What's going on with you this week?  How are you feeling? What do you want to rant or rave about?
Had some minor brown spots this Saturday and had a major anxiety attack. Poor DH. And our poor lab. She's so sensitive to emotions, especially when I'm pregnant and she was a hot mess. But all ended well because I went to see Bad Moms 2 with great friends after it and they helped me feel better.

GTKY: What was your go to alcoholic drink before getting pregnant? And do you really miss it/crave it or something else?
I used to love wine, but it got to be too sugary for me and I couldn't sleep well after. I do like rum and root beer, but also sugary. I got into those alcoholic spritzers this summer and those were delicious. I also think I got mil addicted to them, haha. But I really like basic beer. And last pregnancy, all I wanted was a Blue Moon. I just wanted to chug a Blue Moon. DH tried to give me one after I had the twins and I did not want anything to do with it after my first 3 sips.

  • @fraufarbissina, thank you. I'm definitely better mentally.
And yes, those seltzer things are dangerous! They led to me mooning during a famil photo at mil's house. Luckily, her and the siblings thought it was funny.
Glad you'e finally feeling better!  And hooray to a stretch of no puking.
  • @suchaglencoco hahah that's great.  Sounds like you have awesome ILs
  • How far along? 13 weeks on Tuesday.

How am I doing this week? Getting anxious to tell work. I think I'm going to wait until next week when I have officially cleared the 1st trimester. My boss just came back from maternity leave in October. And I'm pretty sure most of my co-workers were expecting me to be pregnant soon anyway so I don't think it will be a big shock.

Go to alcoholic drinks? I haven't been much of a drinker since having DS. I get hangovers super easy, my tolerance is so low and I almost feel like I have an allergic reaction to alcohol. So I really limit what I consume. But I used to love red wine. I miss it when I think about it.

@suchaglencoco was bad mom's 2 good? Also I'm glad your friends were able to get your mind off the spotting and I hope you are doing better.
@fraufarbissina woot to the almost through the MS phase!

  • How far along are you? 13 weeks today!

What's going on with you this week?  How are you feeling? What do you want to rant or rave about? Not a whole lot this week. Feeling slightly better which gives me hope that the MS will end. DD has a cold so sleeping has not been happening and that is making me grumpy.

GTKY: What was your go to alcoholic drink before getting pregnant? And do you really miss it/crave it or something else? I LOVE hard cider. I actually had just gotten some of my favorite from the store when I was like, "I think I'm late, maybe I should POAS before I drink this", not really thinking I could be pregnant so soon after starting to try. That was 9 weeks ago and my cider sites in the pantry mocking me every day.
  • @fraufarbissina,  they have their moments, but I'm pretty lucky overall.

@bwow615, it was ok. It was funny, but not as funny as the first. They focused more n the "feel good" portions of them getting along better with their moms.
I am feeling better, thank you. I ordered a doppler that night and we got it last night. We couldn't hear the hb yet, but it was registering perfectly. That really helped my anxiety.
  • @suchaglencoco so glad you were calmed with the doppler.  I have been thinking of gettting one since my next appt isnt till 12/1.  I don't feel pregnant lately, it's so weird to me.  Last pregnancy I don't remember not feeling like I didnt have symptoms this far along.
  • How far along? 13w1d

Going on? This week is my birthday and I flove my birthday. Husband is post-call so we have a sitter coming for an extended day date. OB appt, movie, and dinner at my favorite French restaurant. If I get really lucky he'll have energy left for sex, but I won't keep my hopes up for that. Otherwise, gearing up for thanksgiving though it's just the 3 of us this year.  I think my husband should be home around noon that day from work so that makes me happy. I'm hoping to watch the parade with my daughter in the morning.

Alcohol? I'm not really a big drinker. That being said, I miss ALL the alcohol when I'm pregnant. It's probably some mental thing, I can't have it so I want it. I have friends who imbibe after the 1st tri but I'm never comfortable with that for myself. My husband's residency graduation is in June and it's open bar so I'll make an ass of myself then for free.
  • Hey everyone!! Hope we can keep I hope touch this week :)

How far along are you? 12w5d

What's going on with you this week?  How are you feeling? What do you want to rant or rave about? I had some minor brown spotting last week like you Sucha and it freaked me out. I have my NT scan this Friday and getting the Panorama results so I'm a nervous wreck and have been so anxious. I even had a bad dream that my Panorama results came back good but we saw an abnormality on the scan :(

I'm also weaning off hormones this week. My symptoms seemed to get worse and now today they're a lot better apart from fatigue. I just hope and pray everything's going well with the baby.

GTKY: What was your go to alcoholic drink before getting pregnant? And do you really miss it/crave it or something else? I've never been a big drinker or craved alcohol so it's NBD to not have it. I'd usually drink red wine, a cider or rum and coke before getting pregnant. When with the girls I'd enjoy trying out all the different cocktails!

@fraufarbissina whoop whoop for not throwing up!

@bwow I'm also getting ready to announce! Have you announced to family and friends yet? I'm looking for ideas.

@oywiththepoodlesalready hope DD feels better soon! And that your MS goes away completely!

@thedawkterswife I hope hubby gives you everything you want for your birthday and more  ;) I'm more in the mood for sex these days but hubby's been tired.

    Has everyone announced yet?

  • @babydreams88, I'm sorry for the spotting and bad dreams! Honestly, that doppler is  life saver until I can start feeling regular movements. And honestly, I'll still probably use it because DD seems fascinated with it. And so am I.

We announced at 11ish weeks. We had 3 good u/s and got our announcement photos back from the photographer so I couldn't wait anymore.
  • @babydreams88 we announced to SOs mom first. We put DS in a big brother t-shirt when she came over and it took her a bit to understand what it meant.  She whispered... "you're pregnant?".  It was really cute how shocked she was, she really didnt expect us to have more children.  SO told his sisters over group text, not very creative, and we told some of his extended family in person when we went to visit the week of Halloween.
I told my family this week and was able to tell them the sex along with it.  We were having a family dinner so I offered to bring dessert.  I walked in and my dad asked me if I had something to tell him, he just knew lol.  So I blurted it out and then told them to cut into the cake to find out the sex.  Everyone was so happy, and my nieces are loving the name the baby game, some of the suggestions are great.
I think I am going to tell work next week once I hit 14 weeks and right before Thanksgiving weekend.

The frustrating thing is I ordered a Doppler two weeks ago but because I'm in South Africa and it's imported it's taking forever to get here :( I can't wait to have it!

I think I'm scared to announce because we lost a pregnancy in March and I'm just so anxious to get into the second trimester and be cleared of genetic issues.

@bwow615 your MIL was so cute! And amazing how your dad just knew!

  • How far along are you? 13 weeks What's going on with you this week? How are you feeling? What do you want to rant or rave about? I am so tired of the constipation that comes with zofran. But when I don't take it I just start throwing up again. I've been able to cut it down to twice a day, sometimes three to get through the night. But as long as I take it at the right times I don't throw up at all. So that's a plus. I just want a good and relieving shit though that doesn't take forever to come out and doesn't require a lot of focus and effort. Sorry TMI I'm sure. GTKY: What was your go to alcoholic drink before getting pregnant? And do you really miss it/crave it or something else? I guess I was always just a beer girl. But really since we started ttgp with DS about five years ago I haven't drank much. But I really enjoy Fat Tire. Also my tolerance for alcohol has gone way down since DS. Like embarrassingly low...
  • I hate the mobile app sometimes...
  • @theletlers I've found that drinking fruit juice really helps with the constipation. 2 glasses a day works magic ;)
  • @theletlers And prune juice.  So cliche, but it totally works.  Drink it warm, which tastes awful, but it seriously works SO well.

  • Sorry the letlers!! I hate constipation! Fybogel really helped me, as well as glycerine suppositories.

Well I had my appointment today! Not enough fetal DNA for the Panorama :( think it's because of blood thinners. Will draw more blood for NIPT on Monday and I'm also going tomorrow for the traditional Downs test because we'll get results sooner. It made me so anxious before the scan.

But baby was on track at 13 weeks and HR 156

  • Ugh the bump cut off my messsge :(

But baby was on track at 13 weeks and HR 156 ❤️ no signs of abnormalities, but I have a big clot next to the sac and I'll be rescanned on the 27th to monitor it. If it gets bigger I'll go off blood thinners but Dr wants me to ideally stay on them for the pregnancy. He says it's unlikely to affect the baby and it'll hopefully reabsorb. No sex or exercise allowed. I still can't feel like I can relax as we wait for results and see what happens with this clot! But was so cute seeing our baby wiggling around ❤️

  • @babydreams88 yahoo for the good scan today! What a cutie!
  • Thank you we are just so in love with our little munchkin!! It's only sinking in now because I was so anxious during the scan.

    How far along are you?

What's going on with you this week?  How are you feeling? What do you want to rant or rave about?

GTKY: What was your go to alcoholic drink before getting pregnant? And do you really miss it/crave it or something else?

    - 13 weeks and 1 day!

    - This week we announced the pregnancy. We did a phony announcement. I’m so glad I don’t have to keep it a secret anymore. I’ve also started to feel better the last few days. My nausea has been gone for the most part and I’ve had a lot more energy. I even went back to the gym for the first time in like 9 weeks yesterday!!

    -GTKY probably Hard Apple Cider.
    Or white wine.
    Or a Stiegl Radler.

Not gonna lie. I miss booze  :D;)
