What's going on with you this week? How are you feeling? What do you want to rant or rave about?

How far along are you?
I mainly just drank beer. I loved a good Oktoberfest or something dark like Guinness. I had one of those alcoholic seltzers over the summer and those things are awesome but totally dangerous. I honestly don't miss alcohol at all, though. I haven't had much to drink since I got pregnant with my daughter last April so at this point it just feels like it's not even an option for me.
And yes, those seltzer things are dangerous! They led to me mooning during a famil photo at mil's house. Luckily, her and the siblings thought it was funny.
Glad you'e finally feeling better! And hooray to a stretch of no puking.
How am I doing this week? Getting anxious to tell work. I think I'm going to wait until next week when I have officially cleared the 1st trimester. My boss just came back from maternity leave in October. And I'm pretty sure most of my co-workers were expecting me to be pregnant soon anyway so I don't think it will be a big shock.
Go to alcoholic drinks? I haven't been much of a drinker since having DS. I get hangovers super easy, my tolerance is so low and I almost feel like I have an allergic reaction to alcohol. So I really limit what I consume. But I used to love red wine. I miss it when I think about it.
@suchaglencoco was bad mom's 2 good? Also I'm glad your friends were able to get your mind off the spotting and I hope you are doing better.
@fraufarbissina woot to the almost through the MS phase!
@bwow615, it was ok. It was funny, but not as funny as the first. They focused more n the "feel good" portions of them getting along better with their moms.
I am feeling better, thank you. I ordered a doppler that night and we got it last night. We couldn't hear the hb yet, but it was registering perfectly. That really helped my anxiety.
Going on? This week is my birthday and I flove my birthday. Husband is post-call so we have a sitter coming for an extended day date. OB appt, movie, and dinner at my favorite French restaurant. If I get really lucky he'll have energy left for sex, but I won't keep my hopes up for that. Otherwise, gearing up for thanksgiving though it's just the 3 of us this year. I think my husband should be home around noon that day from work so that makes me happy. I'm hoping to watch the parade with my daughter in the morning.
Alcohol? I'm not really a big drinker. That being said, I miss ALL the alcohol when I'm pregnant. It's probably some mental thing, I can't have it so I want it. I have friends who imbibe after the 1st tri but I'm never comfortable with that for myself. My husband's residency graduation is in June and it's open bar so I'll make an ass of myself then for free.
I'm also weaning off hormones this week. My symptoms seemed to get worse and now today they're a lot better apart from fatigue. I just hope and pray everything's going well with the baby.
@fraufarbissina whoop whoop for not throwing up!
@bwow I'm also getting ready to announce! Have you announced to family and friends yet? I'm looking for ideas.
@oywiththepoodlesalready hope DD feels better soon! And that your MS goes away completely!
@thedawkterswife I hope hubby gives you everything you want for your birthday and more
Has everyone announced yet?
We announced at 11ish weeks. We had 3 good u/s and got our announcement photos back from the photographer so I couldn't wait anymore.
I told my family this week and was able to tell them the sex along with it. We were having a family dinner so I offered to bring dessert. I walked in and my dad asked me if I had something to tell him, he just knew lol. So I blurted it out and then told them to cut into the cake to find out the sex. Everyone was so happy, and my nieces are loving the name the baby game, some of the suggestions are great.
I think I am going to tell work next week once I hit 14 weeks and right before Thanksgiving weekend.
I think I'm scared to announce because we lost a pregnancy in March and I'm just so anxious to get into the second trimester and be cleared of genetic issues.
@bwow615 your MIL was so cute! And amazing how your dad just knew!

- This week we announced the pregnancy. We did a phony announcement. I’m so glad I don’t have to keep it a secret anymore. I’ve also started to feel better the last few days. My nausea has been gone for the most part and I’ve had a lot more energy. I even went back to the gym for the first time in like 9 weeks yesterday!!
-GTKY probably Hard Apple Cider.
Or white wine.
Or a Stiegl Radler.
Not gonna lie. I miss booze
