So sick. On zofran 3 times a day. Doesn't seem to really work. Have lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks. Literally no desire to eat or even drink liquids. This is tough. I have resorted to nutritional drinks. I just drank a 'boost' and felt a little better. Any suggestions??
I personally love Orgain. It taste exactly like chocolate almond milk, and the consistency is a lot thinner then Boost or Ensure.
Literally woke up in the middle of the night with severe nausea. This never happened with DS. This first trimester has been so different. Symptoms are all so much more intense and with a toddler to care for. Trying to be grateful but my goodness do I feel AWFUL.

I think it's completely legit to complain about feeling awful. You can feel grateful and crappy at the same time. I don't buy into the logic of "other people have it worse so you can't complain". Like, ok, there is always someone who has it worse. We can escalate all the way up to "omg other people are dead, be grateful you have cancer!". Which is an insane and stupid thought sequence, and is not a positive exercise. Your experience is still legitimate.
I'm 5w2d and have been having nausea for the past ten days. All food still appeals to me, and my appetite is fine. But once a day I'll just feel sort of wobbly/dizzy/nauseous for about two hours. I can't find a pattern to when/why it happens.
I had no idea it could start that early. Any STMs or women who are further along than I am know whether this means I should brace myself for really bad morning sickness?
History (TW/loss/child):

@mdwiny I don't think that you necessarily need to worry about severe MS if you are feeling those feelings now. For me, nausea started shortly after I got my BFP, with this pregnancy and with DD. With DD, I never had puke-my-guts-out MS, just nausea and food aversions until the end of first tri. So, I don't think you need to brace for anything just yet.
Morning sickness has finally started to hit at 6 weeks 3 days. I'm in the "food sounds disgusting but if I don't eat I'll be nauseous....but I'd almost rather be nauseous than eat" phase. And, of course, we're in the middle of a very stressful period at work. Blech.
@mcb2016, a sweet taste in your mouth can, surprisingly, be a sign of dehydration! When I complained of that my first pregnancy my OB told me to double my water intake... shouldn't be a problem with all the nausea right?! /sigh

@zombiemom1318 can you tell me your routine with unisom/B6? I've been taking B6 in the AM but I'm not sure its doing anything for me.
ETA. @allowachick just saw your comment about your routine... I need to take multiple doses of the B6 throughout the day I guess. How does the Unisom help? Do you have trouble sleeping?

@Maureenmce, I'm in the exact same phase as you. Ugh. I hate this part of pregnancy so much. I'm hungry, but nauseous and no food sounds good... but I need to eat or I will throw up. But if I eat the wrong thing... I will throw up...

@ladythrice the unisom helps with the nausea. I do take it at night. The one night I forgot a) I didn't sleep well (stupid sleep med dependencies) and b) the next day was a really bad ms day. I'm even allowed to take a half a unisom in the morning and afternoon but I avoid it because then I nap for hours.

@ladythrice Yeah, it suuuuucks. Last time mine lasted nonstop from 6 weeks to 14 weeks and I didn't take anything at all for it. This time I'm going to see about that B6 or unisom/B6 combination, something. Work is too stressful and running after a toddler is too nausea inducing to just deal with it this time, I think. I'm gonna talk to my doctor about it next Tuesday at my first appointment. Hoping I can just grit it out until then. I saw you said you didn't think what you're taking was working for you though? Are you only taking B6?
@ladythrice I take one whole unisom at night with 50 mg b6 and then I take the other 50 mg of b6 in the morning. I usually have no issues if I forget the b6 but if I forget that unisom then I'm out the next day lol.

@maureenmce same stage, it really sucks! I started my diclegis (unisom/B6 combo) and I had a easier day today. By easier I mean didn't throw up while chasing the toddler
Ok who is eating and drinking strickly to survive at this point? I tried to explain it to my DH today. Like literally absolutely no food or drink sounds even remotely appealing. All smells of EVERYTHING especially food is disgusting to me. I can't think of a single thing I would want to eat in the world for the past 2 weeks. It's madness!! And now im getting that excessive salvia for the past few days. I'm constantly spitting in the sink, toliet, ect. GROSS!! Anyome get that syptom yet?
Today I've been swinging wildly between terrible nausea and EXTREME hunger. Like, I ate a big lunch three hours ago and I just heated up *tomorrow's* lunch because I decided I couldn't wait another 2 hours for dinner. I do not remember being hungry at all in the first tri last time, just nauseous, so this is new for me.
I am experimenting with mixing Hand Foot and Mouth disease with first trimester exhaustion and nausea. I must say the results are much surpassing my initial expectation. I haven't really eaten in about 10 hours, and cringe at the thought of food. I'm going to try some tea with sugar, maybe that will make me feel less undead.
@ngolimento Oh Noooo I'm so sorry to hear you are dealing with that right now. Have you talked to a Dr?
I found out my kiddo's (and therefore mine) diagnosis outside of normal business hours. Everything I've read says the only real danger in first tri is fever. So I'll pop some Tylenol before bed (fevers increase at night) and try to sleep it off. When I got this last year it was super mild, so maybe it will be that way again.
