Agree that sleeping has gotten more challenging. But for me it seems like the super vivid dreams are contributing. Also, have to get out of the apt because it smells like fumes from another coating of epoxy or something they are using to seal my building's driveway. They have been working in phases for the past two weeks and it is awful. Plus Google says it could (I'm assuming in large doses) cause MC, birth defects, etc. Guessing I'm not getting that much exposure, but still...so fun to worry about it...
I went on the BabyCenter July BMB just for kicks and it was as much of a hot mess as it's rumored to be. There was an entire thread devoted to "tweaking" pregnancy tests to try and see 2nd lines, which basically consisted on someone drawing lines next to the tests where they though they saw indents. I know the desperation of wanting to see that line but it was like a whole thread of giving people false hope.

@coco2787 I use to be on the ovia app and got so annoyed with those posts! They would also do some weird stuff with their camera filters to “show” the line. Similar to the dress thing a few years back (wa it gold or blue)
Haha tweaking the tests means making it negative with the test checker. I think the drawn on one is a one off weird one. Some are so faint, the only way to tell for sure is to make the picture negative.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
@magzor Where the actual hell do you find $12 bottomless mimosas? I swear I've looked at every brunch menu in Boston and cannot find bottomless brunch ANYWHERE! Also, impressive feat, m'dear.
Huh. I have never heard of such a thing. Tweaking. Wouldn't that potentially show a bunch of chemical pregnancies?
It could. I’ve seen it mainly with my fertility groups. They’re sometimes testing out their HCG trigger shots so they can determine when the test is truly positive.

I can't wait to start sharing our bump photos! I took my first picture today, 5+4 so I could have a before photo. I know the discussion board got a lot of grief when we started it but I'm excited! We know we're all going to grow eventually but it's always nice to know where you started from!
@gspmom21 I started taking pics too. I still have the ones from my first pregnancy on here so cool to see how they compare. Super excited and wondering if I’ll show earlier this time.
@acunamatada Hahaha, boys (assuming it's a guy) know nothing sometimes! And... wouldn't he know! I'm sure he's been around for a while. I sent the photo to my BF and told her "BTW, those are just Little Debbie's, no baby bump yet but needed a before"
@wildtot I hear that you do start showing early after your first. FTM so I don't know what it's like carrying around a heavy baby but I would love showing earlier, just being able to completely enjoy being pregnant for as long as possible... But I might rethink that when I'm waddling and swollen everywhere in the middle of the summer.
edited to add words to make sense.... pregnancy brain already.
Off topic question...is it possible to get notifications through the app when you are tagged in a post? I know the website does but I haven't seen anything on the app.
Ladies, I am riding the struggle bus, correctiob I am comandeering the struggle bus. the Nausea is out of control. I have head hunger but zero appetite. I force myself to eat and than immediately feel like I could get sick at any moment but rarely do. It could be that I had to get up at 5:20 this morning for work but the exhaustion is at a new level i dont remember from my first pregnancy too. man I knew pregnancies would be different but I was hoping the MS would skip me this time. now off to go watch Great British Bake Off which doesnt bother me while I try to keep down my sandwhich. Also id love to be as gorgeous as emma watson haha
I say show your bumps, take your lumps. (If you want, I mean.)
@lindsayleigh1989 Solidarity, girl. If eating and ginger and all the normal stuff isn't working for you, try Sea Bandz? Those really helped my dizziness last time and I've heard they help nausea, too, and are an unconventional method.
Not pregnancy related but horrible way to end the weekend. Last night I started think “when did I last see hiccup (my ~10 yr old cat)?” I thought it was weird that she wasn’t near us as we went to bed. No meowing or anything. I’ve been up most of the night and can’t find her. She’s an indoor cat that was declawed (don’t judge) years ago. She has never tried leaving the house even when doors are open. I’m worried that she finally got the guts to walk out this weekend somehow (I don’t recall leaving doors open due to DS). I’m really hoping she’s just playing good hide and seek because idk if I can take losing another cat. We had to put down our other car two years ago just weeks after delivering DS. The last time I think I saw her (thank you baby brain) was Saturday afternoon.
@wildtot I’m so sorry! I hope you find her! since she’s never been one to go outside let’s hold on to that, but it wouldn’t hurt to look around the yard, she could have gotten adventurous. If she has a toy that makes noise try shaking it while calling her, or a food bag.

This is exactly me right now! I can't handle it. I am constantly nauseous, but never to the point of actually getting sick, and totally exhausted!! Like, exhausted isn't even the word for it....I don't know if a word exists for this level of tiredness. It started on Saturday and has only gotten worse. It seems that the only time that I am able to actually ingest any food is around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. The rest of the day I just want to sleep and absolutely not think about food. I don't remember this level of nausea or exhaustion from either of my other two pregnancies. It is going to be a lllloooonnnggg first trimester.
@d_marie_23 You're in the wrong city, come to Philly.
@gspmom21 One other of my friends didn't get it either, AND she ordered decaf coffee. After I got home, one did text to ask "btw, no mimosas? " and I said no, we're trying to be budget conscious so if both of us had gotten them, the bill for breakfast would have been $65. She didn't press the issue, thankfully.
@lindsayleigh1989 I swore by my seabands last time! I already bought a new pair for this pregnancy. I also started a unisom+b6 regimen on Friday and habent felt nauseous since!!
@wildtot oh no! I hope you find her! If she did get outside she's probably close! I had a cat run out a couple years ago and found him terrified in our back bushes a few days later. Indoor cats are usually too scared to get very far
