Re: September IVF

  • @adirat Yay for triggering!  1AM is unpleasant though - for exactly the reasons you stated.  Multiple alarms are key :). I had anesthesia for my hysteroscopy back in February and the procedure wasn’t til like 1 - I was soooooo hangry.  Definitely too late for the chick-fil-a breakfast with which I’ve come to reward myself after these things (I got ramen instead :p).

    @latvaughanash Just know that you’ve done everything you can :) And you don’t know (nor do I really) that that fert report call will be bad - it could be great news.  First cycles are often learning cycles (I haven’t done the same protocol as my first one again), but they aren’t always.  You have every reason to be optimistic!

    loverin I'm really sorry your other lil guy didn't make it but try to focus on your lil pumpkins for now....easier said then done.  Since doing PGS I have that extra added bonus of the loss your experiencing and then hearing others are abnormal...in my heart I think they're perfect.  Feel sad its you're feeling and you're allowed...its so hard IF sux straight up!!!!  (TW hear in my TWW i'm trying to stay so very positive and praying my bean sticks...and I was in temple last week and there were a few new borns in the crowd and it just broke me...that should've been me with my twins this year.  I tried to convince myself that my nugget is still with me for the new year just in my belly...it was the jewish new year this past week.  I try to find anything to make peace with the additional loss.  I cried while I was there, its the reaction but I tried to move past it.TW)  Once you get your miracle it will help you feel better I hope!!!

    emmasemm I"m glad to always make others smile, laugh in all forms...and yep that mean me on fire since saturday!  My girl is not happy inside and out.  Always lovely to shock a dr including the resident she had with her and he's like so what so you call this.  A terrible reaction you don't normal see this bad...gee thanks!  Love being an over achiever!  How are you feeling?  will you POAS?

    artemis618 hope your trigger went well, best of luck in ER tomorrow hoping u have some golden eggs waiting for you!!

    latvaughanash you're very smart and should relax there is nothing else you can do at this point!  But it sound like you're already off to a great start!!  Hope everything goes well and you have great mature eggs ready to go!  The early ERs r tough...bonus for you is you don't have to worry about fasting the morning ;)

    DecemberDoll27 love the gif!  Well I did POAS today and I have to say that the line did not seem darker then the day before - did that make me nervous absolutely BUT hcg takes 48hrs to double so that is what I"m telling myself.  My beta was 75 so I'm praying so hard it will double on friday and i have a fighting chance...u know its one hurdle down and onto the next!!  How are you doing?

    adirat wow 1am good for you I would've loved a later ER, and you can brush in the morning so hopefully that will keep you a lil wet.

    @loverin I'm so sorry you don't have any Blasts to freeze.  I'm in the same boat (2x now) and It's really hard to emotionally cope with what that means.  Let's just keep praying on our little ones in us! They are our hope! <3

    @latvaughanash and @adirat good luck with your ER tomorrow! You will both be great!  @adirat I'm so confused,  I had a late trigger too but could still eat/drink until midnight the day before my ER.  Are they making you fast sooner?! That is no fun- I'm sorry- but It will be worth it!

    @Hopeful_mom Edited: YAY!!! Okay thinking of you still (per previous comment) but this made my day.  Hope your angry vag (lol) also starts to feel better soon!

    @DecemberDoll27 your DH sounds like a sweetie! I love that he knows our stories!

    @krenee124 How did it go today!? Was the cyst still there? I hope the doctors eased your mind! :)

    AFM, I gave my nuggets a pep talk on determination and perseverance today. They better listen to their momma! Is anyone getting major headaches and cramping? I usually lay off the meds but I took my first round of tylenol this AM because I just couldn't deal anymore.  Maybe its the Progesterone?

    @FuzzyDust @DecemberDoll27 GL counting down till beta-time!!!

    @adirat I had to do NPO after midnight both times, too.  1030AM definitely sucked a bit for DH because he has diabetes and will go low if he doesn't get to eat, and if I'm not eating, he's likely not eating lol 7am was much better except for having to leave at 530... but my hysteroscopy coming up isn't till afternoon so I will be NPO all morning at work, trying not to pass out lol. Will you be home at least??
  • @emmasemm I have been ok.  Super tired, sore nipples went away yesterday but could be my body just used to the progesterone levels now? Cramps and BLOATED. I get random dizzy spells,(usually if I'm walking fast at work) and after food I get kind of "picky tummy". Not full on nauseous but just like:Eh. Drinking a ton of water and peeing more than usual. It's been near 90 here in NH for the last 4 days so I've been miserable.

    Trying to just keep calm, meditate each night and get good rest. (And count down til, vacation starts on Saturday!!!) You?

    @Hopeful_mom congrats!!! :smile:

  • Good morning, Ladies!

    @artemis618 and @latvaughanash Good luck with ER today sending all the good juju your way today! Let there be lots and lots of mature eggs!

    @rainbows2018 I have everything crossed for your freeze report today!

    To all the PUPO ladies here let's hang in there! Everybody's symptoms sound very promising!

    AFM, I cried my eyes out last night, all the symptoms disappeared when I got home from work. My DH keeps telling me that I am prego and I am just afraid to believe it. I had very strong cramping for about 15 min in bed last night, it felt like very strong AF, I even went and checked for bleeding a couple of times ( even though I know that you can't get AF while on progesterone). Barfed again this morning, apparently coffee is my trigger. That's what triggered it yesterday as well so DH and I were experimenting with it this morning to see how it goes. 2 sips is all it took. But I still don't believe... :-(  I totally psyched myself out by reading about how women imagine pregnancy symptoms and the body replicates them. I am a mess. 31 hours till beta results. Sorry for being so negative.

  • Thanks @DecemberDoll27and @cxsimo08 . Haven’t heard from my nurse yet - it’s driving me insane. Also, I have to say reading everyone’s symptoms is far more interesting than my work right now.
  • Good luck today @artemis618 and @latvaughanash

    @DecemberDoll27 Those sound like symptoms to me! Coffee aversion is real! And remember it is SO early. I had hyperemesis gravidarum with my loss pregnancy and even that didn't start until 5+6 (oh yes I remember the exact day).

  • Ladies, I got my Fert report. Of the 8 fertilized, only 2 made it to blast. I guess I’m disappointed to say the least. I expected to be left with 4 or 3 at a minimum. Now I fear what’s going to happen with genetic testing - what if I’m left with none?? Scheduled a call with my RE for tonight to discuss but we won’t have the PGS results for another couple of weeks.
  • @rainbows2018, I am sorry only 2 made it to blast, but two is not that bad, it only takes one, remember? Did they already do PGS and now waiting on the results? Fingers crossed you will end up with both of them normal. Also somebody posted an article about PGS testing on here recently. It basically said that it is possible that embies that test abnormal still can self-correct and lead to a normal baby. Just don't lose hope

    Hi ladies!  I’m sitting here at the Chick-fil-a (conveniently less than a mile from the facility) with my reward breakfast sandwich and hashed browns :). (Edit:  that was supposed to be a smiley face :P)

    So...33 is more than 6 eggs.  No suppression apparently makes a difference.  We’d be THRILLED if we got 8-10 fertilized.  I’m a little concerned about quality since I’ll be 40 in a week and a half (and my estrogen at trigger was actually a touch lower than when I got 14 last cycle), but we’re hoping for the best!

    Hope all went/is going well @latvaughanash!

    @rainbows2018 I’m sorry you’re disappointed, but two blasts are more than I got my my first cycle.  And quality really is what matters, so there is definitely still hope!

  • @artemis618 Holly crap Lady- 33 eggs! You have some sort of super power in my book! Hoping for good percentage of those being mature! Are you doing ICSI on those or the natural way?
    Be good to yourself today, lots of rest and getorade! When are you getting your Fert report?

  • @artemis618. Wow!!!  33!  Enjoy that chick-fil-a!  You earned it.  ;)  keeping everything crossed for some good reports.. (((hugs)))

    @rainbows2018. That is so hard when you have fewer make it, than not make it.  Keeping everything crossed your two little fighters both come back normal!  And even if they don't, I agree with PPs, that still wouldn't mean they couldn't be transferred and correct and result in a beautiful, perfect take-home baby!  I will keep everything crossed for a wonderful outcome... Will be thinking of your while you wait for results. ❤

    @DecemberDoll27 @FuzzyDust @BusinessWife Thanks, ladies!  New RE, new protocol, new lab (incidentally, it was way easier than I thought it would be to switch REs - we had our initial consult on 8/31 and 28 days later we were at ER)...I'll suppose we'll see (w/fert report) tomorrow...

    @DecemberDoll27 Well, six was our threshold for half ICSI/half IVF (if we had 5 or fewer we'd have ICSI'd all of them even though we had a bad experience with ICSI our first cycle), so we're doing half ICSI, half IVF (because I'm a Libra and terrible at making decisions :P).
