@Cowboycorgi I am glad the sch is gone and I hope the previa doesn't cause issues. The good part of monitoring with a MFM is you usually get a sono at each visit. It will all be worth it when you are holding your sweet baby. Thinking of you.
Thank you, everyone! You are right, it will be worth it when I am holding baby in my arms. I've been on pelvic rest since we started FET in May... so I'm just feeling a bit of self pity. Healthy baby matters most!
@kalawa, *TW* I discovered my SCH at 7 weeks, and bled fresh blood for 2 weeks. Lost Baby B at 9weeks when my SCH had grown to 9cm, then brown/spotting until 12weeks. I had a rush of fresh bleeding that lasted 3-4mins at 13weeks, but I feel like that had more to do with the placenta previa. They couldn't prove it at the time because it was still too early, but it acted exactly like the time I bled with my DD when I had partial placenta previa. However I can't rule out that it was from the SCH that had shrunk down to 1cm at that time.
Ugh. I've been so MIA for weeks. We just moved today and I have been breaking my back prepping and packing and getting the new house ready so our kids could feel settled right away. I just want to get back to posting here and catching up. I've been reading most posts and clicking "love" really quickly and then I always ended up too tired to make any words of my own. Looking forward to jumping back in!
The wait is driving me crazy, but also starting to feel close. It's weird that baby has always been one way or the other, and we just don't know it. I kinda like dragging out the suspense of it all.
I'm so sorry @Cowboycorgi, that is more stress and uncertainty than anyone should have to go through. It sounds like your doctor made a good call to move you to a MFM. Keeping you in my thoughts. You deserve a smooth ride from here.
@Cowboycorgi ugh that's stressful. My situation is similar to yours. TW Lost one of the babys with my first SCH...now I am just brown bleeding/spotting at 16w after the 3rd, largest SCH I've had so far. My midwife is hopeful that it's going away slowly. END TW.
I have a friend who is 31 weeks pregnant and in the hospital to deliver her baby boy already. I don't want to share all the details, but wanted to ask if you all could send prayers, juju, whatever you believe in for my friend. I am an emotional wreck over this and don't know what else I can do for her at the moment besides pray. Thank you.
@amylonghorn: Praying for your friend and her baby. Without knowing details of what is going on, 31 weeks is generally really manageable with modern technology. Hope all goes well and their hospital stay is short.
Any Big Brother fans out there?? I would love to hear other thoughts on the finale last night!
@amylonghorn thinking of your friend! That is scary, but I hope everything turns out well for mom and baby!
@notthefather you brought me out of lurk status with big brother haha I've watched for years and definitely watched this season too! Am I allowed to discuss without spoiling for anyone who might not have seen it and wants to? I don't know how to do that little spoiler box, but I have SO MANY thoughts and would love to discuss!
@stlbuckeye132: I'd hate to start a thread since the season is over so I'll post in a spoiler box.
I could not stop laughing when the winner was announced. On one hand, the 2nd place person really controlled the whole game throughout and did some pretty impressive things, but I dislike him and how he played so intensely that I could not have been happier with how it played out. It made what was probably the most annoying and frustrating season worth every bit of it. All the unnecessary lies and torment finally came back to bite him and it felt so vindicating.
@notthefather google is a wonderful thing, so I figured out how to use the spoiler box (at least I hope this works!)
We are pretty much opposites! I am SO MAD i wasted that much time of my life for Josh to win. He didn't do anything other than what Paul said! Paul controlled the ENTIRE season without anyone picking up on it (except Josh towards the end, but he still went along with it...) so I think it's crap that most the jurors were just bitter and sore losers. He outplayed you, give credit where credit is due! Oh well, life's not fair I guess. ALSO, Cody as the fan favorite?! Wtf America? I honestly didn't enjoy this season much at all and was bored most of it, but I would have preferred not to see a total a-hole be rewarded with fan favorite.
@amylonghorn sending positive vibes toward your friend and her little one
Just spent an hour or so plugging data into this budgeting app called DollarBird, which I really like! Unlike other apps I've used, it's calendar-based so you can add recurring payments and paychecks and visualize how much money you'll have on a certain day in the future (keeping in mind that variable expenses like groceries and incidentals will be coming out too).
Anyway, just thought I'd mention it. If you have a lot of recurring, predictable expenses, you might be into it! It's helping me figure out how aggressively I can pay down my credit card debt while continuing to save money for baby.
I actually 100% get where you're coming from. No one else really, truly played the game and it was mind boggling what a bunch of followers they were. Honestly, I think they all sucked. Every one of them. My biggest problems with Paul was that he was the driving force for the really hateful, nasty treatment of others. He put other people up to personally attacking and harassing others to better his game without looking bad. I don't see this season so much as Josh winning as Paul losing it. Paul was so convinced he had everything sewed up and that he played it so perfectly but he didn't see how he completely mismanaged the jury. I think if he would have been more honest in his goodbye messages, he probably would have won.
As far as Cody winning America's Favorite, I think it was just a giant snub to Paul. I was pulling for Kevin or Jason.
@notthefather and @stlbuckeye132. I do not know how to use spoiler so without ruining it for everyone, I agree with @stlbuckeye132. I think the wrong person won last night.. America's pick too. And yes, this season was pretty boring. I am curious to see who will be on the Celebrity BB!
@notthefather I can see where you're coming from too, overall this season had way too much bullying and personal attacks and people were downright mean. Not cool at all.
@npkat the spoiler box is actually pretty easy. Just type out what you want to say, select everything you want to be in the spoiler box, then hit the paragraph button (next to bold and italic) drop down menu and "spoiler" is an option. That will put a gray box around everything you highlighted, and it will show up as the spoiler box once you post. Hope that helps!
It was lovely chatting with you guys about BB! It was therapeutic to get that all out this morning
So, as a bunch of people who are currently very invested in healthcare and especially maternity care, mental health care (PPD is a very real thing), and health care for these children, for those of us in the United States, now is the time to familiarize yourself with the new healthcare bill and to let your senators know how you feel about it. If you love it and you want them to vote for it, let them know. If you do not love it and want them to vote against it, let them know. The absolute easiest way to contact them is through Resistbot (which yes, the name implies a certain leaning but you can use it to espouse whatever beliefs you have). All you do is text "Resist" to 50409. Then you tell it where you live so it can find your reps and follow the prompts from there. You can use it to call, send a fax, or send a letter to House, Senate, Congress, or your governor. I personally like fax because it's immediate and I hate talking on the phone. Then, any time you want to reach out, just text "resist" to it again and you can choose who you want to contact and how. It is 100% legit. I've heard back from my reps based on things I've sent them through this service.
Even if you agree with the way you predict your senator will vote, share your thoughts with them. I know we all appreciate encouragement and support and I think if I were a senator right now, I'd be emotionally exhausted and in need of it. If you don't agree with the way you predict your senator will vote, then at least you can know that you did your part to let them know how to serve their constituents and if they go against that, you can choose how to vote when they're up for reelection.
I know we try to keep it non-political but this is a topic that is applicable to pregnancy and as many of us are planning to have more children after this, it's important. No matter what you think of the bill, it's important to express your opinions to your reps.
Me: 34 DH: 38 Married: June 2011 TTC since Feb 2016 BFP#1: 7/7/16 MMC: 8/16/16 BFP#2: 5/8/17 - CP BFP#3: 6/27/17 EDD: 3/10/18
I was so unhappy with this season. If this was 5+ years ago, Paul would have won no doubt. The jury was just a bunch of bitter whiners. Everyone was just embarassed that they let Paul play every aspect of their game. And they let their pride take their vote, rather than admitting who actually played the game. Josh didn't play, Paul played for Josh. But, I REALLY enjoyed Julie's "always a bridesmaid" comment to Paul. I laughed pretty hard at his reaction...he was livid.
I haven't had much time to be on here lately. I deleted the app off my phone trying to be more present with my 1 year old. The stay at home mom life gets lonely sometimes and the phone is such a temptation! Anyway I've read people's updates here and there just haven't posted much! I had an early ultrasound/anatomy scan last week at 16 weeks with MFM. I had ICP (cholestasis of pregnancy) with my first and after being itchy again for a week I asked my midwife for blood work and looks like it is starting to return (still on the mild end when I was tested at 14 weeks). It usually doesn't appear until third tri so I am being sent to all sorts of specialists. The good news is, baby is looking great and healthy so that's all I can ask for!! And it seems like my doctors/midwives are all on top of things! This babe will be a February baby though since induction by 37 weeks is highly recommeded. I know there were a couple others on here who had ICP the first time around... anyone else having issues again yet? I hope you all are doing well and enjoying your pregnancies! Can't believe we are soon approaching the halfway mark!! (Or at least those of us with early March due dates are!). I've loved stalking the boy/girl thread
I'm jealous of all of you that know the gender of your little one, my AS isn't until 10/30 (I'll be 20 weeks on 10/27) because we opted out of NIPT. DH and I haven't even started discussing names yet seriously (he'll randomly text me some that he likes and vice versa) until we know if it's a boy or girl. Of course we want a healthy baby and we'd be happy with either gender but I'm secretly hoping for a girl. We only have 3 bedrooms in our house so the 2 kids of the same gender will have to share the bigger room which is currently my DD's so it would be easier to just keep her in there, plus she said she wants a sister! Chinese gender chart says girl and I'm having the same cravings I had when pregnant with DD but in my mind I keep referring to the baby as "little guy". This is why the waiting is driving me nuts, I'm happy either way but I want to know!
TL:DR - want to know the gender of the baby, AS on 10/30

Tried out ResistBot the other day for this - best thing everrrr.
Does anybody else feel that their bump changes size based on the pants they're wearing? When I wear pants that just pull up (like yoga pants or my "dress" yoga pants aka comfiest work pants ever) I feel it sticks out more, I think the elastic isn't even trying to go over it so it just pushes it up and out. Whenever I wear dress pants that have a button and those little hook things that go over where the bump is it almost disappears. yesterday I felt I looked a lot more pregnant in my work clothes than I did today. Am I going crazy?

Absolutely. I can easily hide my "bump" in the few regular pants I still wear but I look so much more pregnant in maternity pants.
@LaurenAnn0405 Yes! I find knit stretchy pants make me look actually pregnant and pants that are more woven material with less stretch do a pretty decent job of hiding my blump. Also I won't be finding out the sex until 11/10. Which feels like forever from now, but I know will be here before I know it. While I wish I could find out earlier, it is kinda nice to have some pregnancy "excitement" at the halfway point.

I've had a hard time eating anything at all. Just no appetite/nothing sounds good. My husband has been trying his best to encourage me to eat, and today that involved getting out the deep fryer. I did finally eat and it was delicious, but now I am regretting it big-time. Ugh.
@kalawa, I'm sorry you have had to deal with this, and hoe you midwife is correct. I hate how it is always so up in the air whether it is getting better or if another will start. It's frustrating, exhausting, and every time I start to feel too positive I get this seed of doubt and fear corrupting it. I wish no one had to experience losing a child.
@LiveNLove44@LaurenAnn0405@HappyMonkey817@orbmaker@stlbuckeye132@notthefather Thank you all so much for your good thoughts for my friend. Thanks again for your encouraging words!!
@amylonghorn glad your friend and new baby are doing well! @Cowboycorgi thanks for the kind words! I hope all continues well for you as well, and that placenta moves up where it belongs!
Ugh, random...this stupid September heatwave has the mosquitoes back in full force. GO AWAY!!
FBF: Woke up with a headache for the second day in a row. Acetaminophen, caffeine, and sleep didn't touch it yesterday. Ugh... Trying ice on the neck now. I think it is barometric pressure related, because it went from nice fallish weather to hot and muggy yesterday.
