Re: Randoms 9/26

  • Oh no @meatballs37! Sorry to hear that! How does one even stay in bed rest with a LO at home?  It seems impossible. Does that mean you can't pick her up either?

Best of luck on bed rest @meatballs37. I can't even imagine doing great with a little one at home. How are you planning on doing it? Do you have help coming?
I'm just not supposed to stand for long periods of time or large amounts of walking for right now. So basically I'm house bound. Luckily DD is walking. So I only have to lift her out of her crib. And she plays independently. So I get to sit lots. My MIL plans on coming over to watch her for all my appointments, which is so nice. Especially since I have about 1-2 a week now between the regular OB, cardiologist, and MFM. DH is also taking over grocery shopping, laundry, and caring for DD in the evenings and on weekends. Bless his heart.

  • Do you know how long you are on bed rest @meatballs37?

Until the babies are born. :( it isn't complete bed rest though. I'm still able to get up and move around. But no walking for long periods of time, outings, or standing for a long time. So my job as a lab tech is out. I'm hoping by following this, my cervix doesn't shorten anymore and I won't have a stricter bed rest order. I'm also debating on seeing if we can get a wheel chair to go out on the weekends. Nothing crazy. Just church and maybe target.

  • @meatballs37 just catching up on this thread now. Sending prayers and well wishes to you and the babies. Being home bound for weeks can be hard, I hope you have a good support system with friends that can drop by, and grocery delivery for those days your husband needs a break! Do you craft, crochet, knit or anything?

Thank you. I don't. But I am going to start blogging next week. It's the only thing I could think of to keep my mind busy, but also keeping an eye on my toddler.
