2 randoms for today 1. I'm craving seafood and since I'm going to hold off because there will be seafood in my dressing and one of the apps I'm making for Sunday's Friendsgiving I'm going to just have the fixings for lunch at the seafood place by my job. Hopefully that will curve my craving until late Saturday when I start cooking. 2. I'm super excited about everything today. IDK why. Maybe its a combination of Friday, people getting gender results, a short work week next week, friendsgiving this weekend. I'm just excited.
RE: Old Navy Maternity clothes. My DH works for Old Navy and Gap Brand in general is eliminating maternity in store, but as others have said you can return any online purchase to any store. Gap actually has some of the best maternity business casual clothes, but they are only online. The lack of in store maternity clothing options during my last pregnancy was super frustrating. I hated that I had to buy different sizes and styles to see what I liked best. FWIW I found that maternity clothes from Zulily ran a little small- so I always sized up. Gap/ ON pants were pretty true to non maternity Gap/ON pant sizes.
@ffw0617@Miz_Liz DH is a corporate lawyer in nyc, so if he passes CA after not studying and working 100 hour weeks the three months leading up to the exam, it might be a sparkling wine night lol.
My results were there wasn’t enough fetal DNA. So 10+3 is too early in my case (and I’m very thin so it’s not from being overweight which can happen I’ve read). Sigh. Getting my blood redrawn Monday.
@marcus7676@krashke to be clear, the test says you can do it at 10 weeks. I guess that just isn’t true. Or something is wrong. Might ask for an ultrasound.
@doxiemoxie212 I am sorry that’s sooo frustrating!!!!! I hope you get your results faster this time. Try not to stress, I was just asking my OB about this today because I had always heard 11+ weeks and the front desk told me 11/22 which is 10+6 - she said sometimes it will come back as not enough fetal DNA if you go on the earlier part of the window but after another week it should be good. Either way, sorry you’re dealing with all of it
@doxiemoxie212 - I'm sorry you're going through this. Hopefully you can get an u/s to put your mind at ease and get another blood draw and get results faster this time.
@ffw0617 - Now I really really want shrimp. Ughhh. Why would you do this to me?!
@izza2 I successfully avoided seafood. I had 2 red potatoes, corn, andouille sausage, and an order of beignet fries. So good, it craved my craving and only cost $8.
@doxiemoxie212 Ok now I’m a ball of nerves. I’m scheduled to have my blood drawn Monday which puts me the morning of 10+5 and I feel like how could 2 days make a difference if 10+3 is too soon. Really don’t want to do all this and pay for it and wait the two weeks only to have to wait two more.
So angry. We haven't watching This is Us yet. But what comes on during a commercial last night while DH had the football game on last night?! A big huge spoiler that channel is never on our tv... so go effin figure!

@tammy574 They say 10+0 is fine, but for me it wasn't. After this experience I would have waited until 11 weeks because then I'd only have to wait one extra week, but now I'm going to have to wait more than 2 extra weeks because of how Thanksgiving is falling. So... just my two cents.
@BurlapandLace he lands at midnight ET, so we'll probably find out around 1am ET? TBD based on cab lines etc at the airport. Eeep! Ugh, I hope it's less disappointing than my Mat21 results lol.
Like two weeks ago 4yo DD told me she is scared of a "trench" which I thought was an odd thing for her to know about, much less be scared about. After two weeks of assuring her that there are no trenches in our house, she asked me
HE PASSED HE PASSED HOLY ISHT HE PASSED THE CA BAR EXAM!! I've never been so happy to be married to someone who is lucky AF with multiple choice!! (I mean, the man is very smart, but seriously, he did not study... he was up at 5am CA time before the test both days working on client stuff until literally right before... like this is no joke a shock that he passed)
@tammy574 well he still needs to get a job, lol. This just makes him a candidate firms might actually consider, but by no means means he'll definitely get a job in CA... buuuut I sort of hope that maybe it'll mean his firm here in NY will let him switch to one of their CA offices....
I have family in So Cal and would move in a literal heartbeat if it were a possibility. Love that warm dry air. And palm trees. Oh and the beach. Nothing like it. Hope he gets a job.
@doxiemoxie212 OMG! SO EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS!! All good vibes your way. Glad something went well today. Sure the other test results will be great as well. Just a sucky, annoying wait. But yay yay yay for hubby passing!
@doxiemoxie212 YEEEESSSSS!!! so happy for you guys!!! You def needed this today after the m21 annoyance. I hope this means amazing things for you 2 very very soon!!
