I have bad varicose veins on my legs and now I discovered them on my vag. They are on one side, super swollen and little achy. My sister had them bad and assures me they will get more painful as baby grows Can't wait!

Since my Dr recommended probiotics (recurring, super annoying yeast infections) it has an added bonus of keeping my bowel movements regular. Can't complain about that
Hi. I need to vent. I am so uncomfortable for only being 23 weeks. Pelvic pain is already starting. This was the worst side effect of all last time.
My belly feels HUGE and the unwelcome body comments are starting to be more frequent.
The worst, though, is I'm SO sensitive! I feel like I'm about to cry every 5 seconds. Between family stuff/drama, intense work pressure, and just general sads about the world/state of affairs/hurricane devastation, I'm just so moody and sad all the time.
This morning it all just hit me like I need to do something about this feeling. So I thought I would share.
@phillymommax2 I had so many yeast infection during my last pregnancy that my OB just gave me a prescription for Diflucan and I had all the refills on them so I didn't have to come in and see her.
@supercoolstephy I'm praying I get Diflucan. I had one in the first trimester and she had me take Monistat which is torture! I was hoping Diflucan is safe after the first trimester. I'm waiting for a call back.

@RC1014 I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed with a number of things myself. I haven't been crying (except during This is Us lol) but if I sit down and just think about things, I *feel* on the verge of tears.
@RC1014 I've also had pelvic pain start up in the past few days, so I feel you there. I don't recall it happening with my son, though I did remember laying on the floor with a heating pad to deal with lower back pain, and the two seem to be coming hand-in-hand this time around. I probably just forgot, lol.
Also: expressing that you've been overtaken by sadness/moodiness is often the first and hardest step to dealing with it. And it sounds like you have a ton going on right now, not to mention being pregnant. It might be worth talking over with your care provider; they might have some self-care tips they'd recommend for it, or be able to tell if it's a more serious issue with depression.
Thanks ladies. I'm going to see my acupuncturist this afternoon and I plan to share with her! My OB is kind of unresponsive and quick to normalize any symptoms I share. Not that she's insensitive but she just sees it in a very black and white way like "Yup, normal! Hormones!" when I want more of a touchy-feely huggy response. I'm going to dinner at my moms without DD tomorrow and looking forward to some extra attention there. I just need a hug I think. Lol.
@RC1014 I agree with mentioning it to your doctor and also with upping your self-care routine. We have a lot going on in our life too, and what helps me the most is journaling daily. I follow the moon cycles and pay close attention to what comes up as the moon moves through the signs and phases (other planets too but mostly the moon). That said, astrology isn't everyone's cup of tea. Walks might be yours, or dancing it out (a la Grey's Anatomy) or yoga, or long hot showers or a nice bubble bath. I also notice that I feel more stable when I'm mindful of my diet. Sugar highs and crashes (for me) contribute to mood swings in a big way. I would also encourage you to let the overwhelm out. Yell, punch a pillow, ugly cry. Being strong and resilient and getting through the struggles doesnt mean you can't express the emotions that come up. Big hugs hun!!
AFM, I've been having a lot of hip and lower back pain as my main symptom. I've been seeing a chiropractor once a month and I can definitely tell when I need another adjustment! Sugar cravings are the worst right now too...horrible timing with all those damn Reeses pumpkins taunting me everywhere. Lol.
@phillymommax2 I've been using Monistat 7 otc or a cream that my Dr Rx'd (can't remember the name of it but starts with a T). I've suffered most of the 2nd tri with this issue and I think the combo of the cream and probiotics has made the biggest difference so I definitely recommend probiotics (otc pills and some yogurt has it). My OB said I need a lot of probiotics in my system to help balance out the ph imbalance causing the yeast infections since my system is all out of whack. She also recommended Kombucha since it has a lot of probiotics but that drink is a very, uhh, acquired taste that I am not a fan of
I'm also on the hip and back pain train. My supervisor is recommending me for an ergonomic desk assessment because the pain in my hips is bad enough during the work day that I struggle to get anything done.
I am SUCH a proponent of daily probiotics. I have ulcerative colitis (I have talked about it on here before), so I KNOW bowel issues, and probiotics keeps things running so smoothly. Plus, I attribute so many other aspects of my good health to my daily probiotic intake!
I second what @cyanope said! I know I've mentioned taking probiotics here too for my IBS, and I used to get yeast infections often before but never again once starting daily probiotics
I think the craziest symptom that I wasn't expecting is my hair. I thought it would be full and lush like everyone says, but my hair is falling out like crazy and it's so dry! I usually have really greasy hair. After 24 hours my hair is covered in grease, so much so that if I take my hair out of a pony tail it'll stay in that same shape because of how oily it is. DH calls it helmet hair haha. Anyways, I haven't needed to wash my hair everyday now, after 24 hours it still looks like it did the day before! Crazy!
@gilsam1 my hair is falling out also! With DS it didn't until postpartum which is also when I found out I had a major thyroid issue. The volume of loss post partum was way more, but this is still annoying. Showering seems to take forever because I'm pulling gobs of loose hair out.
The pelvic pain has come in with a vengence this week! I feel like I have constantly pulled my groin muscles when walking and in general just feel like my pelvis is going to rip in half... So uncomfortable!! No major swelling yet so that is my upside.
I brought a seat cushion (miracle bamboo cushion that I got at bed bath and beyond) to work today to help with the lower back pain and tail bone pain from sitting in small hard chairs that are child size. I'm even using it with my desk chair. It has been amazing!!!
I finally felt the babies kick last night! I had felt some "flips and flops" and strong flutters, but last night i placed my hand on one side, and felt a kick! This morning I felt one from the other twin. DH felt one, but was kind of weirded out....he felt like pressing down slightly was going to crush them!
@gilsam1 - my hair is not as oily too, I wish it would stay that way.
@RC1014, how have you been sleeping? I found myself feeling unusually sad and overwhelmed by life last week. Have been forcing myself to sleep more the past couple days and think it's helping.
Ugh, I've randomly had a return of the 1st tri nausea today. As soon as it's been three hours since my last meal, I feel like I'm going to puke. Makes me worried about weight gain, I'm already up 20 pounds

I'm adding a probiotic back in and starting an immune boosting regimen because I'm a little nervous about having a "buttcrack of winter" baby.
