Got my first few appointments scheduled. 9/29 is my first visit with the NP, as well as a dating and viability scan. Then I see my OB on the 3rd of November. I may have some appointments in between depending on how things look on the 29th - I'm high risk.
Ive been having beta and progesterone draws this week. My RE will probably do an ultrasound when I get back from vacation which will make me almost 8w. Hopefully she will transfer me to my OB at that point....I love him so much.
I may call my OB now though to get the ball moving for pre-auth for genetic testing though. We will see.
Have to wait a whole month! Will be 7.5 so it makes sense, just impatient. Will see OB and have ultrasound... I've only seen this OB once, but more than likely I will switch to a midwife after touring birth centers. Just anxious to get started!
Had my appointment moved to 10/6 from 10/17. #1 I'm impatient. #2 pretty sure I had to take extra iron last pregnancy and I am just ridiculously exhausted so I called to find out if they would want to do blood work earlier.

I just had my first appointment today. I went in expecting to had blood drawn, but they don't do that until the first ultrasound, which has been scheduled for the 10th. I'll be around 10 weeks. He offered to go ahead and do the blood draw and u/s today when I asked him when they did the blood tests, but I decided to wait so DH can see, too. It was so tempting, though!!
I love my new doctor, btw. The one when I had DD was very old school, this one is younger and prefers little interference. Hooray for maybe sticking to my birth plan!

I had my first OB appointment today. Took forever. Didn't check for a heart beat but my cervix is closed and the doc said that I am measuring over 7 weeks. I should be 6weeks and 6 days today. So he said I am measuring ahead. I will have my first U/S Oct. 12th for dating. I have another appointment on the 10th. This one was mainly for confirming pregnancy and getting blood drawn and such.
10/16 here. I could have gone a bit earlier but The Man is a CPA and always has a 10/15 deadline and I didn't want to stress him out about making the appointment. Plus, second child. A few days later doesn't hurt like it would have with the first.

My first appointment is 10/05. I'll be 8w6d. They said to plan on being there for two hours?!?! So different than my last doctor! They'll do an ultrasound and blood work I presume. I can't wait to see the little bean!

@bwow615 I know the wait sucks but I wasn't able to get in until 14 weeks last pregnancy. This one they got me in at 6 weeks and it was nice to see the heartbeat but pointless otherwise. I still have to go back at 10 weeks.

This will be my 3rd baby with the same doctor in the last 10 yrs. I have always gone in it at 10 weeks. This time around, I will be 10 weeks and 3 days. I always thought it was normal. Now I am super jealous of all the ladies getting to see their babies early. October 27th can't come soon enough!

@bwow615 I'm in a similar boat! I just made an appointment with a new doctor and they said they don't usually make the first appointment until around 8 weeks. So we scheduled one for 10/24. But now I'm looking at the calendar, and based on my LMP, I'll be almost 10 weeks at the point. I'm debating calling back and seeing if I can get in 2 weeks earlier. I know it won't make much of a difference but I'm so impatient!!
Had my first u/s and EDD appointment. My due date was officially set at May 8th, which means even with the scheduled csection I should have a May baby!
I had my first appointment today at my new OB office. I'm 9w2d. I did an intake with the NP, exam and blood draw. I got to hear the heartbeat which made me tear up. They took 8 tubes of blood and I ended up passing out in the hallway after. I woke up with 5 nurses and doctors standing over me. I make one hell of a first impression haha!! They were great though so I'm glad I switched. I have an appointment with the doctor 10/11 and the NT ultrasound on 10/17. Can't wait to see this little one!
My first appointment is one week from today! So surreal to get the confirmation email today. I should be 8 weeks and 4 days if I calculated right. SO is coming with me and it sounds like we'll be there for a bit doing paperwork, ultrasound, and meeting with my doctor.
Had my first appointment this morning. EDD is officially May 7th. My ultrasound measured at 8 weeks 2 days which is pretty much right on track based on LMP. They took all of my blood, and I go back again on October 30th.
I'm 5 weeks 5 days here, I have my first phone appointment October 12 and apparently that's when they will order the blood work and we will go over family history. I then have to wait four long weeks until Nov 10 for my first in person appointment, I'll be almost 12 weeks then...is that normal? FTM here, just nervous about everything!
my first appt is Tues! 9am w u/s.. obviously transvaginal, i think ill be 7+1 w EDD of 5/23 based on my tracking. then OB at 930. not fan of the transvag US since ive been spotting the last few days off an on. my cervix is super sensitve with baby2 this time around. then hoping i can schedule my genetics and nuchal screen for 10/31 bc then im gone for work u until 11/8 and off to wdw 11/12 and i wont announce until after a 2nd greenlight scan (superstitous) tomorrow is going to go by so slow i am sure lol

it can be. my practice does first prenatal/ob 7-8 wk to confirm and date and labs. then they schedule NTand genetic screen for 11-13w. so unless you have high risk, issues, or infertility your practice waits till closrr to 12weeks. not uncommon but you can alos check other practices to see if they do things sooner if you arent opppsed to switching.
@AquaPrincess22 I wasn't seen with my first until 13/14 weeks. This one they got me in at 6 weeks. They didn't even do blood work or anything. So I don't have my first "real" appointment until 12 weeks anyways.
First appointment went well today and I got a really quick ultrasound and get another next week! She said I appear to be measuring on track but next week will be the dating. She pointed out the beating heart but we didn't get to hear it yet. Now DH keeps smiling and saying "my little sea horse." I think today made it real for him.
We finally had our appointment with the doctor! We measured 8 weeks 2 days, so just a few days behind the dating according to the app. I guess I'm due on my 28th birthday ! We were able to her the heartbeat and see the ultrasound! The doctor doesn't want to see us again until the 12th week, is this standard? What should we expect to happen then?
@futuremrshay Totally normal. At first your appointments will be 4 weeks apart, assuming everything is proceeding normally. Expect to pee in a cup, get weight and BP checked, doppler for heartbeat, and Q&A with your care provider.
We finally had our first appointment. Took 2 LONG hrs. My OB does the first ultrasound rather than the tech and she couldnt get the baby to cooperate because my uterus kept hiding so I had to wait for the ultrasound tech to squeeze me in. Then the tech took a few minutes and was like everything looks fine. The picture is even horrible it just looks like a blob.
Had first appointment today, wasn't sure what to expect, but only had me provide urine sample to "confirm" and had a regular exam, they said they don't do anything more until 12 weeks. I have a retroverted uterus, so my doc couldn't feel it well, so they're having me go in next week for a dating US. They gave me an EDD of 5/19, but I know my cycle is longer and know when I ovulated, so it's 5/22 based off that.
