@napqueen most of them were small vials... but still... it was a lot. I don't remember how many vials I gave away with DD or my mmcs but I think I would remember if it creeped into double digits. That sucks about the anterior placenta- I would not be a happy camper if anything made it harder for my doctor to find the heartbeat or for me to feel kicks. Hopefully babe will move positions quickly for you.
@napqueen I had an anterior placenta with my first! I concur with @PatientlyWaiting10--it never caused me any problems, but it did take me a lot longer to be able to feel movement. So just be prepared for that!

ultrasound today was so great! it looks like alittle baby now! kicking and twisting. and finally got to HEAR the heartbeat, instead of just seeing it. measured 171.
this wasn't an NT scan. but today was the first day with all new machines so the lady doing my scan wanted to learn how, so she measured. and we're in the clear for those measurements also! it gives me alittle bit of hope that the m21 will come back ok.

Awesome @catlady1215 ! How exciting to be on the new machine and get some extra time with your LO!!!
Our appointment went great this morning too! Moving and twisting and waving like crazy!! I measured 11 weeks in one measurement and 11+2 in another.
I love being able to see what's going on in there!

5th appointment today, thanks to my low progesterone, 2nd u/s. The doctor had to use the abdominal one bc my fibroid were blocking everything. Heart rate was 173, we even saw the baby move. YAY. Everything is good, only concern was my loss of symptoms (again), but I think she jinx me bc I've felt like crap ever since I got back to work. Have to go back, you guessed it, next week. I've had appointment every week since the BFP except one. Good news is she says I can ween off the progestrone starting next week.
@ffw0617 Appointments weekly would be a pain in the butt but it's gotta be fun to see your little babes growing in there!
I am SO looking forward to weaning off progesterone too! Dr. said typically it's safe to stop at 10 weeks but he likes to be safer and overlap to 12 weeks so I have about a week and a half left! Woo hoo! Hopefully then really bad fatigue and drowsiness goes away!

I just made an appointment to meet with the genetic specialist about doing the cell free fetal dna test. (Like Mat21 or Harmony) I’m nervous because I’ve never done it before and do not know what all the consult will entail and also how the costs will pan out. I’m almost 100% that my insurance won’t cover it but I really still want it as long as it’s affordable. I also wondered how soon the results come back because I wanted to wait until the results came back before announcing.
@tammy574 if you’re under 35, it’s usually around $500. It’s a simple blood test. You should call the company your OBs office uses AND your insurance to confirm costs. In my experience the OBs office is useless on the cost front - they give out pamphlets with phone numbers to call.
@tammy574 if it's materniT21, there's some place on the website (listed on the pamphlet) where you can enter your ins info and it'll tell you a price range. Mine was between 0-350 lol, so it was a wide range but atleast I know it won't be 1k. I'm sure actually calling your ins will get you a better price. the consult will probably be a lot of background information on you, DH and your families. As for results, they told us it could take up to 2 weeks. I've googled and saw anywhere from 1-2.

Glad to hear good news from everyone else's appts!
Had my first US today. By LMP I'm 7+6 but the scan today put me at only 6+4. By my ovulation tracking I'm 7 + 1.
If todays US measurements are to be believed then I conceived 8days after we last DTD. I just explained to DH how his boys probably didn't stick around quite that long...
Anyways I was glad to see a heartbeat and everything looks normal but the tech said I may need another US for dating in a couple weeks.
Does anyone know how to do the Ramzi gender test? Had my first ultrasound last week. It was abdominal.
well at least this wasn't posted in it's own AW thread. But...no.
I would say the best way to find out the gender of your child is to wait until they are an adult and ask them their gender identity. Also for example, my step-sister was born the sex female, for many years in her childhood she identified her gender as male. In about middle school she started to identify as female again. And these days she said she is gender fluid but still prefers female pronouns. So you really just never know.
The best way to find out the sex of your baby is to give birth.
