and wrong with that for me)
Re: GTKY- who cares more about the sex?
