First Appointments

When are your first appointments?

I have a phone appointment tomorrow (Wednesday), and I suspect I will get my first scheduled (ultrasound) appointment during that preliminary phone call. I am also hoping to use the midwives provided by hospital this time around (I went the Ob / NP route the first time). Looking forward to the future!

I went to take a pregnancy test in the doctor's office last Friday and my first appointment isn't until 9/29.  I am bummed because it is going to be with the NP instead of my regular OB and it just seems so far away.  I was thinking of calling them to see if there is anyway I can come in a littler earlier and/or see my regular doctor.

My first appointment will be on 9/8. My office does appointments at six weeks which seems to be early. Most people I have talked to seem to go closer to eight weeks. Hopefully all goes well, I always get nervous in the beginning!

I have my annual with my OBGYN on the 5th, and I haven't told them yet. So I'm hoping I can stick with that date.

I have my first appointment on Aug 30th and l will get an ultrasound too.

They won't even schedule me until I'm a week late,  even though I've already gotten a (4) positive tests.   Im using a new OB this time so that I can deliver at a hospital with the special care nursery,  jic i have another healthy preemie.

My first appointment isn't until 10/4 because they were too busy to get me in at 8 weeks. I should get an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy then as this had been their past practice. I'm seeing my OB since I'll be a CS but saw the midwives my first pregnancy and loved them!

I have my first appointment with ultrasound on 9/20, seems so far away  

getting my betas done this week.

I called today and moved my appointment to the 18th.

I'll get an early ultrasound once my betas reach 2000 because I have a history of ectopic. I'll probably have that US next Thursday because my 14dpo beta on Monday was 347.

My first appointment will be Sept 22.  My OB likes you to have missed 2 periods before you see them.

I need to schedule my first appointment still. I haven't technically missed my period yet so I won't call until the end of next week probably. I also want to switch to one of the midwives at my practice so I'll need to do that as well.

I haven't missed yet either (period due Sun). I'm being overly superstitious, even though my test line was a dark as my control line this morning. And yes, 4 days later I am still POAS at least once a day. Wondfos take the guilt away.

First appointment will likely be between Sep 14th through 19th, if the office still follows the same practice

I've POAS every day since my BFP.

I had one BFP on Tuesday, went to the doctors POAS and got a BFN. So they did blood work which thankfully came back positive! They rechecked 48 hours later and my hCG doubled so all is well so far! I called today to make my first appt with my new OB (last one left the practice) and that is 9/28.

I had my second beta drawn. First was 347 @14 dpo and quadroupled in 72 hours. I've decided to forgo and early ultrasounds. Since we've ruled out ectopic I think I'm gonna ride out until 8 week viability scan. Oh how I hate the name of that apt. Good luck ladies. Hope we all have some joyous first apts!

Had my second beta today and they've put me on progesterone. Another draw on Monday to see how well the progesterone does. Then scheduling a 6 week ultrasound, which would be around mid-September.

First appointment is 8/21. We'll get an ultrasound and a referral to MFM due to known genetic disorders in our son. From there I'm sure we'll have a better idea of how closely they want to monitor us.

Having my first ultrasound Sept 11 with initial OB appt Sept 12! Anxiously awaiting that .

I need to make an appointment. I just hate my current office and am putting it off. Maybe now that I'm pregnant I will be treated with some respect?? Who knows.  Will not be staying here for more than a couple months of the pregnancy, and will have to find a new one once we move!! Crazy. But, have to make sure bubs is safe and healthy in the meantime.

How far way are you moving? Any chance you can find a practice that has offices in both locations so all your records are together if you're close enough distance wise?

A few months; and unlikely!! We are moving from DC to MS, lol. They at least know me there, and when they think something is wrong they are pretty urgent; they just don't understand the "my insurance doesn't pay for that" thing. Not my fault??

My first appointment will be August 31! I had my bloodwork done last week and will get the results then. My EDD (which has yet to be confirmed) is May 1.

My first appointment will probably be my ultrasound, which is scheduled 2 weeks after your first positive beta (my first beta is on Wednesday). I'm with a fertility clinic and will be there until 12 weeks. It should be around September 13th!  With my last pregnancy and OB I had to wait until 14weeks!

That's why you order a bunch of the cheap ones from amazon 

Also Walmart 88 cent ones are great!  I got a very faint positive at 11 DPO with one.  I prefer them to the dollar tree ones.  But yes the wondfo brand is great too!

I'm in the UK and we get far less appointments early on it seems. I haven't called yet but I usually get a midwife appointment at about 8 weeks where she just does paperwork, weighs me and takes my blood pressure, gives me info etc.. No ultrasound till the 12 week NT and dating scan and then I'll see the midwife again at 16 weeks. I assume it's different if you have a history of problems or concerns but they don't usually do blood tests or betas. So if really feels like not much happens till the 12 week scan.

I haven't called for my first appointment yet because I'm not even 4 weeks. I was thinking about waiting for a couple days because I feel like this hasn't even sunk in yet...It's kind of funny because I was just at the OBGYN for a gyn appointment and to talk about the length of time it was taking me to TTC so I can call and be like "nevermind!" lol.

I'm jealous of anyone who gets positives on wondfo's! The OPK's worked like a dream, but I never seem to get positives on the HCG's. Same with my last pregnancy.

I called today to schedule my first appt! Sept 25th.. I'll be just over 8 weeks. I'm excited to see that first ultrasound! I think it'll feel more real then. Right now I'm just exhausted!

I wasn't going to go in for an early US but my dr is insisting because of brown spotting so looks like I'll be getting a US this Thursday, Sooooo, not looking forward to it.  I've had 2 losses that I saw via ultrasound so they are not a pleasant experience for me and just cause me stress and anxiety. Hoping this time we get good news.
