I'm super frustrated right now. I have hypothyroidism and need to make sure my thyroid levels stay good for pregnancy. I messaged my endo and she put orders in and told me to go to any of the hospital's labs to get blood drawn. I went to get it done around 4:15. The lab had no orders in the system for me from my endo. They had older (but still active) orders for the same bloodwork from my OB, but they couldn't access them (I still don't understand why). This was around 4:30 and my endo and OB's offices were both closed. The lady at the lab kept asking if I had direct phone numbers for them. Um, no.
I was crying to these lab workers about how if I didn't get this bloodwork ASAP, I was going to have another miscarriage. (If you remember, my OB made mention at my D&C follow-up about how she wasn't happy with my numbers during the pregnancy I lost, which could have been a factor.) A little dramatic, yes, but my anxiety is high now. They were finally able to get ahold of my endo after paging her, but it was after the lab had closed, so I have to go back to a different lab tomorrow. I'm just glad they're open on Saturday instead of waiting until Monday.
@GeekBeagle Congrats on your BFP! I have hypothyroidism also, and I had similar frustrations around labwork with my current pregnancy. My doctor had me increase my dose by 25-30% as soon as I got my BFP, even if I couldn't get lab work right away. It may be worth calling your doc to see if that's something you could do. It was the equivalent of me doubling up on pills a couple times a week. We ended up bumping down my dosage after a month because we overcorrected, but they would rather I be a little hyper than hypo. It takes a good month for TSH levels to respond to dose increases, so it's good to get them checked sooner rather than later. I just wanted to chime in with something you could possible do while they work out lab orders.

Thanks, @RiverSong15. *TW* With my first pregnancy with DS, my doctor monitored me closely and adjusted my meds numerous times. With the pregnancy I lost, I had my levels tested as soon as I had a BFP and my doctor increased my dosage. I was able to get the lab work done today and the numbers were released to me through an automated process. I know they're too high. I still have most of the bottle of the higher dosage, so I think I am going to take that tomorrow since I know my doctor is going to tell me to switch to that dosage on Monday anyway.
@GeekBeagle Congrats from a fellow March '18er. I am so thrilled for you!
I got a solid smiley on Wednesday. I should be 3 or 4 dpo now. I wasn't tracking too much this month besides watching and waiting to get a negative pregnancy test. So I'm just waiting for my first period since my d & c. However there is a small chance this month. So now I just need to keep myself busy for the next couple weeks and resist the urge to test.
@GeekBeagle Yay! Congratulations!! Glad to see that you were able to get to the lab Saturday and hope that you will get the monitoring you need throughout your pregnancy. FX for a very sticky little bean
I tested this morning at 12 DPO and a BFN. I expected it but always have a glimmer of hope. It seems my glimmer of hope gets smaller and smaller each month
@Mack2342 I'm so sorry. BFN days are the worst. Whenever possible I try to test on days where I don't have much going on so that I can stew in my feels all day if I want to.
Got my crosshairs this morning. It was actually a solid crosshairs this month, which is unusual for me. Must mean I'm totally KU, right? lol Ugh... Now for the waiting...
@Mack2342 I'm so sorry about the BFN. I hear you - that little ray of light seems to get dimmer and dimmer with every treatment cycle. Sometimes I totally have to channel Dory - "just keep swimming, just keep swimming"....

Thanks ladies. I'd like to say maybe it's early but I've accepted the negative. I will likely test one more time to make sure since I'm taking progesterone and will likely need to stop that before AF shows.
@GeekBeagle Congrats!!!! We really need few more bfp this month. It's really weird how I get upset about seeing pregnant woman on a street but I am so truly happy for one of us succeeding.
* lurking from wto @aga31 I'm the same way. I feel like everywhere I turn someone is pg and it stings but seeing someone announce on here and I'm jumping for joy. Gives me hope
