Did that thing where I commented on the old board. Maybe I'll figure it out by the time I give birth:
I have been running a temperature for a few days. All weekend my temp fluctuated between 99-103. I've been trying to push fluids and take tylenol but it never stays below 100 for very long. I'm at work and it just read 102.7. I am calling the office as a precaution. Anyone else get fevers/chills?
you know what symptom is reeeeally bothering me? that the one smell that bothers me most is garlic... even my husband cooking with garlic salt (which we use for everything). I can smell it from 2 rooms away. this household is obsessed with garlic so this is killing me!!
also, my son has a very limited diet. and his few selected foods for dinner are pizza or chicken nuggets/fries.. and the smell of them gross me out. doesn't help that I feel grossest around dinner time.

+1 to this today. I woke up with fever, chills, fatigue, everything but congestion/running nose. I thought about calling too but didn’t know if I was being too crazy.
Me: 28 | Husband: 39 Married March 2016 DD: born 7.22.16 DS EDD: 6.23.18
Everyday since last Saturday I get slightly more nauseous. Yesterday I picked up a pizza and had to roll the windows down. I ate it but the smell was making me gag the whole ride.
@missylaneous419 That sounds miserable! I hope that fever goes away very soon.
I'm 7 weeks, 1 day today and my moods have been horrible. I spent all of yesterday crying for one reason or another, and in between cries I was angry AF over how ugly our loveseat is. Then I walk into Target and they are handing out free cookie samples and it was so cute I started tearing up right in the vitamin aisle.
@catlady1215 garlic 100% drives me crazy when I’m pregnant. I just made my husband throw the entire Costco sized jar away because it was smelling up the house.
The nausea is so much worse this time around. I started B6 last week and unisom over the weekend. Sea bands are arriving tomorrow. Plus the exhaustion. I can barely walk up and down the stairs without needing to sit!
@marcus7676 I'm really struggling with the nausea, too. If I'm up walking around and doing things, I'm ok. If I'm just sitting and resting, oh man. It's a constant, disgusting gnawing and I'm very ready for that second trimester calm before the storm. The only thing that worked for me last time were these melty mint candies. I need to get to the store at some point.
Not many symptoms yet, but I've also noticed my hypersensitive sense of smell. I keep thinking something in my house is rotting and it will be a kid's dirty sneaker or a dishrag that no one else can smell. Dying.

@chartermama why wait so long? We're trying to wait until Thanksgiving just so that we can be together to tell our families in person, and I'm already dying waiting that long! With my last two I told my mom right away, but now we live further away and I want to announce in person. I def couldn't hide it through the holidays... Everyone would know when I wasn't drinking wine

Nov siggy challenge: animals eating Thanksgiving food
We're probably going to tell around Thanksgiving. I wanted to wait until 12 weeks but I don't think I can successfully hide feeling like crap that long.
I'm with you @sabby2. I came close to blurting it out to my inlaws yesterday when I couldn't stomach anything and just general crappy mood.
AFM sensitive smell to everything which will make work more interesting. Still tired, sore boobs, food aversions, nausea, and I've been extra moody/a grump over everything which isn't in my personality so I end up over compensating which makes me crankier. Its a terrible cycle.
@basemodel@marcus7676 +1 to terrible nausea. I tried all the things but it has been constant. My Dr prescribed diclegis so hopefully that helps. I've been living off of crackers and Ginger snaps and have lost 5 pounds in 3 days.
Me 30 Him 30 Married August 2015 DS born 5/23/2018 TTC #2 July 2020
All of my close family knows already (brothers and their families, my parents, IL's), so I don't feel pressured to share it with anyone during the holiday. They'll all expect me to be cranky and simultaneously starving and not want to eat anything.
Yesterday I was at the point where I could smell garlic everywhere. On my mum's breath, H's breath... It was overwhelming, and sickening.
@pinottoparenthood this will be our third and we were trying to announce in a unique way this time. I saw this idea on Pinterest to announce via our Christmas card in early December and keep mum for Thanksgiving. But I just found out my in laws are coming to stay with us for two weeks in November so I highly doubt I will be able to not spill the beans. Oooo I also forgot about the wine that will be a dead giveaway lol.
7 weeks +1 day , I have a few food aversions, sore boobs and slightly more tired. In the grand scheme of things, so far so good! Fingers crossed this pregnancy is a breeze! A few friends are pregnant and SO sick I feel horrible saying I feel fine when ask me.
We are going to announce on Thanksgiving. Our immediate families know, but not extended yet!
My symptoms come in waves. All of a sudden I'll be so exhausted I need a nap, or I'll be dry heaving over the toilet and ten minutes later I'll not even be nauseous at all. Last pregnancy I didn't even know I was pregnant at this point and my symptoms didn't show up until like 7-8 weeks. So wild how different things can be.
Ive also been running a fever in the mornings only. It fades when my MS fades so I am not sure if they are related. Its been going on for a while now but the fever isnt really high enough to treat in the 99 to 100 range.
DH came home and said "I haven't seen you outside the bed in days." Its crazy because last week, when my OB asked I wasn't tired, and now I'm always tired. @chartermama as of yesterday my parents, and siblings know (except 1 brother, I have 5 siblings). If all goes well at the doctor today, I'll tell my brother and grandparents tonight. DH is telling his parents and grandma Sunday (in person when he goes to his hometown for a football game). As far as extended family, I'm not sure yet.
ETA Possible TW( Sorry. Trying to learn to be more sensitive) we have both experienced a loss so we will wait to discuss telling until after the ultrasound at least.
End TW It has been difficult because my morning sickness is brutal, i keep throwing up at school and his mom works there.
@notaknottie912 oh wow sorry to hear that. This is my first pregnancy but I've been told having those close to know helps either way. Of course its the 2 of you that makes the decision. Who knows, she might already know, my mom knew with my sister.
@pinottoparenthood I also have a super sniffer. I was downstairs, on a completely different floor than my kid, and I could smell that he had pooped in his crib. Not cool, man.
My only other real symptom is an aversion to basically all food, as well as the endless exhaustion, but I'm really using this thread as an opportunity to b*tch about my endless cold. Bad cold + pregnancy + no cold meds + my husband out of town is making me want to throw in the towel on being a grown-up. My sympathies to all who are feeling similarly cruddy and under-medicated.

@ffw0617 could totally be the case. His mom will just be so so so excited she will probably tell everyone she sees and make 100 phone calls so we dont want to announce ourselves too early. We would both tell her if we experienced a loss but it would be a different reaction.
@chartermama DH wants to wait until Christmas. It’s our 3rd and he just wants to keep it to ourselves longer. Maybe PGAL brain.
I always have horrible morning sickness so I have no idea how I’m going to hide it. I’m already struggling not mentioning my upset stomach and exhaustion.
IDK how you guys are hiding these symptoms. My boss is rarely here (we have 2 offices in 2 states, but only one boss) and I already told DH I'm considering asking if I can go part time (assuming I still work here) after the holidays. I'm also in grad school part time so it would allow me to take more classes (or more in person and less online classes, which I hate).
We told our immediate family this weekend and it was such a relief. It's been hard to keep the secret and explain not drinking.
DH grilled tom on steak on Sunday and it tastes terrible. I pretty much only can handle carbs at the moment. The food aversions are real this time around.
Anyone else getting bloody noses is all the time? I’ve googled it and it seems to be a common symptom of pregnancy but I never hear anyone complaining about it
Any mommas with depression/anxiety? I went off my meds last June in anticipation of this pregnancy and was doing fine, but these hormonal mood swings are knocking me down lately. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm worth eating what I want, I'm worth a treat, I'm worth being comfortable, etc.
Remember when I gagged and retched in the bathroom at work for 5 minutes this morning? So fun..
@basemodel I have anxiety. I haven't been taking my medication for it but have been doing okay. I would call your OB and let them know you're struggling with this. They can review what is safe to be on. You could also call your mental health prescriber to discuss this as well. You're mental well being is important to your pregnancy.
@doxiemoxie212 Had 'em with my last pregnancy. I had a super dry, uncomfy nose in general. <TMI> On a related note, my nostrils were also WRECKED after I gave birth. I have no idea why, but they were all scabby and crusted up and awful. </TMI> I hope you are not similarly afflicted!
