@mrsbacz Is it bad I don't know what a top sheet is?

I hate vacations but love planning them.

The fitted sheet goes directly on your mattress and it's what you sleep on top of. The top sheet is an evil invention that you are supposed to sleep under but just wind up getting your feet all tangled up in. It's useless to me. Just give me all the big fluffy blankets!

  • @SLC1102 cilantro is horrible. @KD5624 soap gene here too. It tastes horrible to me and most people just don't understand
  • Hip-huggers. Even babies are forced to wear them now, pants falling off and diaper butts hanging out... Just make the pants go up to the waist!  I'm not paying 50 extra bucks just because you think normal waists are 'so 90s.'

  • Another one for team No Top Sheet.  They get tangled around your feet, and then when you need the one-leg-out-one-leg-in sleeping position, it gets messy.  Flat sheet and comforter only for this girl.

  • There are too many "rules" here.

Yep. It used to be way different. Hence the mass exodus of 2015 but I won't talk about that.

  • I do not like the articles on the bump, one of them just told me women usually don't starting showing until around 22-28 weeks?!? So that means my pants are no longer buttoning for no reason??  :D
  • 28 weeks?!?!?!  I would say 18-22 sounds more realistic.

  • With DS, I started really showing around 18-20 weeks.  Right before winter break I vividly remember the teacher next door to me, who had known for awhile that I was pregnant, looking at me and telling me that I should probably tell the students before I start getting awkward questions from them.  Up until then, I just looked a little thick around the middle.
  • @ivyvines6 I hate Nutella also!!!

  • ^found the weirdo^   :p
  • @ivyvines6 another weirdo here who hates Nutella. And peanut butter. I tried buying almond butter because it sounds healthy and it tastes like dirt.
  • My UO - I am not into the idea of having a "gender reveal party." I am happy to go to these events for my friends and families and can see why people love them, but I do not have a desire to have one myself (also, probably why I am team green).

More power to all of you ladies who love this event. Looking forward to hearing how you do your reveal!
  • @kpc914 I have no interest either. The ones that I have seen from acquaintances and work people have been from people that thrive on extra attention.

@char245 I like bump articles as much as I liked knot articles.

...I don't like nutella and nay to top sheets.
    I hate pumpkin spice drinks.
  • @kpc914 a friend of mine did a Facebook live gender reveal. Totally not my style.  I wouldn't want to find out along with everyone else.
  • For my son we had the tech put it in an envelope. We took the envelope to a restaurant and had them make either a blue or pink drink and bring it out in a stainless steel mixing thing and pour it for us. The tables around us and the staff were so excited to see it.
It was honestly amazing. Then we told our family later that night. I wouldn't throw a party but having the sex revealed in a special non traditional way was really fun and really exciting.

For my daughter we found out during the U/S at the same time we found out she had markers for Down syndrome and needed additional testing. The sense of something possibly being "wrong" with her overshadowed the happiness of finding out she was a girl. She doesn't have DS and she's perfectly healthy but I much preferred the way we found out about our son. I made gingerbread girls to reveal to my family. We found out right before Christmas.

  • We had a gender reveal party for our first. Planned for like fifty people, who rsvp'd yes. The day of everyone canceled, and my fiancé was stuck at work and he was hours late. It was a complete disaster and I would not do it again. (It was heartbreaking tbh)
  • We had a gender reveal for our first and I can't say I'm thrilled to have video evidence of how upset my husband was that she was a girl. We definitely won't have a party this time but might do something cute.

Oooh oooh! Speaking of PBJ's! I prefer crunchy peanut butter. (We switched over a couple years back and SO still refers to it as a lifestyle change) Although I actually prefer any other type of nutbutter to peanut butter... And who is going to come forward as the designated weirdo that hates Nutella?
    I'll take this title =)
