I unfortunately do not have a great support network, but after my ex husband left me 3 days after i found out i was pregnant last time I have learned i am pretty dang capable and I love being a mom. I have liver disease so i suspect its affecting my digestion/absorption and i will not be using bcp in the future.
@notaknottie912 maybe find an in person support group in your area to meet some other women in the same boat? And obviously you have all of us ladies to turn to!
@notaknottie912 ~ That is tough. I am sorry. But I can tell (and I think you know this already!) that you are a tough cookie too! You can do this
Definately reach out and see if you can find a local support group. It will help to know you are not alone and be able to build a tribe of local Mommas going through the same stuff. And as stated above, we are here too!
@notaknottie912 Ditto to what all the others ladies said above about your sitch. You are a strong capable woman, but definitely having other women & men around who can support you emotionally & physically will make this experience that much better!
@notaknottie912 We are here for you. I'm sorry your partner isn't supportive. I like the suggestion of an IRL support group. You sound like Wonder Woman to me, but it's always nice to have a real life shoulder to lean on every once in a while!
I have a pretty good female friend who seems to always get pregnant 1 to 3 weeks before me. She's great. Support is in surprising areas, like a lot of AA groups will have other types of meetings like dysfunctional families and women rape survivor groups too. Ive been to a few in the past but I am feeling pretty sure of myself this time around. Thanks everyone.
