We've been trying to eat out less to save $$$, so I spend time each weekend planning meals and grocery shopping to make said meals. I planned to have sloppy joes last night, and asked DH to take stuff out of the freezer for them (I was running late - of course). I get home and open the fridge to make them and... nothing. So we had to get take out.

But, he did all the dishes, so...

@becausescience my husband is notorious for putting things in the freezer that need to be thawed/shouldn't go in the freezer at all, and also for putting things in the fridge that need to stay frozen. Last Thanksgiving I bought a frozen pumpkin pie to make and he put it in the fridge instead of the freezer and I didn't realize until the whole thing had turned to soup

we laugh about it now but I was not impressed

I second the we we need to eat out less. I usually love cooking but I've been really burnt out by it lately. My husband helped me find two weeks worth of frozen meals at the grocery store. Everything was either stick it in the oven or on a frying pan. Sooooo wonderful. And surprisingly cheap? Weve still eaten breakfast out a couple times but we've eaten every dinner at home.

DH brings the kids to daycare/preschool and picks them up every day, goes to work full time, then takes care of them in the evening since it's volleyball season. I teach all day and coach all evening, so he's been pretty awesome! By late September/early October, it starts to wear on us a bit, so we are pushing through!

Also a vent: DH is like "Tim the Tool Man Taylor" and tries to fix something small at home and it becomes a huge project, ends up costing more, and we may or may not get a hole in our wall. He was convinced yesterday that our fridge stopped working, when in reality our son had just messed with the temperature knob. He took stuff apart last night and is doing it again today and I am so annoyed. STAHP. Back away from the fridge. We have a third on the way and need that fridge money for daycare this spring!!!

DH is downstairs right now building me a drop zone to put all of our sh*t. Of course that means he's using power tools during nap time but as long as DD keeps sleeping he'll remain on my good list.

All he's been doing for like 2 weeks straight is playing video games. I get no attention, no affection. The logical side of me knows he is just trying to live it up as much as he can before the baby comes but the emotional side of me just wants love and affection and I'm not getting any. I don't even get cuddles at night because he stays up until 3am playing his games. We haven't had sex in like 2 weeks and I'm wondering if he doesn't find me attractive now that I'm starting to get pudgy around the middle? Or if me being pregnant just kills the mood for him? I just want my husband back.

@sarahhedger7 is this your first? DH was like that with our first, and I started to worry that it would go on forever. It didn't. It sounds like he's trying to cope with the changes in a way he knows how. I hope you two can talk about it and figure something out that works for your relationship!

@HappyMonkey817 That was my DH week before last. He was so pouty and mopey and I just wanted to yell at him "I've felt like total sh*t for the past 2 months; lock it up!" Men are such babies when they're sick.

Ugh my H has been out of town since Tuesday for a conference, and decided to spend the weekend with his brother in Denver on his way back. He forgot to call me yesterday when his flight landed, and didn't answer when I called last night. I called him when I got off of work today (and then his brother, since he didn't answer) and he called me back like "What's wrong?! Is everything ok?" Dude, everything's fine, but I expect you to check in with me! Plus I'm super hormonal and irritated today and just wanted to bitch for a second and he just didn't seem to get it and I finally just told him I'd talk to him later. Then I cried for about 15 minutes. Even if he doesn't get why I'm being crazy I want him to pretend!

DW was lovely and came to the airport to pick up myself and one of my coworkers after our flight back from a work trip...

And backed right into a cab as we were leaving the parking lot DX

(minor damage, but this is only months after she hit a deer with my car. Both genuine accidents, but she's still not driving my car again for the next month)

You are not alone. My DH is doing the same thing. Playing video games Until late at night, and early in the morning when its usually our sexy time. I've tried talking to him about it, and he says he doesn't know why. Not much i can do about it other than try talking to him. Have you tried talking to your DH?

@sarahhedger7 That's my hubby too but on this tangent about making more money. So he's been up all night trying to find ways for more income. Which is cool, but not at the expense of intimacy....

We live in the same town as my hubby's family. Normally this isn't a problem because we all have jobs and our own lives. We spoke to my MIL this morning (11:45am) about going to a free cultural festival together with DD. We were very specific that we couldn't go until after 2 because DD and I needed a nap (she was still awake and has been resisting nap time). We put DD down and I laid down and next thing I know, DH is waking me up to say his mom showed up unannounced and woke DD up so we could go to the festival. She showed up at like 1:50 even though we told her we'd contact her when we were ready to go because I'm most nauseous right after waking and need some time for my antinausea meds to kick in. So we ended up leaving way earlier than I intended and I felt like crap. But he didn't think it was a problem. It wasn't his nap that got interrupted. Mostly just annoyed (and exhausted).

Ummm mine has spent the past 10 days busting his butt to put sod in our backyard because we live in the desert and the people who did the landscaping obviously didn't have kids. My yard is full of sharp, prickly, dangerous things and rocks. A lot of rocks. So we have been planning to redo the backyard since last fall and the only part that got done was 5 pavers down and a big sand pit with some rocks strewn around. I think I'm already nesting because I'm really wanting the backyard finished with three to four separate projects and I want to clean out and organize our whole garage. And that's just the outside.
