So frustrating! It cut my message off twice! Last attempt. @Crystal321 so glad to hear you have such a personable clinic! @sarcasticowl Good luck today! Sending you all my positive energy and love this morning. Hoping you end up with a positive result! @hopefulmom I took a dest on Sunday and it was negative. DH and I decided to wait and POAS tomorrow before beta. My stomach has been weird too. I'm hoping it's not just from the hormones. @Magallyta and @crrystal321 we all go tomorrow! I'm so excited! BFP for everyone!!
@FuzzyDust They never released my transfer day blood work to me, so I have no idea. But 6 days later my progesterone was 20.9. Don't worry yet. The progesterone is really to support a pregnancy so you have time to build it up before the embryo embeds I would think!
@FuzzyDust I have heard that with the progesterone suppositories, the levels are often not detected properly in bloodwork as the progesterone goes straight to the source and does not enter the bloodstream as effectively as PIO. I had used Crinone for 3 FET cycles and they never tested my progesterone levels once starting the progesterone as my RE said it would not be an accurate result. But because of ERA, we are now doing PIO and the result yesterday the day before my transfer (after 5 days of PIO) was 27. Im sure your RE will have a plan today. Congrats on being PUPO!
AFM Sorry I have gone MIA on this board the last week or two, but I had to have my gallbladder removed on the 14th and was not able to start FET prep until after the surgery. However, I did have my baseline on 9/16, started estrogen patches that night and go back for my lining check on Monday 9/25. If all looks good, I will start PIO that night, for 6 nights and my FET will most likely be on 10/1. Because everyone else on here most likely will be done by then, I also joined the October board. But I am still following everyone's journeys on here and keeping my fingers crossed for more BFPs this month!
@sarcasticowl, I', so sorry it didn't work this time Take a moment to pumper yourself and regroup, and I'm sure the bfp isn't too far in your future.
@bethann1022, thanks for the info! Now did your first 3 FET go with the crinone? I'm now second-guessing my decision to ask my RE for suppositories instead of PIO. My fear of needles isn't as strong as the fear of not having babies. Good luck with your transfer in October!

@amynico We have 5 more tested and 5 untested, so we're good for now. Thank you all for your condolences and words of encouragement.
Man, some days I wish I could just quit my job and devote myself to this process full time, you know? I feel like I could get that BFP so much more quickly without all the unnecessary stress and attention that my job needs. I'd make my husband and me amazing meals from stuff I got at the farmers' market, I'd go to yoga, get acupuncture every day, nap, meditate, go to RE appointments in the middle of the day because I'm not in a rush to get back to work, take walks... Life would be grand, huh?
@sarcasticowl it all sounds great in theory, but in hindsight I think I was happier back when I was working and doing treatments. It kept my mind occupied and time passed quicker. I also had a high stress job, so I do feel your pain on that. Now that I'm not working though I just sit around and obsess over it. If anything I feel more stressed now than I did back then.
I know it's easier said than done, but the best thing for us is to just relax and try and let our bodies do their job. I just wish my body didn't suck so bad at its job, lol
@sarcasticowl so sorry for the BFN this cycle, but hopeful that your next one will lead to your BFP! I find your topic of not having to work so interesting. I am an RN and for years worked as a Visiting Nurse and then a Care Manager for different companies right outside Boston. The traffic was awful, and I was always so stressed and was convinced the commute and long hours was the problem. I was so excited when I was able to get a job working remotely from home as a Care Manager. Best of both worlds right? Still working so have the income, less stress because it's at home and the flexibility needed through IF treatment as well as other life commitments. Well, in some ways it is great...the flexibility to go to appointments during the day, and to not have to report to my manager every time I have a monitoring appt in the morning and start a little later. Also, being able to express my emotions in privacy and not worry about others being around or having to brainstorm possible explanations. But as Crystal321 said it also leads to other types of stress. There is so much more time to obsess, days seem to pass so much slower, and I have access 24/7 to google! Also, most friends and family are working during the day, so if I do get good news or bad, I have to deal with it myself for many hours, with very little distractions. So while there are definitely good aspects, they don't always balance out the negative.
@FuzzyDust- Are you doing the Crinone gel or the other suppositories? I like to administer my own shots, and have a difficult time with the PIO because of where it has to be injected, I can only do the right side and cannot twist myself to do the left with my right hand and have literally no coordination of the left. So after two PIO shots in the thighs I asked my RE for Crinone and she had no problem giving it to me. Unfortunately all 3 of my first cycles resulted in BFNs. However, this is NOT the case for everyone, so please do not worry about it, I actually have known many people who use Crinone only and have great success with it on the first cycle. I truly believe it depends on the RE and each individual's body. My RE also only had me use Crinone for 4 days (as opposed to PIO for 5 days) before going in for the FET, so who knows if another day or two of Crinone would have made the difference. I did have the ERA done and with 4 days of Crinone I was at least 2 days pre-receptive (not surprised, I was only using 7 inserts before FET), so then my RE had me try 6 days of PIO and I was receptive. However, if I had a choice and my body responded to Crinone, I would 100% do that. I did the 6 days of PIO in the beginning of July and did 5 in my right buttocks and 1 in my left, and the right is still sensitive to touch 2 1/2 months later. And I will be starting PIO again most likely in 5 days, which I am already dreading. But we do what we have to do....just trust your RE, don't worry about the progesterone type you chose as your RE would not have allowed you to use if she did not have confidence that it would work! Update us on what her feedback is with your progesterone level.
@bethann1022 I definitely hear you. Knowing how anxious and depress-y I can be does give me pause about my dream of not trying to deal with both the IF process and work, but I think I'm just wistful about the prospect because I am currently without a direct supervisor, my one direct coworker/backup is on maternity leave (from a fresh transfer that worked on the first try - sigh), and so much keeps falling into my lap because of the gap in the team. So many days I wish I could just give this place the finger and peace out, even though I love it here. I just don't want to someday wish that I'd done things differently and focused more on creating a family and not focused and worried so much about WORK. You're lucky you had the option to work remotely, but everything good has its drawbacks, I know.
@sarcasticowl I'm so sorry to hear about your bfn. I feel you on wishing work didn't have to be so important. I love my job and they are flexible with all my appointments, but in the back of my head I feel as though I would have already had a positive if I could have focused more on creating a family than the everyday grind of working and everything else.
TTC 4 years. 7 failed IUI's with either Clomid, Femara and/or Trigger Shots. Started IVF journey in February 2017. Polyps removed in May. 1st IVF Transfer September 26th. BFP. Expected due date 6/14/18. Baby boy born 5/25/18 at 6 lb 9 oz. My bundle of joy.
@bethann1022 I do my own injections as well and I definitely favor one side over the other. For some reason it hurts like crazy on my right side. I was on suppositories back in 2013-2015 when I first started treatments. When I came back this year though they put me on PIO shots. I'm thinking of asking if I can go back on suppositories if I get a positive test tomorrow (or a negative). I am not one to question my doctor, but I really don't understand why they changed me from suppositories over to shots when the suppositories worked for me before
To my girls with beta coming up, anybody have feelings about tomorrow? All the sudden today, I've gotten super nervous. I have had cramps everyday, sore boobs, increased appetite but I don't want to get my hopes up. I almost don't want to find out and just keep believing I am. (That's weird) I'm full of anxiety!
@sarcasticowl I'm so sorry about your BFN but know that you are still way ahead of the curve with all those frosties in the bank. It will happen for you soon, I know it.
Thinking of everyone anxiously awaiting betas and have everything crossed for you ~~~~~~sticky sticky vibes~~~~~~~
AFM *sorry if this is TMI* I started having some verrrrrry very light spotting yesterday and it's freaking me out. Yes, even doctors get anxious about this stuff even when it's within the realm of "normal." RE reassured me that it's totally fine as long and nothing red, or heavy and no cramping along with it. But I can't help stewing over it anxiously. I wish I was just a relax and go with the flow personality type but I think this whole process and all the nerves and waiting makes it almost impossible to be chill. Bah!
1st cycle of IVF started July 2017. ER- 21R, 14M, 12F, 7 blasts. 5 PGS normal frozen.
@amynico I am on pins and needles. I started getting some pain in my lower back this morning and a few cramps the other night, which are good signs for me. I am just praying for a positive test and good numbers tomorrow.
I just got a call from a pharmacy, telling me that they got a prescription for me for progesterone oil... I still haven't heard from my medial team though, but the assumption is that I'll have to start doing PIO instead of suppositories. I have a see of mixed emotions and questions. Does it mean suppositories didn't work at all? Can my little embryo still implant with such little progesterone level? And the dread of PIO... I'm also feeling a little bit sick (sore throat, a bit congested). Hoping my little guy will grab on and grow despite all of this....

Hi girls! Sorry, I can't keep up with this board anymore lol) Im sending the best vibes to the ones with beta tomorrow. We need those BFPs! @crystal321 I can't believe you made it without HPT ! Im so proud of you.
@sarcasticowl Im sorry about your BFN, but I am so thankful we live in the time when miracles like making babies in the labs are possible! We just need a little luck and the doctors will do the rest. I wish you all the best in your next cycle.
AFM I am sleeping 10 (!!!!) hours a night and 2-3(!!!) hours during the day! I also had a very strange visit to a doctor yesterday. Unfortunately, after Ive been sick my asthma has worsened so I went to see a pulmonologist. So to prescribe steroids(more meds!), he obviously had to know that Im pregnant and that it was through IVF. I think it was the first time he saw an IVF patient and while examining me he asked me questions like: - How long have you been trying? Are you sure its not your husband? (?????yes dude, we did IVF without checking him duh)
- Wow, How much did you spend on this? (are you serious?) - ArE YOU SURE YOURE PREGNANT because you don't look like it? (!!!no comments, are you even a doctor??)
Honestly, people, even doctors, can be so inappropriate.

@sarcasticowl i am sorry the FET didn't work out this time. You are lucky that you have more embies. Please take this time to rest & destress. Can you make any time for acupuncture? Sorry to hear the news but know that you will get a bfp in no time.
@sarcasticowl I am so sorry to hear about your BFN. You have an amazing attitude and perspective on it all and I truly hope your next cycle will be the one for you. I hear you on the job front too. I worked through the majority of my treatments years ago and it was tough. Added a whole other layer of stress to an already stressful situation. My thoughts are with you girl.
@FuzzyDust what the? No heads up on the change in progesterone from your nurse? That's crap. PIO is not pleasant but it gets the job done. You can do it!
@bethann1022 glad to hear your gallbladder surgery is over and good luck with the next steps! October will be here before you know it.
@Medicallyblonde spotting is so unsettling even when we know it can be "normal." I hope it stops all together so you can have some piece of mind.
@Cinnamonn maybe that pulmonologist is looking into IVF for himself!? Those questions are bizarre. Hope your meds will have you feeling better.
AFM I know I'm in crazy town with my early negative HPT's. Had another negative yesterday but didn't test today. I wish I could remain hopeful but I've been disappointed too many times so it's easier to keep my guard up and just assume it didn't work. I have quite the positive attitude in all other aspects of my life but when it comes to infertility I've been broken down. Still hopeful for the other September ladies.
@FuzzyDust congrats on being PUPO sounds like such a nice day yay!!! sending you super stciky vibes for you lil prince!!! They didn't do my blood day of I first go in tomorrow to see whats going on... I should also add that bethann1022 made some very valid point! At first I didn't think I could add to it BUT I did get pregnant with twins and only used crinone. This cycle they've added PIO every 3rd day as some studies I think recently Have showed that it helps during FET I THINK> ButI"m still on crinone 2x a day.
@sarcasticowl I'm really sad and disappointed, sending you big hugs! I"m glad you have so many waiting in the wings! And I would love to join this stress free life with yoU!!
bethann1022 hey welcome back glad things r moving forward!! I would love to work from home and only have to pop into an office to others once in a while!
Medicallyblonde what type of spotting, hopefully its just old blood...I'd be a basket case too!
Cinnamonn I have no words for your visit - and hoping he as able to help you and not just torment you, seriously!

Thank you all for the supportive words. After a few hours of stress and trying to reach my clinic over the phone, my nurse finally called me back, and I'm all set with a new plan now - I stopped suppositories, and did my first PIO last night. Nurse also told me that yes, suppositories don't always register in blood same as PIO, but my uterus should be fine. PIO sucks, but I must say that with the fear that my little embie might not have enough hormones to implant, I couldn't wait to get the shot in. DH agreed to do it for me every night - in a way, I think he feels more included this way. Also, if we're lucky enough to get bfp, shots will make sex much more possible/easy than all the mess that comes with the suppositories. Need that natural oxytocin to help with the pain

@Crystal321 Nope, we only got one normal. @sarcasticowl I was really thinking it was going to be such a great month. We started out with all those positives and I just knew it would continue for all of us. I'm really sad it doesn't work that way. I hope everyone gets their heathy baby one day! I also feel quite frustrated that this process cost so much! I would start stimming tomorrow if we had that kind of money or insurance that covered any of it... we were all out of pocket. My mother in law has offered to pay for us to try again but I would feel just awful taking her money and even worse if things didn't result in a pregnancy. Good luck everyone! I wish you all the very best!!❤️❤️
@Magallyta Congratulations!!!! What was your Beta number? Having another positive in the September bunch gives us, still PUPO, hope. I'm very happy for you!

Good luck with your transfer in October!

FET scheduled for 9/6/17
I still haven't heard from my medial team though, but the assumption is that I'll have to start doing PIO instead of suppositories.
My story in signature spoiler. Children mentioned.
I don't produce FSH, so no natural menstrual cycle. DH has reduced morphology.

Sorry, I can't keep up with this board anymore lol)
Im sending the best vibes to the ones with beta tomorrow.
I think it was the first time he saw an IVF patient and while examining me he asked me questions like:
- How long have you been trying? Are you sure its not your husband? (?????yes dude, we did IVF without checking him duh)
- ArE YOU SURE YOURE PREGNANT because you don't look like it? (!!!no comments, are you even a doctor??)
Honestly, people, even doctors, can be so inappropriate.

@amynico@crystal321 good luck tomorrow ladies
@FuzzyDust what the? No heads up on the change in progesterone from your nurse? That's crap. PIO is not pleasant but it gets the job done. You can do it!
@amynico, @Crystal321, and @Magallyta good luck tomorrow ladies!
@Magallyta @amynico @Crystal321 best of luck to you ladies, can't wait to hear some good news - come on BFP!!!!!
Mewkie i'm still keeping hope - hang in there!!

IVF#7 June 2017 // EPP praying this is it and then on to an FET!
@Magallyta @amynico @Crystal321 - can't wait to hear your news from the test today! Good Luck!
@Hopeful_mom, when is your Beta?

I am very sad @amynico@crystal321 & the outcome. I do believe in miracles & know that both of you will have healthy beautiful babies.
Having another positive in the September bunch gives us, still PUPO, hope.
I'm very happy for you!
