  • @spottedginger. I love those inflatables!  H , in the other hand, does not. What did you get and where is your H?

@offtoneverland. Eff no to the rats. They are sick.  Did you enjoy the city?
  • @jrm_14 We did! I was supposed to go to the UK for a work conference last month but it was cancelled. Ever since I've been craving fish and chips. So tonight DH took me to an Irish pub and I got a hard cider to go along with my fish and chips. yum!

  • @spottedginger. I vote for Minnie. All the way.
  • @jrm_14 now you have to tell us.
  • @spottedginger. No judgement from me towards him. I think it is pretty important to his career to keep that under wraps, though. I guess one could argue, then, he shouldn’t do it if it’s that important. Meh, his choice.
  • @jrm_14 yeah. It is just a level of awkward for the wife to bust out with that.

I’m still worried for your safety
  • @spottedginger. Did I miss if you have a timeline to move from TTA to TTC?
  • @Augusta108 I won’t! Just trying to figure out the etiquette.. do I leave it on 24/7? Unplug it when I’m at work or at night?
  • @spottedginger, ooh, I’m not sure. We’re still apartment dwellers so I’ve never gotten to have an inflatable decoration of my own!
  • @spottedginger. My neighbors with the 8ft black cat turn it on in the evening and unplug it before bed.
  • @Augusta108. One of the most exciting things I looked forward to when we bought our home was handing out Halloween candy!
  • @jrm_14 I’m hoping to move to actively TTC in Decemberish. Will depend on husband’s work travel and fertile windows...
  • @spottedginger. Yay!  Super exciting!  I’m glad you come out to play on TTGP more often lately!!
  • @jrm_14 Yes! We met more neighbors last year on Halloween than the previous 9 months here combined. It was a lot of fun! Do y’all get a good crowd?
  • @jsnakehole glad you got to treat yourself. Sounds like a successful therapy session.
  • @jsnakehole. Whoa!  That sounds like some serious retail therapy!  I was thinking to myself this evening that I wish I could shop my worries away like I did when I was single.  Off to google tarte tatin.
  • @jrm_14 thanks! I try to be respectful and sensitive because there have been a couple discussions about when people belong in BOTB vs here and I don’t want to rub people the wrong way or disrespect established board culture. I just love the ladies here.

@SkilledSailor. Yes!  Two years ago, or first year here, we had 250+ kids. Last year wasn’t quite as many, though still about 200. Do you get many?

ETA:  how was your work event today?
  • @jsnakehole. I read somewhere that the many cats are not actually impacted by catnip. My sister had a cat that was a total asshole. He even peed in her wedding dress in true asshat fashion.
  • @jrm_14 Did he pee on the dress before or after the wedding? That's awful! Glad you had a nice dinner tonight, apart from the awkward moment...
@Augusta108 @spottedginger A house near us has like 30 inflatables and I get so sad seeing them during the day. I think one or two deflated ones during the day is fine, but tons of them is just depressing. Like a little cemetery for broken lawn toys.
@spottedginger I agree with @jrm_14...get the Minnie mouse inflatable too!

  • @offtoneverland. After, thank goodness. That cat would attack you out of nowhere. He was a jerk face. And um glad you agree that when doubt, but another inflatable
  • @jrm_14 We don’t get nearly as many! Maybe 100. The market was good! We got everything we went for and only went over budget a wee bit and finally found bar stools for ourselves.

@jsnakehole Your shopping spree sounds amazing!!

Yalls cat stories remind me why I’m a dog person, haha
  • @spottedginger I want one of those inflatables too but I don’t think DH is into. Maybe next year I’ll convince him...

@jsnakehole I also had a cat that was oddly not interested in catnip, or really anything for that matter. He was fairly large and lazy. Also, I am so jealous of your retail therapy! I just bought a few things from this really great online boutique called One Loved Babe. Highly recommend that site ladies!

@jrm_14 I can’t believe you had that many trick-or-treaters! I love giving out candy but it seems like each year we get less and less kids coming around. And we’re in a nice residential area so I don’t get it. I think I went through one bag of candy last year.

@SkilledSailor total dog person here too! We had a cat years ago when we were in an apartment and it just destroyed so much stuff!
  • Bahaha, latest terrible "horror" movie watched the Babysitter, another Netflix original. It is so bad it's hilarious. I just about pee'd myself laughing. Super bloody/gory over the top ridiculous.

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts I will add that to my list!
  • @offtoneverland @jrm_14 I haven’t set it up yet but am going to try to carve out time. It is a mickey dressed up as a vampire. I realize now as I look at the box that is it only 3.5 feet tall. Maybe I should go back and get the Minnie too.

He is on an elk hunt in the Rocky Mountains.
    Do iT!!!!

  • I set up Mickey and Minnie. I had envisioned them as being a bit bigger but that’s ok. I got them all ready to go just as it started to rain so no pics.
  • @darkstar42 My H was just asking me about watching that! I'm partly fascinated by the concept and partly terrified. It's still likely to be our next binge so I'm glad to hear you're liking it.
