We finally started painting our nursery this weekend... I only got 2 of the 4 walls done.. not including painting all the trim again. I haven't been this tired since the first trimester, lol. Hoping to get the rest done tomorrow!
Also bought a body pillow to help sleep. GENUIS. So comfy!!! Highly recommend!
So at work lately I've been dealing with a lot of truck drivers. They are in and out several times a day. One truck company is husband/wife owned and the wife asked me how far along I was the other day. I told her 15 weeks (sad that I am showing so obviously already). The next day she asked if there was anything we needed for this baby. I told her not really unless it happened to be a boy, then I'd need more boy clothes/shoes. I also said we would be looking for a crib as well since DD is still in hers and it will convert. She said that she would talk to her husband and see what they could do to help me out. I told her that was super sweet of her but they really didn't have to do that. She came back later showing me all these neat 3 in 1 cribs on Pinterest. I agreed that they were super neat and she took off. Next trip in... she asked, "So, is black okay in that crib?" I was like, what!? She repeated herself and I said, well yea, but that really isn't necessary! She then told me that she had already ordered it and it should be here next week! I could not believe it! These people don't even know me! I was completely taken back by their kindness! There are still good people in the world
They could have just brought me a box of diapers and I would have been thrilled!
@crossfitbabybump I just got a body pillow too (this one)! I love it so much. My husband nicknamed it Mel cos he likes to make fun of me ever since I told him I had a crush on Mel Gibson in Braveheart when I was, like, 11 years old.
We're going to paint our nursery this weekend. What color did you decide on? We picked Wythe Blue, which my mom thinks is too gloomy, but we think it'll be nice with lots of color pops.
I went to Costco for eggs and dishwasher detergent, and I somehow wound up with these... ? I think they must have jumped into the cart when I wasn't looking.
@HappyMonkey817 we had the same thing happen at Sam's Club on Saturday but it was chocolate truffles from the Christmas aisle. Strange how they wind up in the cart like that.
My toddler has suddenly started protesting and skipping naps, even though she very desperately needs them. It's been really challenging.
Omgosh, mine too. This weekend was rough. Total nap strike on Saturday, and Sunday took everything in me to get him down. He really needs it. When he gives in, he sleeps for 2-3 hours. When he doesn't, he is super crabby by bedtime.

@bb3vj3n I heard that too! We clearly watch the same news channels haha. But I unfortunately see why. They can be overpriced compared to box stores. But I do love bringing my child there with gift cards he gets.
I have nothing going on this week other than the fact that I'm a little too excited about the fall decor I'm putting out. I also need to clean my bathroom really bad. Exciting lol!
Found out today I have to have a cerclage. Before the week is over. AND I have to see a MFM doc to do it because it's too complicated for my obgyn. I just want my baby boy in my arms and ok...
@cford08. I have had four now and besides my last one, I really have done well with each. I am sorry you have to one, but if it keeps your baby in there until term it will all be worth it. I hope it goes well and you if you have any questions I'd be happy to help if I can.
I came home from work tonight to 4 kitties in a homemade cage with no food or water or note. Someone just dropped them off. I have no idea if the poor things had to sit there all day like that or if someone had just been there. Either way kind of disturbing that someone came in our yard and up on our porch and not to mention, frustrating. I didn't really want them, but took them all to our barn and let them out. I figure maybe they'll turn into good mousers.. Or maybe they'll run away and be gone by morning.
You know those white oval bumper magnets that have places on them, like OBX for Outer Banks? I saw one today that said LMP and I have no idea where it is referring to bc all I could think of was Last Menstrual Period!
@orbmaker - we went with what is called "Spring Thaw" by Pittsburgh Paints. It's a gender neutral color, to me at least lol. it's a slight grey. it'll match our crib and we bought a huge 8 x 10 area rug for the room too that it all matches! the room we're putting the nursery in used to be this awful burnt orange color the previous house owners thought was pretty... gag!
@chasingroygbiv no symptoms. I had mentioned my previous LEEPs to my OB and she said let's get a cervical check just in case. Which turned into urgent M.D. appointments yesterday and today. Cerclage scheduled for Friday....
Guys, my heart feels like it's going to blow out of my chest! Just had NIPT testing done and this is going to seriously be the LONGEST week of my liiifeeee!!!!! #teamboy
I'm so envious of all of you learning your gender results so early on. I opted out of NIPt at my docs recommendation... he felt it wasnt medically necessary for me and as such, we are waiting for our 20wk scan to learn whether we are having a boy or girl.
I would be the thrilled either way! I'm just so eager to know!
@cford08 I am so glad your doctor is being proactive in checking you. There is a point that it gets too late to have a cerclage bc you don't have enough cervix to stitch. It's good news that you are eligible for the procedure. Great catch by your OB! Also, the cervix is dynamic and even if you have a low measurement now, it could get longer with the cerclage. Good luck! Praying for a safe procedure.
@bb3vj3n We're waiting until the AS too. (We'd have done cfDNA if the NT scan showed any concerns, but I think everything looked good.) So I'll be with you not knowing for a few more weeks!

@orbmaker LOVE that color blue. So peaceful and lovely! Perfect for a bedroom.
@HappyMonkey817 I similarly ran to Costco on my lunch break just to pick up Gatorade for my husband (which he consumes by the crate, so it doesn't make sense to buy elsewhere), but instead of picking up chocolate, I hit a car whilst pulling out of the parking lot. Ugh. Truffles were a wiser action.
@gh515 Boo! Boycott the weather! It's fall, damn it! We've been having nice cool weather here in WA, and although the leaves haven't changed yet... you bet your ass there are ceramic pumpkins on display in my living room.
I just had my 16week ultrasound and my SCH is gone!!! However now I have complete placenta previa. Not a big deal, but means I stay on pelvic rest (I'm never going to get laid!)
My OB decided this is the last straw and he is send me to MFM.
Baby B is still hanging around and refuses to absorb, and my grapefruit sized ovarian cyst is still hanging around as well.
Pregnancy is overrated. Just give me a full term healthy baby without all this drama.
@becausescience same here.. had the NT indicated any problems, we would have processed to further testing - but that was not the case. Nice to be reminded that I'm not the only one left who doesn't know ( you too @emineminem ) that isn't part of team green! 5 wks to go!
@Cowboycorgi YAY to the SCH being gone!!! one step in the right direction!
@Cowboycorgi yay for disappearing hematomas! I feel you on not getting laid though...been on pelvic rest for 11 weeks now. If you don't mind me asking, TW how long did you bleed or spot for with your hematoma? END TW
@bb3vj3n I also don't know yet and I really want to know!! Above all, we want a healthy baby of course, but I remember when I found out I was having a boy when I was pregnant with my son, I felt an even stronger connection. We'll know soon!

@cford08 you'll be in my thoughts.
@jeanbean15 I feel you on the fall décor... even though it is less appropriate in Chicagoland this week as temps will hit the 90s.
