  Same thing is happening with my lo. He however drinks from my straw cups fine. I've been looking for one the right size that actually works for him. You could try various straw cups instead.

  You could also try the munchkin 360 cups. They figure it out pretty quick because you have to suck on it.

  My baby’s had a hard time with the 360 cup, did better with either soft nipple sippy cups for transition, or soft straw cups.

  We skipped the classic sippy and went with a soft straw cup. I sipped from it first to show him how it works and eventually he got curious enough to try.

  Try an open cup or straw cup instead of a spout one! My LO never liked the classic sippy style but took to a straw surprisingly fast.
