@ShawnnaO Thank you. Weeks like this I’m so thankful that my job causes me to be away from my phone and a computer for long stretches throughout the day. It forces me to take a break and give myself some space.

I just get stressed when it seems like the new Knottie could be a troll/intentionally baiting people into making a scene, and then someone gives in with like... genuine anger. The most recent one had a dramatic narrative that *could* have been authentic, but could have been calling for someone to make a judgmental comment that could be whined about elsewhere.
(Admittedly, 7 years of teaching high school probably makes a little too sensitive to anticipating a fight at any moment :-p)
@gh515 I totally hate when someone's just trying to create drama and people actually get their feelings hurt. Kind of felt that way about the most recently closed June thread...
@gh515 yeah the most recent one had me walking on eggshells a little bit. I *almost* responded because I felt bad for the girl but then a part of me felt like I had read a similar story at the beginning of this BMB and I just thought “if this is the same girl and she’s just coming back to get more simpathy...pass.” I guess she hasn’t even logged back on to check the responses though so I’m not sure what to think.
Ugh. Had parent/teacher conferences today so I was at school for 12.5 hrs. I learned that one kid thinks I'm "chill." Hoping that's a good thing... And one student really likes me as a teacher - and I had this kid's brother in class two years ago and was pretty sure he hated me. So I'm calling it a win.

Okay. Now the app doesn't work on my phone at all. I have tried updating, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. Nothing will make it work, so I got rid of it. I am super-sad, because I don't own a computer. I am borrowing one at the moment. This really blows, because I like you guys and really wanted to be a part of this group.
@HappyMonkey817 I haven't tried it, so can't attest either way, but is the mobile website version of the site from a browser on your phone also terrible?
I'm sorry the app is such a beast. I don't have it, but the only things I read on this board about it is its wretchedness. I hope you find a way to make it work! Your absence this week was a notable loss.
I would like to thank me from 2015 for getting a major project out of the way in anticipation that it would be requested at some point. That point happened to be today, in 2017, two years later with zero recollection of having done it, but so happy to open my file and see that I did. Merry Christmas! 2015 me was such a kind and thoughtful and generous person! I love 2015 me!!!

No one has to agree with anyone 100 percent of the time, and lawwwwwd knows I find myself on the losing end of arguments more than I'd care to be. Totally random... just realized I've had my dress on backwards all day long. Couldn't figure out why it felt like it fit differently than the last time I wore it. Just now figured it out with an hour and a half left in my work day.
@heatherdubrow I somehow missed pages 2 and 3 of last weeks UO so I had no idea what you are talking about until I just went back and read it. Without getting into it the whole thing I still feel like you said nothing wrong and hope you do not continue to be distant. I'm sure it's water under the bridge for most everyone here. You always give support and for you to decrease or even cease your participation would be a loss to our community. (Sorry, I'm usually better spoken but I am really tired today. Today I found out that me, one coworker, and another coworker's partner are all due in March. I am super amused (and thankfully we're all in different departments, lol).
AFM: I got some grocery shopping done, picked up a prescription, washed our "lounge" blankets (no more dog smell!), and am making chicken in the instant pot to shred and freeze. Feeling pretty accomplished. Just trying not to look at the folders of tests I have to grade.

We had DS's birthday party today, announced baby #3's sex, and now I'm working hard to not eat the leftovers...pizza from last night, egg bakes, bagels, and cake from today. This is seriously testing my willpower!
@ShawnnaO what are you using for paint? We'll do that with DD b/c she hates the "guts" of the pumpkin, and probably for DS just to avoid us having to carve his, too. I don't want to put them outside in rain if it's just going to wash off though. Any ideas??
