New one: abdominal soreness. I stood up too long on Saturday afternoon and was super sore all day yesterday and couldn't even lay down comfortably.
Me: late 30s | H: early 30s TTC #1 since April 2015 RE Dx: Fibroids, surgery Jan 2016 IUI #1 and #2, Nov/Dec 2016, BFN IVF March 2017: ER - 5R/3M/3F, 1 PGS normal Polyp removed May 2017 FET May 2017 - BFP! Baby boy born 2/2/18
So maybe TMI and I've mentioned it before, but my belly is getting furry... Do I, like, groom that? Go full chewbaca in the next 14-15 ish weeks?
Also, I learned the limits of standing up/leaning over this weekend. I make decorated sugar cookies as a side gig and was baking/icing for hours on Sat and deeply regretted it. Shoulda popped Tylenol.
ETA Oh, and my boobs started leaking a bit. Guess it's time for nursing pads? FTM here, so if anyone has suggestions, greatly appreciated!
Feeling pretty good. Same overall abdominal soreness/heavyness as mentioned above. Especially if I am up on my feet more. Which makes me have to pee way more from the pressure. It’s annoying!
Random change that I plan to ask my doctor about today - both of my big toes have giant bruises under the nails. MFM released me to start exercising again so I've been walking 4+ miles several days a week. My guess is something about all this extra blood flow combined with relaxing ligaments in my feet are causing it but I figure it can't hurt to let the doctor know.
Tried a new skin care line over the weekend and ended up with lovely chemical burns on my face. I don't know if it's because my skin is more sensitive from being pregnant or just because the anti-aging stuff was too harsh but I look like a beet!
Got up quickly from the couch, and felt a sharp pain on the left side! I'm assuming it's RLP, and will have to remember to get up slowly the next time!
@clc515 - I'm also a bit hairy under the belly button. I haven't done anything about it, though! My linea negra is also out in full force!
@fatted_calf - yikes! My guess is that the skin is more sensitive - hope it gets better!
@clc515 I'd just leave it be. It won't continue to grow nonstop like hair on your head.
I could not fall asleep last night. My legs kept feeling itchy or they'd twitch and jerk. I had restless leg syndrome the last 6 or so weeks of my pregnancy with DD and if it's already starting up I'm just going to lose my mind.
I'm definitely feeling a little more achy and heaviness in lower abdomen. I've notice I've really "popped" this past week or two so I'm sure that's what causing the soreness. But, overall, feeling pretty good!! Huge, but good
Boobs are leaking which is super annoying. Had to go get washable breast pads so I would embarrass myself in public.
Lots of ‘heaviness’ in the belly. I still don’t feel much in regards to kicking (damn anterior!) but I can feel where she is laying because it feels super heavy in that area. Which leads to poor sleep right now.
@clc515 bamboobies have the BEST nursing pads for sure. Super soft, very absorbing.
I have been so SOB the last several day, I don’t remember being SOB like this so early last time. I keep saying it is nothing, though I should probably talk to my OB about ruling out a PE.
@GoogleMD and @SarahFoley725 thanks for the recommendations! @jennifer_m21 yep, +1 for linea negra. Dunno if it'll get darker, but there's one there for sure.
The non- stop peeing... especially if I’m holding my son. Must be pressing on my bladder somehow and I’m afraid I’m going to leak one of these days. Also my feet have been swelling if I’m on them for too long.

I'd get some thin nursing pads. I leaked with my 2nd pregnancy and if I didn't put the pads in I'd have to wash my bras daily... which is a pain.
They do have reusable/washable nursing pads that were SO comfortable. I am not a fan of the disposable ones I've tried.

Yes! I had physical therapy with my 2nd pregnancy and they used that athletic tape (forget what its called) on my stomach to help support and I wish I remembered how they did it. It was wonderful!!!

Is SOB - short of breath? If so, I've been short of breath for weeks now. Still good to let your doctor know.
I also clicked "love" for the bamboobies! They are awesome.
I have had some wicked crotch pain... like where your bathing suit elastic is on the bottoms between your vagina/leg. I think it was nerve pain. Just had a chiropractor appointment and feel so much better.
Other than that, I've also had the heavy abdomen and swollen feet if I'm on them too long. Thankfully no more braxton hicks/contraction episodes.
I actually loved my linea negra with DD. It stayed around until she weaned, which coincidentally was shortly after I got pregnant. Now I'm 22 weeks and it's gone! WTF? I definitely get hairier where pregnant though. Working on a pretty legit happy trail. I usually try to pluck the super dark ones and just say screw it with the rest. My biggest symptom right now is still pubic bone pain. It's a lot worse any sex, but I'm trying to let DH get it while he can because we had a loooong dry spell with our first. Also my nips hurt. I thought that was a first tri thing.
Definitely another +1 for the furryish bump, the heaviness, and the constant feeling that I need to pee. Also, more overall achiness lately, both abdominal and lower back.
I just feel like my belly is *hard*, and is reminding me of when you blow up a balloon, right before it pops from being too full? That's how my belly feels. FTM here... and I *know* it can keep stretching, but it feels so hard and stretched already! Please tell me I'm not crazy?
So much dizziness and constant headache. I suffer from migraines but this dull back of the head for days on end thing seems almost worse. Oh and I've nearly peed myself when she suddenly moved, apparently right on my bladder. DH followed me laughing at my sudden sprint to the bathroom. Pregnancy is so fun!
Also experiencing the heavy belly (and the hair growth on it too.. wtf). I've been having soreness in my hips, back, and bum thanks to my sciatic nerve too. Otherwise enjoying kicks on a regular basis. This LO seems to love music (which works out well since I'm a music teacher). I get lots of kicks when I'm playing the piano and singing.
+1 for extra fur. All of my hair is blonde, so its interesting that the hair growing along my belly in a line down from my belly button is dark brown and curly. Looks so out of place!
The heartburn. And my stomach feels so full all the time. I tend to carry my babies length wise in my torso instead of out. So my poor stomach suffers. It's to the point where I can't eat after 2pm if I actually want to be able to lay down at night. I'm trying small meals and drinking two carnation drinks a day instead of eating solids. Plus I'm on protonix. With DD I could barely eat the last month.

Agreed- smaller meals are all I can handle these days, or else I'll have ab pain and pressure. I am so tired and unmotivated these days at work- I can't tell if this is pregnancy related or if I'm just burned out. FTM here so I don't know if I should just anticipate a 3rd trimester where I am useless to my office or if this is just a phase.

I am completely the same right now! We had an insanely busy month or two at work, and now I just want to crawl into bed for the next 17 weeks. I hope I get my energy/motivation back soon or else I might just convince my doctor to put me on bedrest as I'll be useless in the office.
I also don’t feel like eating. even small meals. IVe been forcing myself for at least a week. And SO is clearly concerned bc I’m generally not one to turn down food.
+1 for a fuzzy belly and feeling totally wiped out! @wal2017 I'm totally afraid of 3rd trimester if I'm this tired now! I'm also getting muscle spasms in my upper abdomen, near my rib cage. Anyone else have experience with this?
I experienced a new symptom this morning: dizziness while tossing and turning in bed. It was so weird.
Not much harrier than normal, or at least I haven’t noticed anything. Baby is rolling and moving around in there a lot causing me to think I have to pee or poo...
I’m eating everything in sight and I’m constantly hungry. I was hoping to stay under the 200# mark but I’m not sure that’s going to happen now! DH is 6’7” so I’m guessing this baby is gonna be huge!!
+1 for dizziness (but I'm pretty sure it's dehydration cause water improves this)
+1 for heartburn too. The smaller meals thing does help this though!
+1 for all the peeing. It's such a pain to feel like you're going to pee your pants all the time only to have a trickle of pee. I think it must be baby kicking me in the bladder or something that causes this.
+1 for the belly heaviness/feeling like I've got a bowling ball strapped around my waist.
Also +1 for the shortness of breath, although I think maybe mine is due to anxiety over life more so than crowding at this point.
I keep like falling asleep randomly while doing something...so +1 for the exhaustion thing as well. I agree with @babybro218 I'm scared for the 3rd trimester if I'm this wiped out right now.
Overall I'm feeling better than I have at any other point in my pregnancy, though that might be my anxiety medication finally working.
+1 for all the hip pain and lightning crotch. I've given up on remedies and have resigned myself to 17 weeks of pain.
My joints have also started hurting... feels like I have arthritis in my elbows, wrists, and fingers. I assume Relaxin is the culprit.
+1 for restless legs, shortness of breath, and dizziness. My RLS didn't kick in until much later with my first pregnancy. I apparently need more iron... anemia is what causes it for me. I also never experienced this level of dizziness with my first, so its been weird.
Heartburn showed up like crazy last night. I don't get home from work until around 7, which means we don't typically eat until closer to 8. I go to bed between 9:30 - 10:00 because I leave for work around 6:00 am.
This means that not laying down until hours after I eat is REALLY tough. I'm going to pick up some meds on my way home and hopefully tonight it won't be so bad, but last night I thought I was going to choke on stomach acid.
@ash0625 I finally jumped on the Zantac train on Monday and OMG, it made such a huge difference!
Sleep (or not sleeping, I should say) is becoming an issue. If it were just me not sleeping it would be one thing, but my tossing and turning is waking DH up, too. I'm thinking it's time for a pregnancy pillow, but I'm wondering if it will actually help. Thoughts? Suggestions? (I'm already sleeping with a pillow between my legs.)
Your mother would greatly appreciate if you would stop kicking her bladder and stomping on her cervix, especially during meeting when suddenly bolting upright in your chair is noticed by other people. Also, if you are hungry, please let Momma know what you want to eat rather than letting her decide, not liking it and making it so she can never have that particular item ever again. Ok pumpkin? I love you!

I noticed the nail thing too. I was doing a home pedi and managed to make myself bleed, I didn't even feel that I caught the nail bed. Thinking maybe it's just part of the more blood everywhere thing?
Edit to add - could you try witch hazel or similar to calm your skin? that sucks
@babybro218 if you add extras it might help. I raided the couch throw pillows and went full out pillow fort and it made a big difference last night. I wedged a pillow along my back as well as putting a body pillow between my legs and a pillow along my front, and it seemed to take the discomfort out of my hips that was having me toss from side to side. I also propped a few pillows up around my head and shoulders to give me some incline, as I'm all stuffed up at the moment courtesy of a cold.
@babybro218 I have a pregnancy pillow and fall asleep in bed every night but wind up on the couch by 1 or 2... so I think sleep is just not in my near future.
+1 for the insomnia. Sleep is no longer my friend. Dh is going to get me one of those snoogle things this weekend. Hopefully that will help.
Any one else have aching in the upper inner thighs? Like sore tired muscles. Its especially bad when i try to walk after sitting for along time, or if i walk a lot like around the stores.
@mamaof5already I started to experience what you're describing last week, after spending a lot of time on my feet. Felt like I did a bunch of inner thigh exercises, but I absolutely did not.
I've actually been more sleepy this week, taking a nap as soon as I get home then sleeping on time. If i could, I'd sleep in too, too bad about work lol.
