@nikky8 I felt nauseous and was constantly heaving but wasn't actually sick until week 8. The last week she have been worse in terms of that, plus indigestion & heartburn. So hanging out for tri 2.. I really enjoy all my good poops, I never know if it will be good, diarrhoea-ish or constipation. Changes everything time!
Severe heartburn every night has set in, any tips to relieve this??
Best cure is to give birth. Also, make tums their own food group. I would pregame with mint tums and chase each meal with another one. Best of luck to you
I finally bothered to double check my Dr's orders that indeed I am stopping all my oral pills, morning injection and vaginal suppository overnight! I'm so excited!! I realise some of you have kids... but we don't and I've spent months waking up at 6:30-7:30am just to have an injection, I cannot wait for the sleep in and not have the gush of vaginal liquid leaking all night (feeling like I'm peeing myself all night) I hope there is a chance some symptoms might decrease since I'm stopping these hormones. I can dream...
@mmb4532 Check with your OB to see whether you can take Zantac. It was the ONLY thing that worked for me with my last pregnancy, and it seems to helping with both nausea and heartburn this time, too.

This is what I had to during 3rd tri because I would legit be crying at 11 pm from heartburn. It was a game changer.
Not a symptom, but anyone else find that sitting like this for more than 5 seconds is basically a no go already? Sometimes I need to sit forward like this with one of the kids and then my body is like "nope, you're growing a human, please sit in a more awkward position". And yes, I find the stock photo funny, but it's the only easy way to describe the position. If you're bored later today, Google "sitting forward" images. It's pretty funny.
@suchaglencoco Yes!!! My girls wanted me to help them put their shoes on yesterday, and I made them lay on the couch and put their feet on my lap because it was so uncomfortable to sit that way and bend over. I also find it oddly uncomfortable to sit up from a laying position already, too. It's so much easier to turn on my side and sit up that way, which I feel like didn't happen until much further along with my last pregnancy. Just using those lower ab muscles isn't fun for me, and then I feel ridiculous because you can't tell I'm pregnant by looking at me.

I find sitting in any position too long uncomfortable, at this point i all i want to do is lay in bed or on the couch all day. luckily today is a wfh home day so i may do just that once i get the kiddo off to my sisters.
Oh thank goodness, definitely thought maybe I was broken, haha. I know 2nd, 3rd, etc time moms tend to grow and show faster. I'm wondering if moms of previous multiples grow a little faster than that because our bodies are overcomepensating for the one baby thinking it's 2 again.
@suchaglencoco That's an interesting question. When I was at my midwife appointment a few weeks ago, I was telling her of my severe anxiety over having twins again, and basically begging for a quick US just to check. She told me during the bi-manual exam that I was "slightly bigger" than expected, but not big enough to suspect twins again. So I guess it makes sense!

@mmb4532 I'm a little late to the game, and I swear everyone on this board is probably sick to death of hearing this from me, but orange sherbet was my life blood with the heartburn. Just a spoonful or 2 would kill it. I have a major issue with sugar/sweet stuff making me nauseous, but the sherbet was juuuust sweet enough that it didn't bother me and the little bit of citrus makes it cool and crisp and soothing.
Eventually I'll stop pushing the sherbet, I promise! lol

The twin stretching theory seems plausible to me! If second, third, plus moms show quicker because they're bodies are already stretched out, it would make sense that a twin moms body is that much more stretched out
I have noticed I can't suck in my stomach as much as normal, although so far my jeans are still doing up fine. My weight seems to fluctuate from day to day, I thought I was gaining and then I weigh myself again a couple days later and I am down. The first trimester is so crazy, some days I "feel" pregnant and other days not at all.
@nikky8 mine didn't hit until week 8 or so really bad. I was all "yeah yeah I'm fine" at my appointment at 8 weeks and the next day couldn't handle anything. I'd had really bad food aversions and smell reactions but nausea was minimal til that point. Luckily at 9w5d I'm feeling a lot better already! I even felt hungry for the first time yesterday so it was awesome to feel that! What I've noticed while stalking the threads is that if it hits late it tends to go away faster too so I'm thinking we may be some of the lucky ones?
I am hoping you are right. A couple hours after I threw up I ate lots of pizza, so I bounced back pretty quick!
@ladystinson@nikky8 I'm currently eating rainbow sherbet out of the container and have no plans of stopping anytime soon. I sent my husband out to get Flinstone push pops but I'm not sure they exist anymore. But this is better tbh

I took Zantac last pregnancy too. I'm actually allergic to Tums.

@suchaglencoco yes to the sitting! We sat in a high school auditorium today and I was so fucking uncomfortable. But I had extra weight in the beginning and it is being pushed out so far by my STM uterus. I'm also short to boot, so it's just all going out.
Thanks ladies! I picked up some tums today and calling my doctor tomorrow to ask about Zantac. Everything is giving me heartburn, my PB and J sandwich and apple at lunch did today! It hurts so terribly, it's making my nausea worse too. I'm going to try the sherbet too! Thanks ladies!

This. I put up with awful heartburn for nearly my entire last pregnancy and it was NOT worth it. By 30 weeks it was so bad that my ears hurt and my throat was chronically irritated. I finally went on Zantac and it helped so much.
So, I think I already have a fucking hemorrhoid. Is this possible? I had this at the end of my last pregnancy not the first trimester! Not cool. Alternately, I actually didn’t feel like a heaping pile of shit all day. I had... energy and although I didn’t eat much I wasnt constantly nauseous either. Amazing.
@PocoHR. Yeah.... I had one at the END of my first pregnancy and low and behold a day of constipation angered the old friend at week 8 this time. My veggie/fiber intake is improving so it's disappeared again. But yes, bullshit, right?!
@sarahjean177, @thunderberry. Not sure if someone else already suggested this, but cinnamon toothpaste has now saved my life with first and present pregnancy. Someone else on another post mentioned an orange flavored toothpaste and kid toothpastes come in other flavors (Toms). Game Changer. In fact, I used my old mint tube the other day bc my cinnamon tube was upstairs. Had to run outside and deep breathe to keep from vomiting. No problems ever w cinnamon.
Wow. This post was quite long to be about toothpaste.

@fraufarbissina sadly, the flintstones push ups are gone They were the best, I hate raspberry anything and even the raspberry ones were amazing. But! A lot of gas stations, convenience stores, etc that have single ice creams (like the good humor bars and such) will still have the orange ones! No other flavors, but I'll take it! Also, I feel like your post about eating the rainbow sherbet out of the container was implying that it "should" be done a different way... blasphemy! lol
@nanifrog I have always loved it, but this pregnancy has turned it into life! I seriously may change my s/n to that.... thats kind of amazing! thanks!

I almost passed out in the shower this morning. It was scary af! I crawled to my bed because my legs gave out!! Luckily I had an appointment this morning and she said it's pretty normal to get light headed and even faint during pregnancy but it's still scary.
@curleemama32 I've had faintness in the shower too, it is so scary! Although mine wasn't nearly as bad as yours. I don't normally notice much dizziness but whenever I close my eyes to shampoo or whatever suddenly I am wobbling like a bowling pin.
@lincbeesmom probably a new one is a good idea. I nominate you to start it!
