Re: Nursery themes
Second baby: learned the first time around baby isn't likely to spend much time in the nursery anyway. Baby will be bunking in our room. It will also mean DS and baby won't have to share a room before we can get into a bigger home.
I am do glad we didn't buy and glider and just used that. Much bigger and much more comfortable for long nights.
@suchaglencoco Yep, we used an old recliner too. It's one I purchased right after college and it was just in the basement into I realized it was the perfect comfy chair for the nursery. Bonus was it was leather, so easy to clean. I spent many long hours and middle of the night feedings in that comfy chair. One with good, but not too tall if arms I think is important too for breastfeeding. Mine for perfectly with my boppy.
Travel. I have several pieces for the wall that I've had an a standing globe passed down from my grandparents but I'm have a hard time finding travel themed sheets that aren't all boy.
Everything I find I like is sold out of course. May have to go with plain colored sheets and just accent the room.
@rachelg777 not sure if you know the sex yet but I've been having a hard time finding anything not super boyish.
2) STM+ what theme did you have for previous babies?
my sons room is nautical themed. He is two and I don't plan on changing it for a while. Maybe getting new sheets but no desire to change for several more years.
I don’t think I’ll know until we find out the sexes.
2) STM+ what theme did you have for previous babies?
I didn’t really have a nursery for my first. My second currently has a pink and gold themed nursery.
Boy- Woodland or vintage sports
Girl- Something similar to DD’s room, but different colors/pattern.
2) STM+ what theme did you have for previous babies? Coral and cream/ivory/white, lots of florals. I picked a sheet/quilt set from Little Unicorn and designed the room from there.
Probably the same theme but a different color. If it's a girl I'll probably add butterflies

It's hard to explain but we had a grey and white nursery with trees and leaves for decoration. My brother actually built a "picture" that was just black and white sticks in a white frame. J still loves it. I also made his mobile out of fishing wire, a black painted stick, and glittery cutouts of leaves. (I'll have to take a picture of all this when we get back because I'm not describing it well.)
It was nice to clear out the guest room to make it DS's room. It made us get organized and gave us a space for all of his things. Babies are little, but them come with a lot of "big stuff."
None! Though I found this awesome crescent moon bassinet made out of refurbished pallets that i want my SO to build. Hes quite good at that sort of thing.
2) STM+ what theme did you have for previous babies?
I had some safari animal decor for DS. However he slept with us until he was about 3 so that was totally useless. Hence why we won't do a theme with this one. It was just a waste for us.
2) STM+ what theme did you have for previous babies? Our daughter's nursery was neutral walls, with accents of light pink and deep pink. Owls were very popular when she was born, so we had a few owls.
My twin boys are only 1.5, we did a greatest adventure type think with an outdoorsy feel, we also added bears, foxes, and a moose, not the cartoony kind.
If this baby was a girl, I really wanted a watercolor floral, with soft feminine colors.

For this kid, I'm not sure but maybe desert or mountains. Since moving to Indiana I've missed them.
The theme of the nursery is “third child” where they use their brother and sisters old sheets and crib. We are going to set up the crib in our room for a while and then likely move it into our son’s room because he always sleeps in my daughters room so the space is available.

My first had an apple blossom theme (we live in an orchard). Her grandmother and great aunt painted a beautiful mural in her room that she still has.
My second was a nautical theme. My husband did one wall blue and white striped.
There will be no painting with this third child. I feel kind of guilty about no nursery but also a huge sense of relief.
