I go here now!! My first appointment is Thursday and I could not be more nervous/excited. I should be 9 weeks and the wait has been killing me. I have been very worried over the past several weeks due to some spotting. So I really need this appointment to ease my mind or at least move forward one way or another. I wish I was just excited but I'm such a worrier.
Me! First in visit on Thursday. Not sure when U/S will as they schedule those at a different office. Going alone this time so DH can stay home with 2 year old DS. He will go to U/S with me once scheduled.
Kindof shitty timing as DH and I are in a huge fight, but it's keeping me in a positive head space!
@JJMNO1616 Yay! I'm so excited to see a pic of your little bean! @courtyowl427 Sorry your exciting day is dampened because of a fight... MH and I were having a rough morning on the day of my U/S, but it was all good in the end, so I am hoping for the same for you!

Yep! First ultrasound tomorrow afternoon at 7+3. My OB moved it up a week because I've been having some problems with my thyroid staying in range and I am super nervous! (Also, excited of course!). Good luck to everyone with appointments this week!
My first appointment is Thursday, like lots of ladies! I've been a nervous wreck, so I'm hoping it'll bring some comfort. We will be having an ultrasound, so I can't wait to see the little babe! My mom's birthday is Thursday as well, so if all looks good, I'll be telling her on her birthday!
2nd appointment and U/S on Friday at 8+1. I'll likely get my referral for the high risk doctor at that time too. Nervous and excited. If all goes well, I'll tell my sisters after.
I go on Wednesday to have blood drawn for the Panorama and will get those results back in 2 weeks.

@hedgepig Thanks! I hope it turns out the same as you. Can't tell if I'm legit right one this one or over sensitive with pregnancy hormones. He took DA to family party this afternoon so I could have a break!
@courtyowl427 I hope so too! That's sweet of him to give you a break I know that I've been a little sensitive, and that here it's really hot, which makes both of us irritable.

First appointment on Thursday! I'll be 8+6 and they'll do a vaginal U/S so really hoping and praying to hear a strong healthy heartbeat. Good luck to everyone!
I am super nervous. My U/S was originally scheduled for 9/14 but I woke up with a lip full of cold sores and called my OB to see if my medication was safe. They said I needed to discuss it with the dr directly and I explained that if I wait that long that I'd be stuck with a million for a few months (I get them really bad). The kind receptionist replied "Well lucky for you we just had a cancellation for 12:30pm TODAY, do you want that time slot?"
So we aren't sure if I'm 7 or 8 weeks, I'm nervous it will be too early to hear a heart beat and I will panic for nothing. I'm a FTM and nervous as can be.
What questions should I ask that people forget to at their first appointment?
I just had my first u/s with the RE this morning. I was measuring at 6 weeks (my estimate was that I should be at 6w2d). They seemed concerned at first because they thought I was further along and I had to tell them twice I didn't ovulate until CD 19. He said he saw all the landmarks he would expect to see at 6 weeks. No heartbeat yet. I go back in a week. I forget, but measuring off by 2 days isn't a big deal in the beginning right? I thought I remembered reading there can be a day or two off due to human error or something?
@sparklingdiamond Well if they are basing how far along you are by you LMP then you would be off by 5 days based on an O of CD14 vs 19. So I can see why they would think you should be further along. I don't think measuring 2 days off from your estimated O date is a big deal at all. I think some doctors are just stuck in the mentality of using LMP.

Yes, I just figured an RE would know more than anyone that LMP isn't reliable! I told him I ovulated later before we even started and he didn't really listen. Then I brought it up again and then he finally listened.
@sparklingdiamond the early measurements don't mean too much. They have an error of up to 5 days, so 2 days is nothing. I think it is hard to get something that small into one view to measure. My 7 week scan was supposedly 3 days off, but my 9 week scan was only a day off. I wouldn't worry. At this point the fact that you see an embryo is a good sign. The heartbeat should be detectable in the coming week.
Thursday must be THE day for ultrasounds! I have my third one Thursday, and should be released from the care of the fertility clinic. Like many of you, I am a worrier, so it's nice to have more US due to AMA and IVF. It's amazing to see them and hear the heartbeats. Can't wait to meet them in person! Good luck to all!
@sparklingdiamond depending on what type of ultrasound they used and how well the tech/doctor was able to measure the probability of being off by a few days is more than possible. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
AFM I had my first OB appointment today at 10+1 after being released from my RE. Everything went well and he even used the doppler and I heard the heart rate at 178 They had me do some blood work before I came in and my WBC and Absolute neutrophil were on the high side but he apparently isn't worried. Phew. Now I wait another 4 weeks.
I had my first appointment today. Since I just had my yearly exam a few months ago, they didn't need to do an exam. It was basically just informational, but I decided I love my new practice. The OB took a ton of time with me and answered all of my questions. She said they are really pro-VBAC and would encourage me to try if I want to. I also found out they have the highest successful VBAC rate out of all practices in my hospital. I just felt so positive after leaving. I got all my bloodwork done, and I have an ultrasound scheduled for next Monday. Things are finally starting to feel "real" and after Monday, I'll be more excited.
Birth center orientation went well. Found out that after their major renovation last year they now support water births in 2 out of 3 rooms. I didn't even think that was an option, so that's cool to think about. It was a bit stressful with some of the personalities there (they do group orientations) but all in all went well. The biggest reason I wouldn't end up being able to birth there or have my midwives at my hospital birth would be breech that won't turn, but the one hospital that will try and turn the baby and let you try for a vaginal birth is right around the corner from my house, so there's a silver lining.
