Hi my name is Katlyn I'm 26 years old, my partner is 27 years old.
We have been trying to get pregnant for 6 months now. I took my IUD out in march of this year and started trying to get pregnant in May so it's been 6 months now and no luck...
TTGP: We have been having a lot of sex and I have been tracking my ovulation on the shine app.
I haven't wanted to get into temperature taking because I feel it would stress me out even more and I haven't invested in ovulation test.
I have been taking a prenatal vitamin since January and my periods are extremely regular there for my ovulation should be extremely regular.
Any suggestions? Thoughts?

@Alohakumu let's talk about our ideas:
DH and I have different ideas about how we should arrange the furniture and set up the spare/guestroom, should the event arise we need a nursery/playroom/guestroom set up. ❤ But how fun to start to have conversations about that stuff finally!
I had the idea to host an after Thanksgiving dinner, the Sunday after. I even took Monday off work to clean up after company. ;) We really want to make our place feel like a family home and destination where people will visit over the holidays - Or any time! So right now the plan is to get the house in order, paint the dining room, and feed whoever decides to to show up that day. Even if we have to break out folding chairs and all the rest, just throw the party and let the rest sort itself out. But ppl will never come if we don't make a point to break the ice somehow. :/
We are talking about some ideas for how to eventually transition me out of this new corporate job and back to the house, making 100% our own income again. It's challenging bc of course my Manager loves me and wants me to stay and move up the corporate ladder - which was never my intention when I started. And meanwhile DH wants me to come back home full-time, but there's tradeoffs with that too. So it's a bit of a rock and a hard place - if I don't cut hours, I won't have the time to start working on the next venture. But if I do cut hours, that will basically max out my potential on the lowest rung, since I'm pretty sure I'd need to stay at 40 hours to advance...
I have some ideas about how I can get crafty and make our family holiday gifts this year, instead of spending so much $$$! We were thinking canned homemade jams or cranberry sauce etc, eventually one of these days my Ukrainian Easter eggs and/or Christmas ornaments. I have even seen fun ways to make holiday snowglobes with a mason jar, maybe for the kids!!!
So these are just some of my ideas...
Anyone else have any suggestions? Thoughts?
*typos
This.
Also this, of course.
@businesswife I agree with @kiwi2628 -- what do you want? Love your homemade Christmas gifts idea!
@kbamomma33 I see you and I love it.
@adirat Definitely watch a creepy movie. Under big comfortable blankets, while sipping a nice, hot drink. Eat all the protein.
@kiwi2628 @adirat. Yeah, that really is the kicker, isn't it? I feel like I need to stay the course for now, and have given myself the freedom to see how I feel as we go along. If hopefully this first nugget sticks, then the truth is we wouldn't have any other IVF based costs for a while. Storage fees due in a year, next FET cycle whenever, but if all goes well, we feel like there's no reason any other standard type of health insurance would be fine (like what we had before we switched for ivf) because all insurance covers babies, L&D, normal healthcare etc. I am at this job for the IVF coverage specifically. So if God willing our retrieval are done, we have discussed that we would be fine paying for storage and transfer cycles OOP. We have definitely gotten our money's worth out of this coverage so far!
So that's a factor to weigh, how important specifically the ice coverage will be to us moving forward, and that remains to be seen. Apart from that, my time at home is priceless. Eventually my time with the babies, the young kids as they grow up, you can never get that time back. And right now I feel like I might rather re-enter the workforce down the road when they are more school age, assuming we found a school we were comfortable with, or else go all in with the homeschooling and WFH. That was always my plan. Never in a million years did I picture myself climbing the ladder of corporate finance. Lol I mean really, totally not me. Not that I couldn't DO it, and love it and thrive if that were the case, but in a way I almost see that as another type of plan B if God forbid DH were not in the picture and I had to find a way to provide for my family on my own...
But I mean, I say that now, fully realising that who knows how I will feel once we are actually in it, doing it, living it.
Ah, and DH is home now... to be continued... lol
@adirat those cookies sound like just the thing for a rainy day! Which we have here, too, btw. Care to post the recipe??? ❤
@adirat If coloring is your thing, I love coloring on rainy days! That's usually my go-to idea when I don't want to head outside.

@LadyMillil. It is only too much Halloween candy if you 100# drain your bank account buying only candy or you fill an entire trash can full of only wrappers (in one sitting.
Any one one have any idea where the tie to my robe is hiding? Or when my bronchitis will completely clear? So far I’ve tried the following: antibiotics, Nebulizer, inhaler, OTC meds, diffuser, humidifier, vaporub, steam showers, honey, hot teas, and cough drops. Any other thoughts?

I wonder if drug manufacturers know how much money I'd be willing to pay for a vaccine or cure for the common cold and bronchitis... I always get one awful cold every year that morphs into a bronchitis from Hell and it knocks me on my ass for a solid month. It ruins every aspect of my life for 4-6 weeks. Bleh.
Hopefully your body is more cooperative than mind and you have a speedy recovery!
