I'm working days today (7-7pm) so I don't have to go with DH to bring the camper out to his sisters place. Nights tomorrow, painter is coming to give us a quote for DD's bedroom and baby's room. Plus before we left for Disney my husbands suitcase rolled down the stairs and put a hole in the wall so we need him to paint that wall too.

It's DH's and my anniversary this weekend, so we are driving down to the Southern Rocky Mountains for the weekend to see fall colors, Mesa Verde, Durango... it'll be an exciting weekend! I can't wait to have a little getaway.
Today we are going to the orchard to pick pumpkins, green beans, squash, and hopefully apples! I love having a place that we can go get fresh fruits and veggies. Sunday is the k9 trials which I'm hoping to go to at least half of it. Police agencies from all of come and they have an agility and obedience competition, and there is also a portion on Saturday that isn't open to the public for the bomb/drug dogs.
@jenniferjoy37 that sounds like a beautiful and lovely anniversary!
I need to finish up some work and take care of some bills. We are supposed to hang w friends but theyve cancelled twice before already so not holding my breath. Otherwise more organizing the baby/guest room!
Nothing much here. I have a volunteer obligation this afternoon with DDs taekwondo club but I love that stuff. DH and I are going to a silent auction tonight for DDs old school and that is usually pretty fun and I generally get some good stuff there. Last year I got some brand new adult Bogs there for $40, which is a pretty decent price for those in Canada at least

DH is studying all weekend so I’m doing laundry and Netflix and hopefully I can come up with some fun things to do with DS since the weather is really nice. Trying to snag my best friend to go do something with her baby since her DH is gone for drill this weekend, but she’s hard to get out of the house so we’ll see. I just need some real life adult interaction....getting a little stir crazy

Wasting away watching karate this morning. Then I hope to sleep bc the ninja in my uterus keeps me up half the night these days. Might take the kids to six flags tomorrow. That’s a big might.
It’s cold out (-8C) so I still haven’t managed to drag myself out of bed. I’m starving though. Really need to keep snacks in the room!
Hubby gets home from work at supper time tonight so I probably will do a quick tidy of the house to cover my tracks of being stupidly lazy while he was gone this week. Hahaha. That’s about it.
Diaper laundry and visiting my parents today. (My poor dad was in the hospital for a few days earlier in the week so will be nice to see them) I think we may also go to Costco. Then I work days tomorrow - blah. Lol weekends are always busy around here!
i really hope DS sleeps better tonight. He was up hollering for like 2 hours last night, wouldn't go back to sleep until DH snuggles him on the bedroom floor lmao. I need my sleep! Don't like this random night waking that has been going on
DH is at work doing an inventory so I am getting some work done myself. It's a busy time of year and I have a lot to get done before I go on maternity leave in early February.
@jenniferjoy37 happy anniversary! @smorzandoj let me know how 6 flags goes, that place tires me out not pregnant! @babybro218 yay for propriety boarding!
My 10 year olds birthday sleepover party is tonight, so I'm prepping for that while still trying to finish our dining room floors. I've already been to a soccer game this morning, and tomorrow we are hopping to go apple picking if its not raining.
It's a "get shit done" kind of weekend! All the little lingering outdoor projects we've been meaning to get done all summer (painting the trim around the front door, hanging window boxes, etc) can finally get done before the cold weather moves in in a few weeks for good. I'm weirdly excited for our very non-exciting weekend!
DS had swimming lessons this morning. And then a quick trip to wholesale to pick up supplies for our volleyball tournament next weekend. Hubby is away all weekend hunting so it will be a lazy low key weekend!
I have freelance writing that is due Monday, so I'll be on my couch writing all weekend. I'm annoyed as the contact I was supposed to interview refused to do anything but answer questions via email, and she simply copied and pasted the same answers half the time, or directed me to this one page on her website with little to no information. The piece is supposed to be about the expansion and renovations of a building for a construction magazine, but I can't go into any detail on the actual construction, materials used, etc., since she gave me no details to go on. I'm just really hoping my editor understands when I submit a total fluff piece.
Sorry... that kind of turned into a vent.
Other than that, I'm hoping to get some cleaning/organizing done, as our place is a disaster. Even DH commented on how messy it was, and for him to notice...
DH and I took DD to a local festival this morning. It was SO hot though we didn't make it long. Naturally her favorite part was taking the bus to and from the festival. I'm sure everyone loved hearing her sing "round and round" "up and down" "shh shh shhhh". It was cute though.
Tomorrow we are going to look at a few houses. I'm so tired of being at my parents house already. They're super great but I hate having to wear pants and a bra every day.
It's my high school reunion weekend and it has been more fun than I thought would be possible without drinking. Last event is tonight and it's cocktail attire which will be fun to dress up for.
Spent the morning working with cattle—I am exhausted this afternoon. Tomorrow DH is watching DS and I am going shopping with my MIL and SIL’s. I’m hoping for the best...
Oh and since we bought a new couch last week, DH is selling our current ones via craigslist. They're here picking it up now..... even though our new couches wont arrive til halloween. So guess we will be chilling picnic style in the living room for a couple weeks.
Maybe its an UO but Im always super nervous about selling anything on craigslist, too. Dont want them to come back and do anything crazy!

If she's anything like my MIL I'll be praying for you.
@clc515 I am always nervous about selling something online! We’re trying to sell a dryer so we can’t meet at a neutral location as it doesn’t fit in our vehicle. We made arrangements with this woman and she told us she was on her way so we gave her our address. She never showed up and never responded to any of our messages after that. It was right before the long weekend so we were super sketched out that maybe she was just casing our house or something.
DH went to a friend's birthday party yesterday and drank way too much and threw up in my SUV when I picked him up to drive home.... We are almost 30... He should know better and I'm having no sympathy for his hangover from hell and the fact that he now has to clean my car (I cleaned up most of it already) and scrub the shower which he also threw up in. He said he is going to make sure this never happens again and my response was well no shit! We have a 2 year old and I'm pregnant I'm not going to be taking care of a drunk man child who can't keep track of how many drinks he has had so this doesn't happen.... smh. He never goes out and I was so happy that he had the chance to go and have fun, but damn! Use your brain!
@mamaof5already we can’t go. My big child is in a bipolar cycle of disaster today. My SO who runs a unit in a hospital got called in last night and didn’t get home until 8am so he needs to sleep and I can’t take the younger one with SO sleeping while the older is going nuts (for lack of a better word).
Little on earth and I are rearranging furniture in the dining room and then going to paint some sun catchers instead.
I went to a friend's house yesterday, she had what she calls a "soup party," for which she makes a few soups, people bring breads, and we get to eat and chat. I was enjoying catching up with everyone but had to leave to come home to take out the dogs.* Here's my convo: Me: I have to go soon. Mildly annoying friend: What for?!?! Me: I need to go to Trader Joe's then take out the dogs. Friend: And I thought MY life was boring! And I have three kids! (Who weren't there, btw, bc she and her husband have an au pair and barely take care of their own kids)
So Trader Joe's is boring now??? That's completely inaccurate. But this is a woman who prides herself on how often she still parties despite having kids and I'm like "yeah, I'll be happy to stay home and take care of my own baby, actually."
*And I needed to get home for the dogs because one of them ate all the muffins I made for the party and I was afraid they would be in dire intestinal distress if I stayed too long and need to go out.
Today I made beer bread and cookies just because. That's my weekend

@eggplantface That’s rude, TJs is the least boring grocery store too! Also I really want to go to a soup party...that sounds like a party I’d actually like! Haha

I decided to run errands this morning while DH watched the kids so I could get my Monday to do list started ASAP Monday morning. After dealing with the Sunday Target crowd, grocery shopping crowd, and Sunday drivers, I’m reminded of why I don’t usually do these things on the weekends.
I just took my DS public skating for the first time. And of course I fell. Super slow motion and onto my butt but super embarrassing! I've played hockey since I was little but I guess carrying around a 25lb toddler and having my centre of gravity messed with being pregnant threw me off. So I won't be going skating again unless DH is there to help our little guy! Not worth the risk carrying him and falling. Two kiddos to keep safe!
I spent the morning putting together 2 night tables and cleaning up after the dog, who spent the morning taking apart his bed and the boxes from the night tables. I spent the rest of the day food shopping and reorganizing our closets. DH came home from a family guys’ weekend and immediately started asking why other things weren’t done. He was almost the recipient of a throat punch, but I’m too tired.
Well, as the weekend ends, here’s what we did. Friday night and Saturday morning I spent 85% of the time putting the finishing touches on getting us ready for Vienna and Prague. We arrived in Vienna at 1:30pm (local time, 7:30am EST). We did some sight seeing this evening and now I am laying in a bubble back because I couldn’t sleep through DH’s snores. I just downloaded some white noise apps I’m about to test and then try to get some more shut eye (it’s 1:30am now). Hope the rest of you had a great weekend!
I worked all weekend. I told my boss I would cover his Saturday night shift and boy was that a mistake!
I didn’t get home til 3 am last night because I had to kick an entire wedding party out of my bar for being drunk and had to deal with the aftermath. Three men got in my face and became hostile to the point that my bartender had to jump in and push them away from me. I’m too pregnant for this shit.
Why do women think that on their wedding day they can go around and say I’m the bride and they are just magically supposed to get what they want? I felt a little ping of satisfaction cutting her off because DH was waiting outside to pick me up and the bride fell in a puddle and got mud on half her dress.
We had a nice, mostly relaxing weekend. I'm not too ready to be back at work tomorrow. I'm glad to have lunches prepped for this week because I've been struggling with what to bring with me and have ended up eating out too much. Most of the chores are done around the house too. We got DS's haircut today so he's all set for school pictures on Tuesday. And we've ordered his Halloween costume. Now I'll just be counting down the days until next weekend when we go out to the orchards and pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins and cider & donuts.
