I can completely understand  what u are going through.  I have been there my last pregnancy... So badly wanted a boy but it is DD2,  though i love her to bits from the moment she was placed in my hands.  Mine was a complete surprise as here dr's don't reveal sex of the baby in a/s scans, same for this time too. You do have lots of time to process the fact before the baby arrives,  and you soon will be over it,  don't stress out.  Hugs <3.  Might have my anatomy scan tomorrow or tuesday,  so excited to see the baby,  and also will b taking note of placenta placement( was low lying ),  if it has changed or not.
    Edit: spelling.

  • @auntieraindrop I think a touch of grief is normal.  <3 Sorry that you've been having a rough time of it.

Also, you share a birthday with my mother. :D (Which is also this one's due date. Son was a week late, so we'll see.)

Pretty excited for the start of the NFL season! Go pack go!
  • @sonalisharma I hope you get good news on the placenta placement. They were a bit concerned about mine because I had some early second trimester spotting, but it is high and on the right side, which is apparently fine.
  • @auntieraindrop I can completely relate. Hugs to you. When I found out this LO was another boy I was sad for a split second. I wanted to come here and say that but I was afraid no one would understand and even think I was ungrateful. Kudos to you for not being afraid to share your feelings. I'm sure many of us can relate. As for me, after a day I was more excited. I think it's going to be adorable to watch Blake with his little brother and hopefully best friend.
  • @bainidhedub, I have a DD who is also attached to her "loveys." She HAS to get to bed with TWO blankets (which she calls MayMay 1 and MayMay 2), her stuffed Li-Lyn (lion), Doug the dog, and a stuffed turtle. I also have to sing a very specific song before bed time. If all of these components aren't in place, bedtime is a bit of a nightmare. It cracks me up how much little kids are set in their ways when it comes to routine. Glad you guys were able to find Monkey...I know how hard it would be if one of DD's loveys went missing!
  • @cyanope He loves Monkey in general but he is VERY particular about bedtime too! He's gotta have George Monkey, Big Monkey, a bink (no not that kind the other kind), the gray pillow case or else it's not HIS pillow, socks on, clock plugged in for a night light, ceiling fan on, Sheep Sheep the Sleep Sheep playing the rain sound, and read at least one bedtime story.

  • We are getting a Tile to sew inside of Monkey. The trick will be not letting him realize that if he pushes on Monkey's belly he'll be able to make Mom and Dad's phones ring.

  • The lovey discussion is cracking me up. DS has an elephant that he calls 'Bo Bo', a monkey named 'Joey' and 'blankie'. It is so cute and funny to listen to him talk about them. Recently we got a fox aka 'Foxy'. Last night at bedtime he tossed the fox and said 'get out of here Foxy!' Kids are hilarious.
