Re: September IVF

  • @emmasemm Lol, thanks, we have a thing for doing big things in December in our house! My B-day is on the 23rd, my DH's b-day in on the 18th and our wedding anniversary is on the 22nd! Plus Christmas, Hanukkah and New Years Eve. If we add another exciting event to December list that would be wonderful.

    FET #2 Jan 2018- CP
    FET #3 BFP!!! EDD 12/15/2018!
  • @DecemberDoll27 Yay!! So glad we'll be doing it together! I'm not actually doing any injections that I know of this time, I have estrogen pills to start with my next cycle, and then will add in progesterone at some point as well. I do miss the feeling of "control" that the injections gave me, just felt like I was doing something that was so important (and it was obviously). Not sure if my husband misses it or not, haha!

TTC since 2012 | Unexplained Infertility -- Sept 2017 found cyst seemingly confirming previously suspected endometriosis | IVF Sept/Oct 2017 Negative | FET scheduled early December

  • Hi Ladies. Thanks for your wishes. FET went perfect! Since only had 1 PGS normal embryo I was nervous if it would even thaw okay. But so far so good. The embryo was already hatching which according to the RE is a good sign. It even hatched more from the time they took a pic at around 11 to the time we transferred at 1pm. The RE was optimistic his exact words - the embryo is looking for something to stick to! Keeping my fingers crossed. I know I have a lot of hurdles to cross but I’m going to keep faith in my little embryo and hope for the best.
  • Thanks for asking about me :) Congratulations to all the pregnant ladies. So exciting!

I’m doing a FET the week of November 13th. I’m on Lupron and oral Progesterone right now. The progesterone was because my progesterone was very low and my ovulation delayed (bw at CD 22 showed LH was just increasing so I hadn’t ovulated yet). I think the Lupron trigger without additional progesterone support threw everything off. With the low progesterone the RE was worried AF would be off and mess up the FET schedule. I don’t know if it’s strictly the progesterone or in conjunction with the Lupron but I take both in the morning and an hour later I get light headed and dizzy. It wears off by lunch. I’ve taken oral progesterone before, years ago and don’t remember this happening.

    I. also had surgery today on my foot. I figured since I had a bit of time while I’m definitely not pregnant I’d squeeze it in rather than delaying it again. I have a temporary pin and a walking boot. I’m off work for the next few days due to taking Norco, then I’m to stay off my feet as much as possible. Thank goodness for an office job.

I dropped my car off at the shop last night for some maintenance and they’ve been texting me all day the repairs it needs. I heard an intermittent metal on metal grinding and now it looks like I need to drop 3k and they still haven’t found the problem. Apparently I need new tires due to uneven choppy tread wear, my exhaust is leaking and my shocks and struts need replaced. That’s what I get for trying to take advantage of the time that I wouldn’t be able to drive anyway.

    Congrats @rainbows2018 !! That's so exciting :) What's your next step?
@artemis618 PUPO yes! Sounds like a good grade embryo too :)

I've been lurking on the boards to keep up with some of you, so glad to see some of you ladies moving along nicely!

    AFM *pregnancy mentioned*
@hopeful_mom Feeling ok! Just hit the 8 week mark which is nuts. I have my next appointment next Thursday so eager to get in and get things really checked out. My RE did a trans vaginal ultrasound and confirmed little nugget and showed us the heartbeat but that was about it. I'm ready to get all my levels checked and just make sure beyond "yes there is one in there" that everything is ok.

Thankfully haven't had full blown morning sickness but have been really badly nauseous the last week and a half. That and I've been really shaky due to, I guess, low blood-sugar if I don't eat almost every 2 hours so just trying to adjust!

When are you telling family or have you already?

  • Thanks @loverin!! TW I go for my second beta tomorrow. Hoping that it doubles - I think after that it may be US in a couple of weeks! Can’t believe you’re 8 weeks already. How long does your RE keep you? Mine releases patients to their OB after 6-6.5 weeks but it’s gonna be longer for me due to my history End TW

TW @rainbows2018 How did your second beta go?

My RE did a 6 week (6w4d for me) ultrasound to see how baby was. Once he confirmed everything looked ok he referred me to my OB. I have my first appointment with her Thursday!

When do you think yours will refer you? End TW

  • Hey thanks, @hopeful_mom!  Sorry you’ve been so nauseous, but hope all’s well otherwise.  This wait is starting to wear on me - I went from being optimistic to not thinking I’m pregnant today...and of course all the drugs screw with you.  If I do POAS it would be maybe Friday or Saturday morning - although that could make the 40 mile drive for my beta (only that office is open on Saturday) seem kind of awful.

At what point do people usually go back to their OBs?  I’m not in love with mine either - I didn’t even have one (just a gyn) till I got *TW* pregnant last year.  I really only saw her for our 8+ week first appointment and when I went in after our *TW* loss learned from another doc in the office that she hadn’t completed her notes from that initial visit.

  • Hi @loverin!! Congrats on being discharged by the RE!! TW My second beta was 983 so they were pleased with that. First of 2 US is on Fri - they are hoping to see a yolk sack and gestational sack. If all goes well the next US will be in a week to 10 days from then. My RE usually discharges around 6.5 weeks but has agreed to keep me for 9 weeks or so. I’m leaning towards finding a new OB too but I’m too scared to even look just yet.
  • @rainbows2018 ***TW congrats on the second beta! Fx for Friday!

@artemis618 hope the wait is not driving you too crazy! Keeping everything crossed for Friday!

@adirat fx for your beta Monday!

*** TW @hopeful_mom @loverin can't wait to see more updates from you as you're giving me hope for my future cycles! And there are really days when I need help to keep that hope going with my sleepy ovaries!

AFM done 6 nights of stims and three of Ganirelix, at the monitoring on Monday my ovaries were still totally sleeping (we had already added the Ganirelix on Sunday night as last time I almost Od before the first monitoring and weekend monitoring isn't possible here...) but the good news was my then still AFC looked like 6 so hoping that a few of them wake up and decide to party together this time, rather than let one go out dancing on her own like last time! Or they have gone into hibernation and the cycle will be a bust... Hope to know more at the monitoring on a Friday. Last time I had no real side effects from the stims/Ganirelix but this time I'm at cramps and tiredness central which I hope means something is trying to work!

  • @rainbows2018  so excited to hear your good news really hope it continues!

@emmasemm  i'm thrilled that I could help keep your spirits up I'm still just waiting for us all to become  bump buddies together!   Remember my cycles were always different! IVF number three was my first ER I did and I only had three as the fourth was a dud  even though it didn't end anyway that I had hope it still was a success come transfer time.
Remember I did PGS testing I also want to remind you that for us low Amh it doesn't matter how many we really get it's the quality and It truly truly counts! One cycle I had six to test and got 2 normal back , and in the following cycle I had three to test and got 2 back so we really just never know but praying that your golden eggs are in this batch!

@artemis618  I actually loved my OB but he no longer does delivering so that meant I need to find one and then I found out he no longer takes my insurance so regardless I still need to find a new OB.  As  for graduating from your clinic I think many of them are different that you were between six and nine weeks 10 weeks.   I really wish they actually kept you through the first trimester to be honest .  TW  for me since I had my miscarriage literally the day I graduated from the clinic My RE understood that I wanted to wait till I was farther along and considering everything I have been through he was OK with it.   Since I've been so sick it's been hard to do the research to find any.  my suggestion would be to really start looking for one sooner than later. And I know you don't want to jinx anything because I've been there and I can relate but I did schedule an appointment last time and then had to cancel it so I get it.   I'm still terrified to do it now but I need to because my appointment I think has to be around Thanksgiving time so I need to get a MoveOn! How are you feeling?

  • Thanks ladies!!

@emmasemm AFC of 6 sounds good and like @hopefulmom said, it’s about quality vs. qty. I had 1 PGS normal embryo!! I’m keeping everything crossed for you and as much as I hated Ganirelix, it makes sense to start that early for you so you don’t O too soon.

@hopefulmom I totally hear you. TW since I went to the same OB during my 4 MCs, I somehow think that going back to them will produce the same outcome. Plus I’m too scared to look for one before I see the HBin the fear of jinxing myself. I know it probably makes no sense but IF has made me insane. GL to you. I know it’s hard to believe but the MS does go away. You wake up one AM and it’s gone like magic.
  • @rainbows2018 yay hope everything looks great tomorrow! That beta is great

@emmasemm I hope the side effects are a good sign that your ovaries are responding! Mine are still enlarged which is just nuts! Fingers crossed for a good report tomorrow and that they’re all dancing together!

@artemis618 you’ve got this! Just ignore the symptoms cause you’re right, the drugs can really mess with your head. My fingers and toes are all crossed for you, these last 2 days are the worst part of the 2ww!

@hopeful_mom I’m glad you’ve been about to stay with your RE. I honestly didn’t want to stay with mine, not because he’s not great at what he does but because he’s not a warm fuzzy “let’s talk through all your questions” doctor. I didn’t feel like I could ask what I wanted so I’m glad to go to my ob. It’s hard to leave a doctor you’re comfortable with regardless, especially with IF! Hope that your MS starts to get better soon. Two you’re a week ahead of me right? 10 weeks?? End tw.

    AFM
TW Went in to see baby today! Everything is looking as it should which gives me such relief. I know things can still happen but I'm trying not to dwell in that. 9 weeks on the dot and measuring right at that. I have the cutest little ultrasound picture where you can see it's head and hands, and nugget kept moving them for us. I cried like a baby. Next ultrasound is after thanksgiving and we'll be telling my husband's family then as we'll be 11 weeks. It's just really surreal so far. Thankfully no fully blown MS, just really light headed and out of breath all. the. time. lol End TW

I'm just so thankful for this group. I still try and follow most of you on the other boards because I'm rooting so hard for you to be successful, I can't wait to celebrate with you all.

  • Thanks @Hopeful_mom, @emmasemm, and @loverin!

@hopeful_mom and @loverin I’m glad things continue to go smoothly for you (morning sickness aside).

@emmmasemm I hope your ovaries perk up!  Does your RE insist on suppression before you start stims?  I think I’ve mentioned before, but I feel like if stims are high enough to start synchrony is less of an issue - but I’m no pro. Fx!

@rainbows2018  Yay for your u/s tomorrow!

AFM, I posted mostly this in November FET this AM:

    ****TW****

Okay I’m weak.  I POAS (actually 3 different brands) this morning (7dp5dt) and got better than squinter but still faint positives.  (I felt no symptoms whatsoever, but a fellow November FETer got a +HPT at 5dp5dt.)  Typically I don’t like the idea of POAS “early” because honestly, I don’t think I’d even want to know about a chemical pregnancy, but with a transfer it’s not like I wouldn’t know exactly what I lost.

I haven’t yet told DH (last time he didn’t believe me until we saw the heartbeat at 8w2d - First appointment since was natural/first pregnancy) - I think we’ll be more convinced after a second encouraging beta on Monday (first is Saturday).  Hopefully this one will decide to stay!

  •  We all have been through so much on this board and really can't wait for everyone to get in America and I know I'm not the only one that worries every step of the way!

@artemis618 woohoo CONGRATS!!!  I am over the moon for you praying those lines get darker every single day! It really is very exciting at 7DPT to see the true line that's really great news! Mine wasn't even there at 7dpt that I was hysterical I had a friend that thought she saw something that tried to talk me off the ledge so I'm thrilled thrilled thrilled praying that line gets darker, can't wait for your beta!

@loverin yay congrats on a great ultrasound! You should post the little nugget just put it in the spoiler box.  I tagged you on the PAIF board Too you should  join us there too!  And yes you are correct I am one week ahead of you I have another appointment on Tuesday and I just made an appointment with an OB for the following week as they do not take new patients after 12 weeks. Learn something new every day.

@rainbows2018  I keep praying and waiting for that same thing, no sickness and then I'll worry then too!   :D   You really have been through so much and I completely understand we don't want to jinx anything! I felt OK for like an hour today  and Made a doctors appointment finally.  don't think I'm not freaked out about it but I'm staying positive and telling myself it's all gonna be fine!   When is your ultrasound?

    AFM:
All day nausea is kicking my ass and I threw up my vitamins last night which kept me up for the rest of the night so not fun, hoping today goes smoother for me.  Can't wait to see this dancing tonight next week!!

  • @emmasemm I am back IN THE GAME! I started AF yesterday (along with my BCP for 7 days) and hope to be on the boards regularly again. Work this time of the year (for a crazy like me who is in store line retail management) means tons of hours and a comatose ME when I get home. Couple that with it getting dark at 4:30p nowadays and Im OUT.

Hope all is well with you ALL (and @emmasemm I just caught up on our Nov board....)  and to all of us working hard:

  • @artemis618 CONGRATS! I am so so excited for you! Fingers crossed that your line just gets darker and darker! My bfp was on 9dp3dt and I took 2 tests, one was very obvious and one scared me to death because you could barely see anything. Can't wait to hear how your beta goes and I hope that, while it's hard to do, maybe you can breath a little easier going in (always easier said than done  )

@cmiller73 Oh man, retail this time of year must be tough! You'll be tired but it may be a good distraction too. When do you start stimming?

@hopeful_mom yessss so glad to see some new people jump on that board, it's seemed dead for awhile!

  • @loverin I am expecting to start stimming late next week or early the next. I have a week of BCP (ending on the 14th) then need to wait a few days for my next bleed. I expect to have baseline next Friday if all goes well!
  • @cmiller73 Welcome back! I hope you make it through this season without too much trouble and of course I have my fingers crossed for your IVF cycle!

@loverin Wow that really looks like a baby now! Congrats!

@hopeful_mom @loverin So happy for both of you! It warms my heart to see September IVF friends moving forward <3

AFM -- transfer was Monday, so now I'm just playing the waiting game! I think I will probably POAS Monday morning...eek!

  • Wow! I’m excited about all the activity in this group!!

@loverin - your baby looks like a little teddy bear ... so adorable. What’s your EDD?

@adirat GL on your TWW - I know that’s the hardest!!

    @artemis618 yayyy! I think that’s a great sign.

@cmiller73 glad to see you’re getting back in the game! We are rooting for you!

@hopefulmom thanks for the kind words! And nausea is a B but it does go away!! It’s all temporary!

AFM: I had my US today. Needless to say I was super nervous but we saw the Gestational sack and yolk sack. Per RE that’s all we would expect to see at this point. I go back on Nov 20th for a second scan and hope to see a HB.

  • Thanks so much for the support, ladies!  *TW* First beta today (9dp5dt) was 153... We’ll see what we’ve got on Monday!

@loverin What a cutie!  Thanks for sharing :)

@rainbows2018 I didn’t even realize how early they take a peek to see what’s going on.  Glad things are as expected so far :)
